Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Shuster ranked third in the NFL, and second among wide receivers, in 2019 with his average of 5.9 yards per contact per reception.

Fantasy Spin: JJSS was infamously one of fantasy's biggest busts of 2019, totaling only 73.2 fantasy points (standard scoring) in 12 games. But don't forget his injury issues or the Steelers' myriad QB issues with Ben Roethlisberger going down for the year in Week 2. Smith-Shuster is a mid-round draft value with WR1 bounce-back potential.

From TheHuddle

Feb 23 9:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster had eight catches on 11 targets in the six quarters he played with QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) in 2019, and Brooke Pryor of ESPN believes Smith-Schuster needs another 'reliable offensive weapon' to be at his best.

Fantasy Spin: While Smith-Schuster's numbers would have been better with a healthy Roethlisberger under center, we still don't know if he can replicate his monster 2018 numbers as the go-to option of the passing attack.

Dec 29 7:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Devlin Hodges completed 9-of-25 passes for just 95 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens, as the loss eliminated the team from the playoffs. RB Benny Snell Jr. rushed 18 times for a team-high 91 yards and a touchdown. WR Diontae Johnson led the team with four grabs for a team-high 54 yards on seven targets, while WR JuJu Smith-Schuster was limited to two grabs for six yards in the finale. TE Vance McDonald also chipped in with two snags for 19 yards on his two targets.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 2:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster draws a tough card in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens. The USC product returned to action last Sunday after missing four games with a concussion and lingering knee issue. However, he proceeded to catch just two passes for 22 yards in a bad loss to the Jets. While the Ravens are expected to rest most of their starters in a meaningless game, having Devlin Hodges throw to him didn't prove too fruitful in Week 16. However, given the potential to be playing against the Ravens' second string, Smith-Schuster can be considered a WR3 with minimal scoring upside.

Dec 22 4:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Juju Smith-Schuster ended up with two grabs for 22 yards on four targets in Week 16 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster was a little rusty, which is never good in Week 16 when most fantasy championships are decided. The best thing that happened in this game, and lately, is that Diontae Johnson has stepped up as a secondary option, something Smith-Schuster has needed. That's promising heading into 2020.

From TheHuddle

Dec 22 4:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster caught half of his four targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Jets. Smith-Schuster dropped his first target, while also having a pass go right through his hands on the team's last play. It was a disappointing effort when the team needed him the most; however, with Devlin Hodges and Mason Rudolph taking turns running the offense, it was hard for anyone to get into a rhythm. The Steelers are hanging onto playoff hopes by a thread, but Smith-Schuster will have his hands full next week against the Baltimore Ravens secondary.

Dec 20 2:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), CB Artie Burns (illness), LB Mark Barron (non-injury), C Maurkice Pouncey (non-injury), OG David DeCastro (non-injury), OT Alejandro Villanueva (non-injury), TE Vance McDonald (concussion), LB T.J. Watt (non-injury), CB Joe Haden (foot), TE Nick Vannett (illness) and OG Ramon Foster (non-injury) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 20, and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 2:33pm ET

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) does not appear on the team's Week 16 injury report, but his status for Week 16 still remains uncertain.

Fantasy Spin: Despite practicing in full Thursday and Friday, Smith-Schuster still sounds uncertain about his knee, and it looks as if it will boil down to a pre-game decision Sunday. If he plays, he's a WR3/flex consideration against the host Jets.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 2:00pm ET

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) wasn't listed on the final injury report for Week 16 against the Jets. Smith-Schuster admitted that his knee still isn't 100 percent, so that's definitely not a ringing endorsement for fantasy owners to use him as a shaky WR3 with fantasy titles on the line. The matchup is as good as it gets, but quarterback Devlin Hodges doesn't inspire confidence, and Smith-Schuster could have his snaps limited since he's been out since Nov. 14. James Washington and Diontae Johnson need to be downgraded with Smith-Schuster returning this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 1:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) said he still isn't 100 percent and is unsure if he'll play in Week 16 against the Jets. However, he did practice in full the last two days. Expect Smith-Schuster to receive a questionable tag, although he looks to be much closer to returning to action for the first time since Nov. 14. Even in an excellent matchup against the Jets, Smith-Schuster would be an extremely risky WR3 for fantasy owners in the fantasy finals. Because of his extended absence, the Steelers could choose to limit his snaps if he's active. If he misses yet another game, James Washington and Diontae Johnson would remain the primary receivers in this low-ceiling offense led by quarterback Devlin Hodges.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 1:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was a full participant in practice Friday, Dec. 20, but said that his knee isn't 100 percent and is still unsure if he'll return and play in Week 16 on Sunday, Dec. 22.

