  • Player Notes
Keenan Allen Oct 22 1:10pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (shoulder), who was questionable for Week 7 against the Broncos, will play, according to a source. Allen suffered a shoulder injury in practice this week, but it's not serious enough to keep him out. Despite only having one touchdown -- in Week 1 against these same Broncos -- Allen has double-digit targets in four of six games and has topped 100 yards twice. He should be locked in as a WR2 now that he'll be playing.

Melvin Gordon Oct 22 1:10pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon (shoulder), who was questionable for Week 7 against Denver, will play, according to a source. The Chargers offense runs through Gordon both on the ground and through the air, and he's strong RB1 choice despite the fact that the Broncos run defense has been the best so far in 2017.

Jordan Matthews Oct 22 1:10pm ET

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jordan Matthews (thumb) will play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7. Matthews injured the thumb during the matchup against the Atlanta Falcons and subsequently sat out against the Cincinnati Bengals two weeks ago. Though he was slated to be out for at least four weeks, the team was delighted to find out that he would be available to play. With a special glove for added protection, Matthews will look to add on to what has been an underwhelming season for the wideout.

Sterling Shepard Oct 22 1:10pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (ankle) is expected to return in Week 7 against the Seahawks after his one-game absence, according to a source. With New York's receiving corps decimated by injuries, Shepard will return to the No. 1 role alongside tight end Evan Engram. You may want to temper expectations with Shepard in his first game back against a strong Seattle defense, but the volume should be there eventually to make him at least a WR3 option.

Michael Floyd Oct 22 1:00pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Michael Floyd (hamstring) is inactive against the Ravens in Week 7. Floyd hasn't done anything for Minnesota since returning from his injury, and now he's injured. He's not on the fantasy radar. With him out, Laquon Treadwell should see more work in the passing game with Stefon Diggs (groin) out, too. However, Treadwell isn't a viable fantasy starter this weekend.

Andrew Luck Oct 22 1:00pm ET

In discussing whether Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) still has a chance to play in 2017, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reports that Injured Reserve is not in the team's plans. "If healthy, he will play this season", Rapoport tweeted. It would be interesting to know which source within the Colts organization made this statement given their track record of misleading information. Luck owners might want to hold onto this news as a glimmer of hope in what has been a dark and tumultuous ride, but it would be a good idea to consider alternative options if your team doesn't have an injured reserve spot to house him. The fantasy playoffs are fast approaching and depth at skill positions for the upcoming bye weeks should be valued more than one or two late-season starts from Luck.

Bilal Powell Oct 22 1:00pm ET

As expected, both New York Jets running backs Bilal Powell and Matt Forte are active for Week 7's tilt in Miami against the Dolphins. Neither's status was ever really in doubt. Forte has been on the injury report most of the time due to the turf toe ailment that kept him out until Week 6, but he's been practicing. Powell has been practicing in full since mid-week after suffering a calf strain in Week 5 and sitting out Week 6. Neither one of these players, or rookie Elijah McGuire, are worthy fantasy options unless you're in desperate need of a FLEX play. If you are that desperate, however, the traditional thought is that Forte will be a better option in standard leagues, whereas Powell provides a slight advantage in PPR and McGuire is off the fantasy radar. The Jets have continuously confused the fantasy community with the workload split here though, so banking on any of the three for more than the bare minimum points would likely be a mistake.

Adrian Peterson Oct 22 1:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said he would love to see running back Adrian Peterson receive 25 carries per game. At 32 years old, sustaining a pace like that for the rest of the season is unlikely for Peterson, but Arizona traded for him to be their workhorse back, and he saw 26 carries in his explosion in Week 6 against Tampa. Until he starts to break down, Peterson should be a strong RB2 with good volume, especially this weekend with Andre Ellington (quadriceps) ruled out.

Rishard Matthews Oct 22 12:50pm ET

Cleveland Browns cornerback Jason McCourty (ankle) and free safety Jabrill Peppers (toe) are both inactive for Week 7 against the Titans. It's a big blow to a Browns defense, and it's good news for Titans wide receivers Rishard Matthews and Eric Decker.

