Gerald Everett Sep 21 2:40pm ET
    Gerald Everett

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett isn't much of a fantasy option in a Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Everett has only put up nine fantasy points total through two games, and now he faces a Vikings defense that is fourth against opposing tight ends. Meanwhile, they struggle against wide receivers, so it's a safe bet that the Chargers will run the passing game through Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Everett has some season-long upside as the team adjusts into Kellen Moore's offensive scheme that has always featured strong tight end play, but Week 3 is unlikely to be Everett's first big game of the year. He's a middling TE2 option without much upside.

Evan Hull Sep 21 2:40pm ET
    Evan Hull

Indianapolis Colts rookie running back Evan Hull (knee), who was already placed on Injured Reserve, will now miss the rest of his first NFL season with a torn meniscus. The Colts were impressed with Hull when he was on the field and they still have high hopes for him in the future. The fifth-round selection had just one carry for one yard and caught one pass for a six-yard gain in the season opener over eight offensive snaps. The Colts still have Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on the Physically Unable to Perform list for at least two more games, but they added Trey Sermon to their practice squad earlier this week to give them more RB depth behind Zack Moss, Deon Jackson and Jake Funk. Hull is only worth stashing in deep dynasty/keeper leagues.

Keenan Allen Sep 21 2:30pm ET
    Keenan Allen

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen could have a big week in a Week 3 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Allen is fantasy's overall WR6 after a 27-point performance in Week 2, and he'll get to face a Vikings zone defense that quarterback Justin Herbert should be able to completely pick apart. Allen, his favorite target, should see double digit targets and could be setup for another 100+ yard game with a touchdown included. He's a top-10 fantasy option for this week's matchups.

Aaron Jones Sep 21 2:30pm ET
    Aaron Jones

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (hamstring) is back at practice on Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday and the Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons due to a left-hamstring injury he suffered in the season opener. Jones also missed all of last week with the injury. It's a good sign that the 28-year-old lead back is progressing, but it's still no guarantee he'll be active in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints at home. There's a good chance he'll be listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report, and he might be a true game-time decision. Jones could be on a snap count if he's active this Sunday, and the matchup against the Saints isn't the best. Backup AJ Dillon disappointed in lead-back duties last week in the one-point loss to Atlanta.

Jahmyr Gibbs Sep 21 2:30pm ET
    Jahmyr Gibbs

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has rushed 14 times for 59 yards and caught nine passes on 11 targets for 57 yards in his first two NFL games. His usage is expected to see an uptick as the season progresses, and with David Montgomery (thigh) looking doubtful to play against the Atlanta Falcons, this could be the spot for him to produce a boom performance. The rookie should see the majority of touches if Montgomery is on the shelf, so he would become a virtual must-start option. Craig Reynolds would likely mix in on early downs, though. If Montgomery surprisingly plays, Gibbs will continue to have low-end PPR league flex value.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Williams Sep 21 2:30pm ET
    Mike Williams

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams could have a solid Week 3 performance against the Minnesota Vikings. Williams missed some time in Week 1 with an injury, but he's still put up 20 fantasy points through the first two weeks. Week 3 could be an even bigger week as Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense take on the Vikings zone defense. Keenan Allen is the clear number one in this passing game, but Williams is right behind him and should be the target of more of Herbert's deep balls going forward. Williams is a solid WR2 for this matchup, with some upside.

    From RotoBaller

Joshua Dobbs Sep 21 2:20pm ET
    Joshua Dobbs

The Dallas Cowboys defense should have another excellent game in a Week 3 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cowboys defense has finished as the overall DST1 and DST3 in the two games this season, and there's no reason to believe another top-three finish won't be in place against Joshua Dobbs and the Cardinals offense. The Cowboys have already put up 52 fantasy points on defense, 42 more than the 10 points they've allowed on the field. They're the top DST for Week 3.

    From RotoBaller

Justin Herbert Sep 21 2:20pm ET
    Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has a mouth watering fantasy matchup in a Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Herbert is fantasy's overall QB3 through two weeks, and gets to face a Vikings zone defense that has coughed up fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Herbert has always done well against zone defense and should get plenty of yardage from Keenan Allen and his other pass catchers. It's a top-five ranking for Herbert this week along with a very high floor.

    From RotoBaller

Sam LaPorta Sep 21 2:20pm ET
    Sam LaPorta

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has hauled in 10 of his 11 targets for 102 yards in his first two games as a pro. The Iowa product is the No. 5 tight end in total fantasy points (PPR) through two weeks, so he carries another TE1 outlook into Week 3. Amon-Ra St. Brown (toe) and Josh Reynolds (groin) are banged up this week and turned in limited practices. If one or both of those two wideouts are out for Week 3, LaPorta's ceiling would be even higher. If they both play, he's still becoming a virtual must-start at the always-scarce tight end spot in fantasy football. Start him with confidence against the Atlanta Falcons.

    From RotoBaller

Jaylen Waddle Sep 21 2:20pm ET
    Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol and missed a second straight practice on Thursday. Waddle took a hard hit to the helmet in the Week 2 win over the New England Patriots and is trending toward missing a Week 3 showdown at home against the Denver Broncos. The Dolphins aren't in any rush to clear the third-year pass-catcher either, so fantasy managers should already be making plans to be without him this weekend. All-Pro pass-catcher Tyreek Hill is already a weekly must-start, but he could see even more targets against a Denver defense that just allowed 35 points to the Washington Commanders. If Waddle is inactive this weekend, it will create more opportunities for Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma, as well as tight end Durham Smythe.

