New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) wasn't expected to do much at all at the team's walkthrough practice on Tuesday, but he's headed in the right direction. "He's really now, I'd say, in the day-to-day category. Feels a lot better today. But we'll kind of take that all the way throughout the week and see how he improves," head coach Brian Daboll said. Barkley suffered a dreaded high-ankle sprain in Week 2 and was forced to sit out on a short week last Thursday in the loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants have an extra day this week with their Week 4 game coming on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks, and they won't release their first injury report until Thursday. The 26-year-old can't be ruled out to return on Monday, but he'll also be extremely risky in starting fantasy lineups.

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant again on Tuesday in the team's walkthrough practice. Jones suffered a left-hamstring injury in the season opener and has now missed back-to-back games, but this was the fourth straight limited practice, giving him a shot to suit up on a short week this Thursday night against the division-rival Detroit Lions. Despite the fact that Jones appears to be making progress, the 28-year-old could very be questionable on Wednesday's final injury report and could be a game-time decision on Thursday. If he makes his return in Week 4, don't be surprised if the Packers limit his snaps and ease him into the backfield. Backup AJ Dillon has totally flopped so far in an expanded role the last two weeks with Jones sidelined.

Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (thigh) was estimated to be limited in practice for a second consecutive day on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Fantasy Spin: Head coach Dan Campbell told the media earlier on Tuesday that he is "starting to feel pretty good about" Montgomery's ability to play on Thursday against the Green Bay Packers. So while fantasy managers should expect him to draw a questionable tag on Wednesday's injury report, they should also expect Montgomery to return to 15-plus touches in one of the best offenses in the league. Consider him a solid RB2 option for Thursday if he plays.

Green Bay Packers S Zayne Anderson (hamstring), OT David Bakhtiari (rest, knee), LB De'Vondre Campbell (ankle) and OG Elgton Jenkins (knee) did not practice Tuesday, Sept. 26. CB Jaire Alexander (back), LB Rashan Gary (knee), RB Aaron Jones (hamstring), OT Zach Tom (knee), DB Carrington Valentine (biceps) and WR Christian Watson (hamstring) were limited.

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) is 'in the day-to-day category,' according to head coach Brian Daboll. Per Daboll, Barkley 'feels a lot better (Tuesday, Sept. 26), but we'll kind of take that all the way throughout the week and see how he improves.'
Fantasy Spin: In other words, fantasy managers should expect Barkley to be questionable at best on Saturday's injury report and a likely game-time decision for Monday's showdown with the Seattle Seahawks. The fact that the game will be played on Monday probably will make Barkley hard to start in most leagues unless managers get a definitive report regarding his playing status Saturday night or Sunday morning. Matt Breida is likely to see the most work if he cannot go again, although he would be a weak flex option.

Free-agent LB Kyle Van Noy (Chargers) reportedly agreed to join the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) will play against the Detroit Lions in Week 4, according to teammate Romeo Doubs.
Fantasy Spin: While teammates do not always serve as the most reliable sources, the fact that Jones was looking good in warmups and on the fence to play in Week 3 probably makes him a good bet for Thursday. The Lions have been stingy versus fantasy running backs to this point, allowing no more than 60 total yards to any player despite facing Kenneth Walker in Week 2 and Bijan Robinson in Week 3. Jones needs to be in lineups if he plays this week, but fantasy managers should temper their expectations at a RB2 level.

New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas (hamstring) missed the team's Week 3 Thursday Night Football loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants' offensive line is already one of the worst units in the NFL, so his absence is disastrous for its overall offense. However, the 2020 No. 4 overall pick said his chances to play in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks are "good". With him in the lineup, Daniel Jones should be at least slightly more protected from the Seattle pass rush on Monday Night Football.

The Baltimore Ravens are signing veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy to its practice squad on Tuesday. Van Noy was selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft and has spent time with the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots (two stints), Miami Dolphins, and Los Angeles Chargers. He has 470 tackles, 33.5 sacks, and three interceptions thus far in his career. While the 32-year-old will start on the practice squad, there's a good chance he'll eventually be added to the active roster as a versatile defensive piece for John Harbaugh's stop unit.

Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (thigh) appears to be on the right track to play in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers, according to comments from head coach Dan Campbell on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Fantasy Spin: The Lions made the prudent move in resting Montgomery in Week 3, especially knowing they had a division game coming up on a short week. While Detroit was able to win without him against the Atlanta Falcons, there is no question Montgomery was missed. While the Packers have been a favorable fantasy matchup for running backs through three games, they have been effective in slowing them down in two of them. Nevertheless, Montgomery remains a solid RB2 option if he plays on Thursday.
From TheHuddle
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) has yet to make his 2023 season debut due to a lingering hamstring issue. The second-year wideout was considered a breakout candidate this offseason, so his return to the Packers' lineup would be great news for fantasy managers who selected him in preseason drafts. When asked if he will play on Thursday Night Football in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, Watson said "That's the plan." Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, but he would immediately have upside if he plays. Quarterback Jordan Love has thrown seven touchdowns to just one interception, and Watson is always a threat to score on a long touchdown. That said, he could be at risk of playing limited snaps.

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (thigh) missed the team's Week 3 contest against the Atlanta Falcons after exiting the Week 2 loss to the Seattle Seahawks with a thigh injury. On Tuesday, head coach Dan Campbell said he is "starting to feel pretty good" about Montgomery's chances to play on Thursday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers this week. He also mentioned left tackle Taylor Decker (ankle) could return. If Montgomery plays and sees a full workload, he's close to a must-start option after seeing 37 carries and scoring two touchdowns in his first two games with the organization. Jahmyr Gibbs' Week 4 value would take a hit as he'd likely be reduced to a complementary role once again. However, there's always a risk Montgomery's touches could be limited, meaning he could be a risky fantasy option to begin the week.

Free agent quarterback Trevor Siemian is visiting the New York Jets on Tuesday. If everything goes well with his physical, he is expected to join the team's practice squad in short order. After Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) was lost for the season in Week 1, Zach Wilson has struggled mightily in his third season as the team's starter. The BYU product has completed under 53% of his passes for 467 yards, two touchdowns, and four interceptions in three games. Tim Boyle is currently listed as his backup, but Siemian, who has 30 games of starting experience, could eventually find himself in the starting quarterback role this season.

Free-agent LB Kyle Van Noy (Chargers) is reportedly meeting with the Baltimore Ravens for a second time this season on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Free-agent QB Trevor Siemian (Bengals) agreed to an undisclosed contract with the New York Jets Tuesday, Sept. 26, pending a physical.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Jamel Dean (shoulder) left Monday night's game in the third quarter due to a shoulder injury and has officially been ruled as questionable to return. Before leaving, he registered three solo tackles. Despite the two interceptions that the Tampa Bay defense has forced, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have been able to pass for over 230 yards so far. Dean is one of the starting corners on this defense which means Christian Izien will be next up to see some opportunities in his absence.
Dynasty | Eagles running back D'Andre Swift had 130 rushing yards in the Eagles easy win against Tampa Bay. Dynasty Analysis: He added one catch for eight yards. It was the second straight big game for Swift, who now has over 300 rushing yards over the past two weeks. Kenneth Gainwell had just two fewer carries (14) than Swift but averaged five fewer yards per carry and looked like the clear #2 back tonight. This is a big development in dynasty leagues as Swift finally looks like a potential RB1 for the first time in 2023.
Las Vegas Raiders DE Chandler Jones wrote in a social media post that he was hospitalized 'against his will' by the Las Vegas Fire Department and later transferred to a behavioral health facility last week.
From TheHuddle
The Miami Dolphins offense averaged 30 points and 462.5 yards of offense per game in two contests on the road to begin the year before their home opener on Sunday against the Denver Broncos in which they put up 70 points and 726 yards of offense. According to NextGen Stats, Dolphins players are now responsible for the five-fastest individual speeds recorded on a given play so far this season, with three by wide receiver Tyreek Hill and one apiece from rookie running back De'Von Achane and RB Raheem Mostert. Achane and Mostert accounted for four touchdowns apiece in the thumping of the Broncos in Week 3, and Achane is going to be the No. 1 waiver priority in fantasy leagues this week.
