Blaine Gabbert Sep 25 3:30pm ET

The Tennessee Titans are signing free-agent quarterback Austin Davis on Tuesday, according to a source. It gives the team some veteran insurance with Blaine Gabbert in the concussion protocol and Marcus Mariota still nursing an elbow injury. Davis spent last season with Seattle but didn't attempt a pass. He hasn't attempted a pass in the NFL since 2015 with the Browns.

Jimmy Garoppolo Sep 25 2:20pm ET

The Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers have inquired about free-agent quarterback Matt Moore. Moore has turned down the Titans. The Titans are looking for QB depth after Blaine Gabbert suffered a concussion in Week 3. San Fran also needs depth with Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) out for the rest of the season. Moore spent the last seven seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Tyrod Taylor Sep 25 2:10pm ET

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles will take back some of the play-calling duties from defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers heading into Week 4. Specifically, Bowles will call the plays in two-minute and hurry-up situations, according to sources. The Jets defense was able to handle Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the first half of last week's Thursday night game, but rookie Baker Mayfield couldn't be stopped in the second half. Bowles is taking over mainly to improve the communication before the snap, as the Jets defense was often not ready when Baker was leading the offense at a quicker pace. The Jets defense isn't a streaming option this week against the Jaguars.

Dalvin Cook Sep 25 2:10pm ET

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said running back Dalvin Cook (hamstring) has a "possibility" of playing on Thursday night against the Rams. Cook is looking truly questionable for this one after sitting out in Week 3, and he could even be a game-time decision. In a tough matchup against the Rams, Cook will be a low-end RB2 if he suits up, and he could lose valuable touches to backup Latavius Murray. If Cook is inactive again, Murray will be in play as an RB3/flex option.

Jared Goff Sep 25 2:00pm ET

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen will not travel with the team and will not play on Thursday against the Rams, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. Griffen is currently in the hospital being examined with serious mental-health issues. Its about him getting better. In the five years Ive been here, Ive always loved Everson," Zimmer said. There is no timetable for Griffen's return, so you'll have to make other plans if you own him in IDP leagues. Griffen had a career-high 13 sacks last year, so losing him for any amount of time will be a blow to Minnesota's pass rush. That's good news for Rams quarterback Jared Goff this week.

Dirk Koetter Sep 25 12:20pm ET

All indications seem to be that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will keep the starting job despite Jameis Winston returning from his three-game suspension heading into Week 4. Fitzpatrick had his worst game of the season in Monday night's loss to the Steelers, but he still went 30-for-50 for 411 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions, setting a team record for his third straight 400-yard passing game. "Of course, we love Jameis," head coach Dirk Koetter said. "Jameis is a member of our team and anxious to get him back. He'll be great in our locker room. And I know Jameis, whatever role he ends up in, I know Jameis will embrace that role and give it everything he's got." A decision has yet to be made by the team, but we'd be surprised if Winston is handed the job after he hasn't played in more than a month. Fitzpatrick won't be this good all year, obviously, and he has a tough matchup in the Bears defense in Week 4 if he's still the starter. But Fitzpatrick is still worth trotting out there in two-QB leagues if he continues to play.

Everson Griffen Sep 25 12:10pm ET

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen is unlikely to play this Thursday night against the Rams as he battles a serious mental-health related issue. He is currently undergoing evaluation at a local hospital, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. There is no timetable for Griffen to be back with the team, so this is a concerning issue for their defense. Griffen signed a four-year, $58 million contract extension with the team last year. The 30-year-old had a career-high 13 sacks in 2017.

Joe Flacco Sep 25 11:40am ET

The Baltimore Ravens have signed center Hroniss Grasu to help bolster a struggling offensive line. The Ravens offensive line entered their Week 3 game against the Denver Broncos ranked 28th in the league overall and 30th in run blocking by Pro Football Focus. The O-line showed significant improvement against the Broncos as running backAlex Collins racked up a season-high 68 yards on 18 carries. They also protected quarterback Joe Flacco decently well, allowing two sacks and three quarterback hits. However, the Ravens produced just 2.8 yards per rushing attempt versus the Broncos and backup quarterback Lamar Jackson still has the team's longest run of the season (16 yards in Week 1). Grasu, selected in the third round of the 2015 draft, has had a difficult time on field as well as staying healthy. The 27-year-old has started 12 of his 14 career appearances. He finished ranked among the worst centers by Pro Football Focus in 2017. The Ravens waived defensive back Robertson Daniel, who was on the field for 10 special teams snaps in Week 3, to make room for Grasu. With the addition of Grasu, the Ravens now have three reserve offensive linemen on their 53-man roster.

