2020 RTSports Outlook

Hill was the No. 3 back for the Ravens most of his rookie year, getting double-digit carries just once all year (last game of the season). He had 240 total yards and two touchdowns on the season. Hill is likely stuck on the depth chart at No. 3 for the Ravens with the team taking J.K. Dobbins in this year's draft. Hill is a speed back. He can make a lot of plays on the outside and get down the field in a hurry. Hill needs work running on the inside, though, and tends to try to make the big play too often. He will need to show more consistency if he hopes to move up the depth chart.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Hill will get some weekly chances in a run-first offense, but will be hit or miss for fantasy teams. He won't be a consistent fantasy producer. Look for around 400 total yards.

RotoBaller's Outlook

With the addition of Mark Ingram to a running backs room which already had Kenneth Dixon and Gus Edwards, being drafted in Baltimore doesnt at first look too appealing for Justice Hilladmirers. Despite this, he could just flourish with the Ravens this season.Edwards was fine last season and he got the job done for a while. However, he was also an undrafted free agent who was only getting work because he was the next man up. After Lamar Jackson came in at quarterback the Edwards experiment petered out. That was despite the Ravens running the ball 101 more times and for 600 more yards than any team in the NFL after his insertion into the lineup. Kenneth Dixon is solid, but he cannot seem to stay healthy and if Alex Collins had not been released for off-field reasons this offseason it may have been Dixon who went.Mark Ingram is a good running back. When he Is in a committee with someone else. He is a great compliment to a smaller back like he was in New Orleans with Alvin Kamara. At 510 and 200 pounds, Hill is the type of player Ingram will work well with as both will have a role and know what it is.Coming from playing at Oklahoma State, a high flying offense the perception is Hill was not a good back. Oklahoma State though uses their backs quite frequently as shown in the numbers for Hill in 2018. He averaged 15.8 rushes per game in his final season and also caught 13 passes. These numbers are solid for only 10 games played. In his true breakout season of 2017, he rushed 268 times for 1,467 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also managed 31 receptions in those 13 games. We are not expecting these numbers to directly translate to the NFL, but it does show his ability and why the Ravens drafted him. Hill gives them the perfect lightning to the thunder of Ingram. Are the two backs going to finish number four and six in fantasy like Kamara and Ingram did in 2017? No, but no one expects them to either. In drafts, Mark Ingram is still the one to own. But by mid-season Justice Hill could also be a weekly winner for you. He is worth a draft pick in the 10th round area and if you need to reach a round higher then that is fine. He is not a handcuff and will have value no matter how Ingram performs. This is the type of player you want to take as a late-round flier, as he can create his own success. He does not have to wait for an injury to occur before having value. Therefore, go get him and be patient. If an injury does occur? Well, then he could end up being a top 20 back for you.

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill was once rumored to be the favorite to take over on the team's depth chart after the eventual departure of Mark Ingram II. However, with the organization selecting J.K. Dobbins out of Ohio State in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Hill's value, at least from a fantasy perspective, isn't as high. Though the 22-year-old was a factor in the Raven's record-break rushing season in 2019, he could find himself off more fantasy rosters than on this upcoming season, primarily with the team needing to divide up ground attempts for Ingram, Dobbins, Lamar Jackson, and Gus Edwards throughout the year.

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill played sparingly during his rookie season last year. Hill finished the year with just 66 touches after getting stuck behind Mark Ingram II and Gus Edwards. The Ravens added to their crowded running back room in the 2020 NFL draft when they used a second-round pick on J.K. Dobbins. That leaves an unclear role for Hill in 2020. Head coach John Harbaugh is still high on Hill, however, stating that he expects the sophomore runner to make a big jump. He also went on to tell reporters that there is a role for all four runners in Baltimore. Hill remains a deep dynasty stash but he may not be fantasy relevant until 2021 when Ingram is presumably out of the picture.
