Kawhi Leonard Thu Jul 9 9:20pm

The Los Angeles Clippers recently agreed to trade forward Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors. In exchange, the Clippers get back Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and draft compensation. This deal was done at the end of June, but has been put on hold while the league continues its investigation into the Clippers' Aspiration scandal. There is a possible outcome where Leonard faces a suspension for his involvement in this scandal. The expectation is that Leonard will be allowed to play, and this deal will be completed ahead of training camp. There should be more details on this situation in the coming weeks.

Jordan Clarkson Thu Jul 9 9:10pm

The New York Knicks have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with guard Jordan Clarkson on Thursday. According to Shams Charania, Clarkson is headed back to New York on a one-year, $3.9 million deal for the 2026-2027 season. Clarkson was a valuable depth piece on this roster during their championship run. He averaged 8.6 points, 1.3 assists, and 1.8 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game across 72 contests last season. The 34-year-old figures to have a similar role on this roster again next season. Clarkson probably won't have nightly fantasy value as a rotational piece, but this is a solid move for the Knicks roster.

    Collin Murray-Boyles Thu Jul 9 10:10am

Toronto Raptors forward Collin Murray-Boyles is expected to take on more on-ball work in the Las Vegas Summer League, according to Michael Grange of Sportsnet. Raptors assistant Ivo Simovic, who will coach Toronto's Summer League team, said the club needs Murray-Boyles to become less one-dimensional as it pushes him toward a bigger role. The No. 9 pick averaged 8.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists as a rookie before jumping to 14.4 points, 6.4 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks in the playoffs. The defensive stats already carry fantasy appeal, but added ball-handling and shooting growth would raise his ceiling.

Terry Rozier Thu Jul 9 9:50am

Former Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier wants to play in the NBA again while fighting sports gambling charges, according to the Associated Press. His path back remains complicated, as bail conditions currently limit his travel and bar contact with certain potential witnesses. Rozier remains a free agent after Miami released him in April, and he missed the 2025-26 season after being placed on leave. Even before his legal hurdles, the 32-year-old struggled to produce, averaging just 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists while shooting 39.1 percent from the field across 64 games in 2024-25. His fantasy profile remains entirely on hold until he signs with a team and his court restrictions are eased enough for him to take the floor.

Jonas Valanciunas Thu Jul 9 9:30am

Free-agent center Jonas Valanciunas is among the centers on the New York Knicks' radar, according to SNY's Ian Begley. The Knicks had interest in Valanciunas during the 2024 offseason, and Begley noted that New York would have solid center depth if he chooses them in free agency. The veteran big man averaged 8.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 65 games last season while playing a limited role in Denver. New York already added Andre Drummond behind Karl-Anthony Towns, so Valanciunas would likely need a clear backup role to regain fantasy relevance. His best path remains rebounds, efficient scoring, and short-minute double-double production.

Peyton Watson Thu Jul 9 9:10am

Denver Nuggets forward Peyton Watson is receiving interest from the Los Angeles Clippers, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. The Nuggets can match any offer sheet for the restricted free agent and reportedly want to keep him, though a sign-and-trade remains possible. Watson broke out last season with 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, and his defensive profile gives him a cleaner fantasy path than most low-usage wings. A Clippers move could help if it brings starter-level minutes, but the roster still has Brandon Ingram, Bennedict Mathurin, Rui Hachimura, and Jordan Miller in the wing mix.

Bennedict Mathurin Thu Jul 9 9:10am

Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin remains a player the team wants to keep in restricted free agency, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. The Clippers tendered Mathurin a qualifying offer, giving them matching rights, and he averaged 17.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists across 54 games last season. The scoring and free-throw volume keep him fantasy-relevant when the minutes are steady, but his 31.5 percent shooting from deep limits the ceiling. A return to Los Angeles would keep him in the mix for a real role, though his value still depends on starter-level minutes and improved efficiency.

