For next year, we will most likely do away with the slow draft and do all 16 rounds of as a live draft. This year both conferences completed about 10 rounds in around an hour, so I think we should be able to complete all 16 rounds in around 2 hours. A draft date will be announced far enough in advance that any owners should be able to avoid conflicts with the date, or have enough time to make arrangements to have someone draft for them etc... I'm also looking to do it on a Sunday evening @ 6PM rather than earlier in the day, as I think it would help avoid potential conflicts with some owners.

Another thing I'm looking to do is add a 3 man Taxi squad to our rosters. The way the Taxi squad works is that at the beginning of the season before the first game starts, owners can place up to 3 players on their taxi squad which would open up space on their active roster for future free agent pickups etc... Once the season starts, you cannot place any players on your taxi squad but you can promote players from your taxi squad to your active roster. Once you promote that player, they cannot go back to the Taxi. The Taxi squad is a great place to put players like rookies that you don't expect will help you this season, but you think will help you in the following year or in the future. Many times when drafting, we take a shot on a rookie or veteran that may not contribute at all this year but we think could be a future star. The Taxi is a place to put them without wasting space on your active roster. If that player happens to take off that year and would add value to your active roster, you can promote them off your Taxi.
