Bengals' QB Joe Flacco scored 26.55 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 8 loss against the Jets. Flacco threw for 223 yards on 21-of-34 with two touchdowns.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (shoulder) is being considered day-to-day with a shoulder injury after the team's Week 8 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, according to head coach Zac Taylor. Flacco is sore the day after the team's one-point loss. In the 39-38 loss, the 40-year-old signal-caller went 21-for-34 passing for 233 yards and two touchdowns while adding 14 rushing yards and a third touchdown. The Bengals gave the Jets their first win of the year, but Flacco was once again very adequate for fantasy managers who had him in their starting lineups. He has thrown for over 200 yards in each of his three starts with the Bengals, and he has made receiver Ja'Marr Chase elite again. While it sounds like Flacco's injury isn't a serious one, fantasy managers will want to monitor his status ahead of the Week 9 game versus the Chicago Bears.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) is considered day-to-day because of a shoulder injury, according to head coach Zac Taylor.
Fantasy Spin: Flacco has played well since taking over the Bengals quarterback job with five touchdowns in the last two games. Fantasy players can check on his status later in the week because Flacco can be a possible option in two-quarterback leagues if he is cleared to play.
From TheHuddle
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco put up big numbers once again in his third start for the team, a 39-38 Week 8 loss to the New York Jets. Flacco completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 223 yards and two touchdowns, adding two rush attempts for 14 yards and a score as well. The 40-year-old has now thrown for 784 yards, seven touchdowns, and zero interceptions since taking over for the Bengals under center in Week 6. Perhaps most notably for fantasy managers, Flacco has attempted a whopping 126 passes in his last three games played. If Cincinnati maintains a ridiculously high-volume passing attack, Flacco could be a good bet for low-end starting fantasy production at the quarterback position every week. The Bengals have another favorable matchup on paper in Week 9 when they host the Chicago Bears.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Flacco completed 21-of-34 for 223 yards and two touchdowns without an interception and ran twice for 14 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the New York Jets.
Fantasy Spin: It was the third straight start for Flacco, who threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns in Week7 vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. Flacco landed on his right shoulder when he was sacked by Will McDonald IV midway through the fourth. He was checked out before taking the field for the team's final drive. Flacco has seven TDs and no picks in his three starts, is only a starting option in two-quarterback leagues at this point.
From TheHuddle
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco has momentum on his side as he prepares for a favorable Week 8 matchup against the New York Jets. Flacco is coming off one of his best games in recent memory, completing 31 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns while surrendering zero turnovers. He looks like a completely different quarterback than the Flacco who was benched by the Browns and subsequently traded just a few weeks ago. While we don't expect the veteran to replicate last week's line every game, it was encouraging to see him break out because it confirms that he's at least capable of throwing the football effectively while limiting turnovers. It also provided optimism for fantasy managers with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. The 40-year-old is on track to have another productive game against the 0-7 Jets, who have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks despite having a secondary anchored by Sauce Gardner. Flacco is a mid-range fantasy QB2 with legitimate QB1 upside.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco looked good in the narrow win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. He would go on to finish that one by throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns off 31-for-47 passing. With the Bengals sitting at a 3-4 through the first seven weeks of the 2025 campaign, the team will look to get to .500 with a victory over the Jets. New York is still currently searching for a win. Although the Jets lost three of their seven contests by two points, it's safe to say the club has some work to do moving forward. New York will be without Sauce Gardner (concussion), which isn't good news. To make matters worse, Garrett Wilson (knee) has also been ruled out, while Breece Hall (knee), Mason Taylor (quadriceps), Josh Reynolds (hip), and Tyrod Taylor (knee) are questionable. With that in mind, Flacco was already an attractive fantasy commodity in any format based on the matchup alone. However, considering the number of ailing quarterbacks around the National Football League and six teams getting the week off, the signal-caller can be started in nearly all fantasy setups.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco led the offense to its best performance of the season in Week 7 against the Steelers, throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns as the team scored 33 points in an upset win. Despite joining the Bengals just over two weeks ago, Flacco has been a clear upgrade at quarterback, totaling 561 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions with a 65.2% completion rate across his two starts. The 40-year-old will go on the road in Week 8 to face a New England defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco is a strong streaming option ahead of Week 8 with six NFL teams on bye. This coming weekend will feature 2025's largest bye week, with quite a few high-powered offenses taking a game off. While Flacco projects to be a nice fill-in for the diminished slate, he's been excellent either way, posting 561 yards and a 5:0 TD:INT ratio since being traded to the Bengals. Moreover, he's slated for two juicy matchups ahead of the team's Week 10 bye in the New York Jets and Chicago Bears. If he can keep up his recent string of performances, it isn't out of the question that the 40-year-old can become a consistent fantasy starter. For all the flak he's taken over the years, Flacco has performed well when given the weapons to succeed.

Bengals' QB Joe Flacco scored 29.40 fantasy points in Thursday's Week 7 win against the Steelers. Flacco threw for 342 yards on 31-of-47 with three touchdowns.
Dynasty | Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco completed 31-of-47 passes for 342 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in a win against Pittsburgh. Dynasty Analysis: After playing it safe last week, the Bengals just unleashed Flacco and hoped for the best. It worked out great in this one as he torched the Steelers through the air, connecting with Ja'Marr Chase on a ridiculous 16-of-23 targets. There are going to be up and down days with him but he's raised the floor on this offense and looks like a decent QB2 until further notice.
Dynasty | Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase had a franchise record 16 catches on 23 targets for 161 yards and a touchdown in a win against the Steelers. Dynasty Analysis: Well, apparently someone told Joe Flacco to just throw the ball to Chase whenever possible and hope it works. It certainly did on Thursday and Chase just dominated the Steelers. Flacco has clearly given Chase an avenue to still thrive, something he just couldn't do with Jake Browning at the helm. He's always been a must-start, but Chase could somehow still end up being the overall WR1, which is a testament to just how talented he really is.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Flacco connected on 31 of his 47 passing attempts for 342 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fantasy Spin: After looking sharp in the second half of the loss to Green Bay, Flacco got dialed in quicker on Thursday night, directing 33 of his 47 passes toward Ja'Marr Chase or Tee Higgins. The veteran was decisive and accurate, and his game plan of getting the ball to his best players worked out. Flacco looks like a completely different quarterback in Cincinnati than he did in Cleveland, conjuring up visions of his December 2023 performance when he averaged 324 yards, 2.6 TDs, and 1.6 INTs per game with those same Browns. The veteran could certainly have a shelf life -- he wasn't nearly as effective filling in for the Colts last year -- but if you're seeking a matchup-based QB2 in the same vein as Matthew Stafford or Aaron Rodgers, Flacco might deliver.
From TheHuddle
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco completed 31 of his 47 pass attempts for 342 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Thursday's Week 7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also took two sacks. Just nine days removed from his trade to Cincinnati and three weeks removed from his benching in Cleveland, the veteran quarterback showed flashbacks to the peak of his career back in the 2010s. This was Flacco's first performance with three passing touchdowns and zero turnovers since Week 1 of the 2018 season. Perhaps most impressive -- beyond the fact that Flacco dug Cincinnati out of a multiple-possession deficit -- was the veteran quarterback posting such a good performance despite a matchup against a talented Pittsburgh Steelers defense. He didn't let T.J. Watt fluster him, nor did he have much trouble keeping the ball away from a solid secondary. Flacco has shown upside in years past, but he seems to have unlocked a whole new ceiling with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins at his disposal. He'll vault into the high-end QB2 range for Week 8 against the New York Jets.