    From RotoBaller

Jake Ferguson Sep 21 2:10pm ET
    Jake Ferguson

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has an excellent matchup in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. Ferguson scored a touchdown in Week 2 and finished as the overall TE11, but he only has a 15.9% target share, likely leaving him as a touchdown dependent streaming option at best. Still, the Cardinals defense allowed the most yards to tight ends last season and they've allowed the third most yards to tight ends this year. The matchup doesn't get much better than this for a tight end, but Ferguson is still just a high-end TE2.

    From RotoBaller

Brandon Aubrey Sep 21 2:10pm ET
    Brandon Aubrey

Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey is a strong fantasy option again in a Week 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Aubrey has made all seven of his field goals and only missed one of his six extra point tries through the first two weeks of the season. Playing on a team that has proven the ability to move the ball and score, Aubrey should remain among the top-12 fantasy options at his position most weeks this season.

    From RotoBaller

    Amon-Ra St. Brown Sep 21 2:10pm ET
    Amon-Ra St. Brown

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has racked up 173 yards and a touchdown on 12 receptions so far this season. He is picking up where he left off the last two seasons and continues to be one of the top players in all of fantasy football. Although he did not practice on Wednesday with a toe injury, he is not considered to be at risk of missing the Week 3 contest against the Atlanta Falcons. As long as he's active, he's a must-start in all matchups and has No. 1 overall wide receiver upside. With David Montgomery (thigh) looking doubtful for Week 3, the Lions could opt to pass more in this NFC showdown.

    From RotoBaller

Tony Pollard Sep 21 2:00pm ET
    Tony Pollard

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is a strong fantasy option in Week 3 despite a tough matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Pollard has been the overall RB6 through the first two weeks of the season, but he hasn't done much in terms of breaking tackles (43rd out of 48) or yards after contact (32nd). Still, the volume of his workload and the general effectiveness of the Cowboys offense makes him a good bet to put up RB1 numbers even though the Cardinals defense has been strong against the run this year.

    From RotoBaller

CeeDee Lamb Sep 21 2:00pm ET
    CeeDee Lamb

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will look for another WR1 finish in a Week 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Lamb was the overall WR10 last week, finishing with 20 fantasy points. He has a good matchup this week against a Cardinals defense that has been good against the run but hasn't done much in the secondary. With Brandin Cooks (knee) expected back, Lamb could lose a target or two, but he's still the clear alpha WR1 on a team with a solid offense. He's a top-10 option at the position in Week 3.

    From RotoBaller

Joe Burrow Sep 21 2:00pm ET
    Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) participated in Thursday's practice and was seen wearing a sleeve on his right calf. The 26-year-old strained the calf during training camp in July and missed most of the preseason as a result. So far this season, Burrow has struggled to live up to the expectations placed on him after signing his 5-year, $275 million contract extension just before the Bengals' season started. Through the first two weeks, Burrow has 304 passing yards and has completed 57% of his passes, leading to speculation that the calf injury may be hampering his performance. Burrow is considered day-to-day and is questionable for his Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

    From RotoBaller

David Montgomery Sep 21 1:50pm ET
    David Montgomery

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (quad) missed his second consecutive day of practice on Thursday. The fifth-year veteran was injured in the Lions' Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks, suffering a deep bruise to his thigh on a play in the third quarter. So far, Montgomery has seen the most work out of the backfield, getting 37 rushing attempts to rookie Jahmyr Gibbs' 14. Gibbs could have the breakout fantasy managers drafted him for his Montgomery misses time. The Lions take on the Atlanta Falcons at home in Week 3.

    From RotoBaller

Derrick Henry Sep 21 1:50pm ET
    Derrick Henry

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has rushed 40 times for 143 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 71 yards through two weeks of the 2023 NFL season. His efficiency (3.6 yards per carry) leaves a lot to be desired thus far, but he continues to be a must-start option given his hefty workload. He was limited at practice with a toe injury early in the week heading into the matchup with the Cleveland Browns, but the 29-year-old will likely be given a limited practice schedule all season long. Cleveland looks like it has a fierce defense, but even a relatively healthy Henry must always be locked into fantasy lineups.

    From RotoBaller

Dak Prescott Sep 21 1:50pm ET
    Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has a great on-paper matchup in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. Prescott has put up just 26 fantasy points through the first two weeks, but he's been playing well. Game script in Week 1 limited him to just 13 completions. He's been throwing short passes, ranking low in yards per attempt, average depth of target, and other similar metrics, but with the Cardinals defense coughing up plenty of big plays already this season, we could see Prescott go off in Week 3. There's also the chance that the Cowboys defense dominates again and their offense ends up not needing to do much, so that risk places Prescott in the QB2 conversation, but with QB1 upside.

    From RotoBaller

Jared Goff Sep 21 1:40pm ET
    Jared Goff

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw for 323 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3. When the veteran signal-caller plays at home, he is much more efficient and has big-time upside as a passer. In Week 3, the Lions host the Atlanta Falcons, who gave up three passing scores to Jordan Love last week. With David Montgomery (thigh) likely out of action, Detroit could be more inclined to dial up the passing attempts. Although Goff does not possess rushing upside and is reliant on big passing numbers and touchdowns, he's a solid play at quarterback this week and has a low-end QB1 outlook.
