Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd (thigh) is questionable to return to the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs after exiting the game in the first half due to a thigh injury.
From TheHuddle
The San Francisco 49ers defensive unit allowed 31 points to the Philadelphia Eagles in a blowout 7-31 NFC Championship Game loss. Dre Greenlaw led the 49ers with nine combined tackles, including two tackles for losses. Fred Warner added eight tackles and one tackle for a loss. Only Arik Armstead was able to come up with a sack, and no Niner forced a fumble or made an interception. As a result, the 49ers DST scored 0 points in the NFL.com standard scoring system.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd (ankle) left the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the first half due to an injury, and he has been back on the field for just one play since suffering the ailment.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould made the only extra point he attempted and did not try any field goals in the Niners' 7-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. After two-straight games making four field goals, this was an extremely disappointing game for Gould starters. The 49ers offense was already in for a tough game, but the going got tougher when quarterback Brock Purdy left the game in the first quarter with an elbow injury. No. 4 quarterback Josh Johnson was then taken out and put in concussion protocol. Purdy returned but was severely hampered. Ultimately, the 49ers only gained 164 yards all game and never got into the red zone.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle caught three passes for 32 yards in the Niners' 7-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. The 29-year-old also took one carry for four yards. The Niners' passing game was impacted by injuries to both quarterbacks Brock Purdy (elbow) and Josh Johnson (concussion protocol). San Francisco only threw the ball 18 times all game, and Purdy only made two passes in the second half after Johnson left the game in the third quarter. Kittle will be one of the top tight ends taken in 2023 fantasy drafts.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle) is questionable to return to the AFC Championship matchup with Cincinnati. Toney entered this contest with five catches for 36 yards, the most on the team this postseason. However, if he doesn't make it back on Sunday, he'll finish with one catch for nine yards. Of course, the Chiefs have plenty of options on the offensive end, so Patrick Mahomes won't be impacted.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk caught just one pass for 10 yards on his only target of the NFC Championship Game, a 7-31 San Francisco loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. As the 49ers' primary deep threat, Aiyuk was hurt by the loss of quarterbacks Brock Purdy (elbow) and Josh Johnson (concussion protocol) to injuries. Purdy would come back in the third quarter, but he was unable to throw well and only attempted two passes, both for only a couple of yards. Aiyuk had his first 1,000-yard season of his career, so he could enter the 2023 fantasy season with momentum.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel caught three passes for 33 yards in the Niners' 7-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. The 27-year-old also lost nine yards on six carries. The 49ers were desperately trying to get anything going after both their quarterbacks got injured. Samuel was used on more rushes than he has in any playoff game this year, but the Eagles were expecting runs. Only three of Samuel's runs went for gains. He also took a fourth quarter kickoff out of the end zone for a 37-yard return, his only kickoff return of the season.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert caught five passes for 23 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game. He was targeted six times during the game.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey carried the ball 15 times for 84 yards and one touchdown in the Niners' 7-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. The 26-year-old added four catches for 22 yards and threw an incomplete pass on a trick play. McCaffrey was the focal point of the Niners' offense to an even greater degree than usual, as quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson both suffered injuries. The 49ers continued running the ball heavily even when they were down by three touchdowns because no quarterback was healthy enough to throw the ball. CMC will be an early first round pick in all league types next season.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles RB Boston Scott rushed for 21 yards and one touchdown on six carries against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle caught three passes for 32 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game. He was targeted four times during the game.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy completed four-of-four passes for 23 yards in the Niners' 7-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. The 23-year-old hurt his elbow while taking a hit that caused him to lose the football on his first drive and forced him to leave the game. He returned in the third quarter when No. 4 QB Josh Johnson was removed and checked for a possible concussion. After his return, Purdy, who was still clearly bothered by his injury, only threw two short passes on three drives. He completed both for four yards. It was impressive what the No. 262 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft was able to do as a rookie, but he did not look the same when he was facing pressure deep in the playoffs the past two weeks.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers QB Josh Johnson (concussion) went 7-for-13 for 74 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game before leaving the game because of a concussion.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game. He also caught four passes for 22 yards during the game.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman (pelvis) is available for the AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old hasn't played since Week 9. However, he had been on a roll before going down, scoring a touchdown in each of his previous three games. Although nearly all of the Chiefs wideouts are healthy, Hardman can get hot, so he warrants consideration as a flex option in DFS tournaments.
From RotoBaller
Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers OB Josh Johnson (concussion) will not return to the NFC Championship game because of a concussion.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (back) will play on Sunday against the Bengals. The veteran had been listed as questionable because of back spasms. However, he's good to go, meaning Patrick Mahomes will have his favorite target for the AFC Championship. Despite the risk of re-injury, Kelce is a must-start in DFS formats.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (back) is officially active for the AFC Championship game.
Fantasy Spin: Kelce has been bothered by the injury over the last few days but should see plenty of targets against the Cincinnati Bengals. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
The Kansas City Chiefs have declared DL Malik Herring, DE Joshua Kaindoh, TE Blake Bell, QB Shane Buechele, WR Justin Watson, WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette and OG Darian Kinnard inactive for Conference Championships.