Micah Potter Wed Jul 8 10:10pm

Indiana Pacers center Micah Potter will be waived to complete the team's signing of Larry Nance Jr., according to Alex Golden of Setting The Pace. Potter's $2.8 million contract was non-guaranteed, and the move creates a small cap savings for Indiana after adding Nance on a veteran-minimum deal. The 28-year-old had a useful run last season, averaging 9.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists across 47 games while shooting 42.3 percent from three-point range. Potter's stretch-big skill set could draw interest elsewhere, but he falls off the fantasy radar until he lands another NBA role.

Myron Gardner Wed Jul 8 10:00pm

Miami Heat forward Myron Gardner (ankle) will miss the remainder of Summer League after spraining his ankle in Friday's California Classic opener against the San Antonio Spurs, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Gardner exited that game after posting two points, four rebounds, and two assists in seven minutes, then missed Sunday's matchup with the Lakers. The injury costs the 25-year-old valuable developmental reps after he averaged 3.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists for Miami last season. He remains off the fantasy radar unless injuries open a clearer regular-season role.

Marcus Sasser Wed Jul 8 9:50pm

Dallas Mavericks guard Marcus Sasser was acquired from the Detroit Pistons as part of a six-team trade, according to Mavs PR. Dallas also added Santi Aldama and the draft rights to Tarik Biberovic in the deal. Sasser had a limited role in Detroit last season, averaging 5.2 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists across 12.0 minutes per game. The 25-year-old shot 41.5 percent from three-point range, which gives him a useful path to bench minutes in his new home. However, his immediate fantasy ceiling is severely capped by a crowded depth chart. With Kyrie Irving returning to health to anchor the backcourt alongside Ryan Nembhard and rookie Sergio de Larrea, Sasser will have to fight for consistent reserve reps under new head coach Dusty May. Until he carves out a definitive rotation role, his fantasy value remains thin.

Mo Bamba Wed Jul 8 9:40pm

Free-agent center Mo Bamba agreed to a two-year deal to return to the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Bamba appeared in four NBA games last season between Toronto and Utah, averaging 2.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 0.3 assists, but he was more productive with the Salt Lake City Stars at 16.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. The 28-year-old gives Utah another rim-protecting depth option behind Jusuf Nurkic. Bamba's blocks remain the fantasy hook, but he needs a real rotation role before becoming more than an injury-dependent streamer.

Jonas Valanciunas Wed Jul 8 9:30pm

Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas is being waived, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The veteran big man is expected to draw interest from multiple NBA teams after averaging 8.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists across 65 games last season. The move allows Denver to avoid guaranteeing his full $10 million salary for 2026-27, officially clearing the way for recent signee Marvin Bagley III to handle the backup center duties behind Nikola Jokic. Valanciunas can still offer efficient scoring and short-minute double-double upside, but his fantasy ceiling is completely dependent on landing with a franchise that provides a consistent frontcourt role.

Larry Nance Jr. Wed Jul 8 9:20pm

Free-agent forward/center Larry Nance Jr. agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal with the Indiana Pacers, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The 33-year-old spent last season with Cleveland, averaging 3.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists while playing a limited role. Nance gives Indiana another veteran frontcourt piece who can rebound, pass, and defend multiple spots, but his fantasy ceiling remains low without a clear path to steady minutes. He would need injuries or a larger-than-expected bench role to become more than a situational fantasy option.

Brooks Barnhizer Wed Jul 8 10:30am

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Brooks Barnhizer finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, and one steal across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 103-69 Salt Lake City Summer League loss to the Utah Jazz. The No. 44 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft kept producing even as Oklahoma City rested Aday Mara and Bennett Stirtz. Barnhizer's fantasy case is built more on activity than scoring, as his college profile included rebounds, steals, and secondary playmaking. He still has to prove the jumper will hold, but the multi-category flashes give him a useful developmental lane.