Jameis Winston Oct 22 12:50pm ET

As expected, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston (shoulder) is active for Week 7 against the Bills. Head coach Dirk Koetter said Winston would play earlier this week, but he's likely to be at less than 100 percent health going up against a strong Buffalo secondary. Winston is in the low-end range of QB1 options, but the fact he's in there is good news for the likes of Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph.

Ibraheim Campbell Oct 22 12:43pm ET

Cleveland Browns SS Ibraheim Campbell and CB Briean Boddy-Calhoun are in the starting lineup against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7 in place of S Jabrill Peppers (toe) and CB Jason McCourty (ankle).

DeMarco Murray Oct 22 12:43pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is active for Week 7's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Marqise Lee Oct 22 12:40pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee (knee) is officially active for Week 7 against the Colts. Lee is still looking for his first touchdown of the season despite coming off a season-high 83 yards in Week 6. In a run-first offense with a shaky quarterback, Lee is no better than a WR4 option Sunday, even in a great matchup with Indy's weak secondary.

Kenny Britt Oct 22 12:40pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Kenny Britt (groin, knee) is active for Week 7 against the Titans. Britt is on thin ice with the club because of his behavior off the field and his lack of production on it. He'll be back after sitting out last week, but even in a good matchup with Tennessee, Britt is an extremely volatile WR4 option.

DeMarco Murray Oct 22 12:40pm ET

Tennessee Titans running back DeMarco Murray (hamstring) and tight end Delanie Walker (calf) will both play on Sunday against Cleveland. Murray has been dealing with the hamstring issue since the summer and has been bothered by it intermittently throughout the season. Walker was a late addition to the injury report but it doesn't appear that injury to his calf is anything to worry about in the long term. Both have favorable matchups against a Browns team that is struggling this season.

Delanie Walker Oct 22 12:33pm ET

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (calf) is active for Week 7's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Andre Ellington Oct 22 12:30pm ET

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington (quadriceps) is inactive for the Week 7 game in London against the Rams. Ellington's PPR shine has quickly wore off with the addition of Adrian Peterson, as he didn't give his fantasy owners a single point in Week 6. With Peterson clearly the lead back now, Ellington's stock is trending downward big time. Peterson is a strong RB2 this weekend with Ellington out of the picture.

Leonard Fournette Oct 22 12:30pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette (ankle) is officially inactive for Week 7 against the Colts. Fournette's ankle injury wasn't believed to be serious, but it looks like the Jags want to be cautious with their stud rookie before a Week 8 bye. Make sure you take him out of all lineups. In his absence, Chris Ivory should dominate the backfield touches and becomes an intriguing RB2 in a good matchup. Scoop him up off the waiver wire if he's available and start him if you're in need of a running back or own Fournette.

Aaron Rodgers Oct 22 12:30pm ET

Doctors have suggested that injured Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers could start throwing again in six weeks. Rodgers just underwent surgery to repair a broken collarbone that he suffered in Week 6 against Minnesota. It had initially been suggested that Rodgers could miss the entire season, but his prognosis since then has been more positive. Rodgers is still not worth rostering as any setbacks would likely prevent him from playing. Additionally, if Green Bay is out of the playoff race they would be unlikely to take Rodgers off of injured reserve. Finally, if Rodgers were reactivated, he would be going up against two good defenses in Weeks 15 and 16 at time when he would likely be playing his way back into game shape. At this point it is not worth using a roster spot on Aaron Rodgers.

Kelvin Benjamin Oct 22 12:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin (knee) will play in Week 7 against Chicago. Benjamin experienced soreness in his surgically repaired knee and was held out of practice during the week as a result. Though he maintained a questionable designation leading up to the matchup, he feels well enough to play. The veteran wideout has 26 receptions on the season, good for 371 yards and a touchdown and could have a good opportunity to put up some fantasy points against a struggling Bears team on Sunday.