Fantasy Spin: The encouraging sign is that Smith-Schuster fully participated in practice a second straight day, but his statements are painting a different picture of where he's at in his recovery from a knee issue that has kept him out since Week 11. See if there's any more light shed on the situation later Friday with the team's official Week 16 injury report, but it might wind up boiling down to a pre-game decision Sunday for JJSS fantasy owners.

From TheHuddle

Dec 19 3:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) got in a full practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. The Steelers ultimately played it safe with Smith-Schuster last week and held him out, but he looks to be on track to play in Week 16 against the Jets. The team's No. 1 receiver hasn't played since Nov. 14 against the Browns, which makes him a very shaky WR3 if he's active this weekend in what is a great matchup. With Devlin Hodges at quarterback, though, Smith-Schuster's upside would be limited, and he could also have his snaps held back. James Washington and Diontae Johnson would see fewer looks if Smith-Schuster returns.

From RotoBaller

Dec 19 3:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) took part in the full practice Thursday, Dec. 19.

Fantasy Spin: It's unclear if this means Smith-Schuster will be good to go for Week 16 against the New York Jets quite yet, but it's obviously a good sign. His return would obviously mean fewer targets for James Washington and Diontae Johnson in what is already a limited passing attack. If fantasy owners made it this far without Smith-Schuster, there's a good chance they have a better option than him as a WR3/flex option this week.

From TheHuddle

Dec 18 4:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster may be a game-time decision this week, so fantasy players will need to keep an eye on his status during the week. He could be a No. 3 receiver or flex option if he is active for the game.

From TheHuddle

Dec 18 4:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Smith-Schuster hasn't played since Nov. 14 against the Browns and is likely to be questionable for Week 16 against the Jets. The matchup is a very nice one if he returns this weekend, but fantasy owners are best off ignoring the 2019 bust if he return, especially with Devlin Hodges under center for Pittsburgh. James Washington and Diontae Johnson will remain the team's top two wideouts if Smith-Schuster remains sidelined for another week. We might not have a clear picture on his availability until later this week.

From RotoBaller

Dec 17 12:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) will remain questionable for Week 16, but head coach Mike Tomlin says he feels better about him.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster would return to a midrange matchup, and the Steelers have remained in the hunt despite injuries all over the offense. Smith-Schuster would be a WR3 if he can make it back.

From TheHuddle

Dec 15 7:03pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers have declared CB Artie Burns, QB Paxton Lynch, DL Isaiah Buggs, LB Tuzar Skipper, TE Vance McDonald, OT Chukwuma Okorafor and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster inactive for Week 15.

From TheHuddle

Dec 15 5:40am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) won't play against the Bills on Sunday night. Schuster practiced in full on Wednesday, but after aggravating the injury on Thursday, he will now miss another one as the Steelers look to remain playoff relevant. In his absence, Diontae Johnson will likely get the most catches for those in PPR formats, with James Washingtonserving as the biggest threat on deep routes in Week 15.

From RotoBaller

Dec 13 4:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and has been ruled out for Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster aggravated his injury earlier in the week and will miss at least one more game. James Washington and Diontae Johnson will continue to be the main options in the passing game. Washington can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues, while Johnson could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 13 2:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and TE Vance McDonald (concussion) did not practice Friday, Dec. 13, and have been ruled out for Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills. RB James Conner (shoulder) practiced in full all week and is listed as questionable. RB Jaylen Samuels (groin), OT Alejandro Villanueva (non-injury), OG David DeCastro (non-injury), LB Mark Barron (non-injury), OG Ramon Foster (non-injury), WR Johnny Holton (illness) and C Maurkice Pouncey (non-injury) were full participants at practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.