Henri Veesaar Wed Jul 8 10:20am

Atlanta Hawks center Henri Veesaar recorded 11 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block across 24 minutes in Tuesday's 96-82 Salt Lake City Summer League win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The No. 52 pick shot 4-for-9 from the field and 2-for-5 from deep, showcasing the floor-spacing element that made him intriguing at North Carolina. While his versatile skill set gives him long-term appeal, he opens his rookie campaign buried on the depth chart. With Onyeka Okongwu, Jock Landale, Mouhamed Gueye, and fellow rookie Zuby Ejiofor all competing for frontcourt minutes, Veesaar lacks a clear path to playing time. He must carve out a definitive reserve role in training camp before managers can trust him for regular-season production.

Jonathan Kuminga Wed Jul 8 10:00am

Free-agent forward Jonathan Kuminga remains a top target for the Los Angeles Lakers, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater. The 23-year-old hit the open market after Atlanta declined his $24.3 million team option following a season split between the Warriors and Hawks, where he averaged 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists across 36 games. A potential sign-and-trade to Los Angeles would create a highly favorable fantasy environment. With LeBron James and Rui Hachimura departing this summer, the Lakers desperately need athletic scoring on the wing. Kuminga would immediately step into heavy minutes alongside Luka Doncic, whose elite playmaking could easily fuel a career year. While his lack of blocked shots and steals keeps his ceiling in check, securing a featured role in coach JJ Redick's offense would make him a reliable source of points and rebounds.

Bruce Thornton Wed Jul 8 9:50am

Houston Rockets guard Bruce Thornton signed a four-year, $9.3 million deal that includes one fully guaranteed season, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The No. 31 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft provides Houston with another sturdy backcourt option after a decorated four-year run at Ohio State. Thornton averaged 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists as a senior while shooting 55.4 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from the three-point range. Although he was an elite collegiate scorer, his immediate path to playing time is firmly blocked. With Fred VanVleet returning to a crowded depth chart that also features rising guard Reed Sheppard, Thornton will likely have to fight to secure consistent reserve minutes.

Quinten Post Wed Jul 8 9:40am

Memphis Grizzlies center Quinten Post is joining the team after the Golden State Warriors declined to match his three-year, $30 million offer sheet, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Post averaged 7.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 17.3 minutes across 67 games last season, including 35 starts. The 26-year-old gives Memphis a stretch-big option after hitting 93 threes for Golden State. However, his immediate fantasy ceiling is severely capped by a crowded depth chart. With Zach Edey returning to health alongside recent offseason additions Cameron Boozer and Isaiah Stewart, Post will have to fight for consistent minutes before becoming more than a situational source of triples for fantasy managers.

Felix Okpara Wed Jul 8 9:40am

Washington Wizards center Felix Okpara has agreed to a two-way contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The Orlando Magic originally selected him with the 46th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft before dealing him to Washington on draft night. The 22-year-old averaged 8.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks while shooting 59.7 percent from the field last season, earning SEC All-Defensive Team honors at Tennessee. Although his elite rim protection stands out, this two-way designation confirms he is headed for a developmental year in the G League. Okpara opens his rookie campaign buried on the depth chart behind Anthony Davis, Alexandre Sarr, and Tristan Vukcevic. Unless the Wizards endure a severe string of frontcourt injuries, the rookie lacks the immediate opportunity to supply reliable blocked shots or rebounding.

Guerschon Yabusele Tue Jul 7 10:40pm

Free-agent forward/center Guerschon Yabusele has agreed to a three-year deal with Panathinaikos, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Scotto reported that the 30-year-old will be one of the top three highest-paid players in Europe. Yabusele spent the last two seasons with the 76ers, Knicks, and Bulls, but his production dipped to 5.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.9 assists across 67 combined games last year. The veteran's departure clears the way for Chicago's revamped frontcourt, meaning Caleb Wilson, Nicolas Claxton, and Leonard Miller will handle the bulk of the interior minutes. Yabusele is completely off the fantasy radar as he returns overseas.
