Todd Gurley Jun 20 5:53pm ET

Free-agent RB Todd Gurley (Falcons) would be the No. 3 running back if he signs with the Detroit Lions behind RBs D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams, according to the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett

    From TheHuddle

Rashard Higgins Jun 20 4:43pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins (undisclosed) missed the last two days of minicamp because of a undisclosed injury. The injury is considered minor.

    From TheHuddle

    Tre'Quan Smith Jun 20 2:33pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith has been working out with QB Jameis Winston on a regular basis this offseason.

Fantasy Spin: Smith is in line for a bigger role this season and likely will be one of the starting receivers for the Saints. He has played well at times over the last few years and can be a deep threat option in the passing game. Fantasy players can consider him a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver.

    From TheHuddle

Allen Robinson Jun 20 2:13pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson said he is open to playing on the one-year franchise tag this season. He said there is no news regarding a long-term contract with the Bears.

Fantasy Spin: Robinson has been one of the top receivers in the NFL over the last few seasons and will continue to be the main focus in the passing game for Chicago. He is a weekly must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

Stephen Gostkowski Jun 20 1:53pm ET

Free-agent PK Stephen Gostkowski (Titans) is interested in continuing his career.

    From TheHuddle

Lamarcus Joyner Jun 20 1:13pm ET

New York Jets S Lamarcus Joyner was used primarily at free safety during the minicamp last week.

    From TheHuddle

Xavien Howard Jun 19 10:53pm ET

Miami Dolphins CB Xavien Howard has recorded an NFL-high 22 interceptions since the start of the 2017 season.

    From TheHuddle

Jalen Ramsey Jun 19 10:23pm ET

Los Angeles Rams CB Jalen Ramsey allowed a total of 32 receptions in 2020 and gave up fewer than 25 receiving yards 11 times.

    From TheHuddle

Calvin Ridley Jun 19 10:13pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley was targeted on 19.9 percent of his routes when Tennessee Titans WR Julio Jones was also on the field in 2020, and he was targeted on 30.8 percent of his routes when Jones wasn't on the field.

Fantasy Spin: With Jones heading to Tennessee this offseason, Ridley becomes the unquestioned go-to weapon for Matt Ryan. He will have to deal with more attention from opposing defenses, but Ridley should see enough targets to be in the WR1 mix.

    From TheHuddle

Joe Mixon Jun 19 9:43pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon was on pace for 373 touches in 2020 before suffering a foot injury, and his 21 touches inside the 5-yard line in 2019 were tied for the league lead.

Fantasy Spin: With little competition in the Cincinnati backfield, Mixon is once again positioned for a heavy workload. The volume alone should allow him to deliver RB1 production, and a career year isn't out of the question if the offense makes strides in Joe Burrow's second year under center.

    From TheHuddle

Dalvin Cook Jun 19 9:13pm ET

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook leads all players with 47 touches from inside the 5-yard line over the past two seasons, and he also leads all players with 19 touchdowns from inside the 5-yard line in that span.

Fantasy Spin: Cook's status as an every-down back from goal line to goal line gives him as much upside as any RB1 candidate heading into 2021. The only concern with Cook is his injury history, but the reward is worth the risk. He should not make it out of the top five in any draft.

    From TheHuddle

Cole Beasley Jun 19 2:23pm ET

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley said Saturday, June 19, that he may consider retirement over his disagreement with the league's continuing COVID-19 protocols for unvaccinated players such as himself.

Fantasy Spin: Beasley finished second on the team with 107 targets, 82 receptions and 967 receiving yards last season -- all career highs -- and finished 27th among wide receivers with 202.7 PPR points. Things have flared up recently over the vaccination issue, and we'd expect cooler heads to prevail as it's hard to imagine Beasley walking away from the Bills' near-ideal situation right now. Still, the uncertainty with Beasley must be baked in if you're drafting any time soon.

    From TheHuddle

Baker Mayfield Jun 19 9:13am ET

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has a noticeable increase in his confidence level, according to offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. 'In the last seven or eight games last year, he really played really well,' Van Pelt said. 'I think he now feels that. He understands what that looks like and how he has to operate within the system to be successful. Now that he realizes that, you see it more in practice.'

Fantasy Spin: Mayfield had a breakthrough last year, but he was just 17th among quarterbacks in fantasy points. He could improve upon that, but we're still looking at a QB2 in fantasy.

    From TheHuddle

Hunter Henry Jun 19 12:43am ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry has been 'catching everything thrown his way' during minicamp, according to Mike Dussault of

Fantasy Spin: The Patriots overhauled their tight end room this offseason, and while Henry has delivered TE1 numbers when healthy, his ceiling is going to be limited while playing alongside Jonnu Smith in a run-heavy offense.

    From TheHuddle

Gerald Everett Jun 18 11:43pm ET

Seattle Seahawks TE Gerald Everett was mentioned by head coach Pete Carroll as a breakout candidate for 2021.

Fantasy Spin: The Seahawks haven't featured the tight end in their passing attack, but Everett could be worth a look as a TE2 in case he emerges as a red zone weapon or even the primary option at the position.

    From TheHuddle

Ben Roethlisberger Jun 18 6:30pm ET

Five-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Trai Turner finished up his visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday, according to a source. The Steelers had the worst rushing offense in the league last year thanks to a bad offensive line, so it makes sense that they're searching for more help up front. Pittsburgh is replacing three of their five starters along the offensive line this year. Second-year guard Kevin Dotson is currently projected to be the team's starting left guard, with three-time All-Pro David DeCastro locked into the right guard spot. The 28-year-old Turner would create competition on the interior and would bring valuable experience in front of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is likely heading into his final season. Turner made just nine starts with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020 and hasn't played a full season in five years thanks to injuries.

    From RotoBaller

Nick Chubb Jun 18 5:23pm ET

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb said he hopes to sign a long-term deal with the Browns and that his agent has been talking with the Browns about an extension this offseason.

Fantasy Spin: Chubb has rushed for at least 990 yards in each of the three seasons in the NFL and will continue to be a big part of the offense for the Browns. He should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.