Jerry Hughes Sep 25 11:40am ET

Buffalo Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes has been creating havoc for opposing offenses this season. Hughes was a monster along the Bills defensive line against the Vikings in Week 3. The ninth-year pro recorded one of the highest defensive grades by Pro Football Focus (93.4) on Sunday, as he was credited with a league-high nine hurries and 15 quarterback pressures. Overall, he registered one tackle, which was a sack, and a forced fumble in the game. Hughes, who is currently ranked as the top pass-rushing end and No. 7 overall in 2018 by PFF, has posted nine tackles (eight solos), six quarterback hits and two sacks through three games. The former TCU Horned Frog recorded 19.5 sacks in his first two seasons with the Bills (2013-14), but only had 15 over his previous three campaigns. While fantasy players should avoid the Bills defense as a unit, Hughes is someone who should be given a look for players that are in leagues that use individual defensive players.

Everson Griffen Sep 25 9:13am ET

Updating previous reports, Minnesota Vikings DE Everson Griffen (undisclosed) has been undergoing evaluation for a serious mental health issue for weeks.

Vance McDonald Sep 25 8:00am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Vance McDonald turned in an exceptional game on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. McDonald finished with four catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. The veteran tight end ripped off a 75-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter which saw him level a Tampa Bay defender with a fierce stiff-arm on his way to the end zone. McDonald appears to be fully healthy after missing most of the preseason and Week 1. He has moved ahead of Jesse James in the tight end rotation and could return low-end TE1 numbers if he remains involved in the game plan going forward.

    From RotoBaller

James Conner Sep 25 7:30am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner picked up 61 rushing yards on 15 carries while adding five catches for 34 yards in his team's 30-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Conner failed to pick up a touchdown for the first time of the season but he was still able to salvage his night with his prowess in the passing game. Conner now has 213 rushing yards, 15 receptions, 139 receiving yards, and three touchdowns on the year. He will remain a solid RB1 in fantasy for as long as Le'Veon Bell is away from the team. Week 4 brings a Sunday night matchup for Conner against the Baltimore Ravens.

    From RotoBaller

Ben Roethlisberger Sep 25 7:20am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger turned in an excellent performance in his team's 30-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday. Roethlisberger completed 30 of his 38 pass attempts for 353 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. The road win was a welcome sight for fantasy owners who have become used to seeing Roethlisberger struggle on the road recently. Roethlisberger now has 1,140 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions through the first three games of the season. Locked in as a mid-range QB1, he will look to keep it going in Week 4 when the Baltimore Ravens come to Pittsburgh on Sunday night.

Antonio Brown Sep 25 12:43am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown hauled in six receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Spin: Brown was third on the team in receiving yardage in this one, although he still was second in targets. JuJu Smith-Schuster is taking advantage of the attention paid to Brown, putting up monster numbers while AB84 has more modest stat lines. Brown and the Steelers host the Ravens in Week 4.

Vance McDonald Sep 25 12:43am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Vance McDonald posted four grabs for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Spin: McDonald made the highlight reel by a sick stiff arm on Chris Conte in the first quarter, just abusing the defensive back en route to a 75-yard touchdown to opener the scoring for the Steelers. Despite the big game, he has put up TE2 caliber numbers to this point. The Steelers host the Ravens in Week 4.

Jesse James Sep 25 12:43am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Jesse James posted just one reception for seven yards on his only target in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Spin: Yuck. Vance McDonald got off to a huge start with a 75-yard stiff arm and score in the first quarter and James was a forgotten man in the offense. James and the Steelers will welcome the Ravens to town in Week 4. Treat James as a TE2 for that matchup.

Bud Dupree Sep 25 12:43am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers LB Bud Dupree had a hand on three total tackles with a sack, a tackle for loss, a pass defensed, three quarterback hits and a 10-yard interception return for touchdown in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, Sept. 24.

    JuJu Smith-Schuster Sep 25 12:33am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster posted nine receptions for 116 yards on 11 targets in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster has posted at least 116 receiving yards in each of his first three games, and he has racked up 22 catches with 30 targets over the past two outings. Smith-Schuster's huge numbers are not making those who own stock in Antonio Brown smile. The second-year receiver from USC has emerged as a legit WR1 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 against the Ravens.

James Conner Sep 25 12:33am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner rushed 15 times for 61 yards in the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, Sept. 24, and he added five grabs for 34 yards on six targets.

Fantasy Spin: Conner hasn't had a big game since Week 1, but he did save his best for last with a long run to secure the victory in the fourth quarter. A total of 95 scrimmage yards and five receptions is nothing to sneeze at for fantasy owners in PPR leagues, he just set the bar so high in the opener. He remains a solid low-end RB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 against the Ravens.

    Jason Pierre-Paul Sep 25 12:23am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE Jason Pierre-Paul finished with five total tackles, two sacks and four quarterback hits with a forced fumble in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, Sept. 24. It was his 17th career multi-sack game, and the 14th time he has registered a forced fumble.
