Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson has been targeted 20 yards or more downfield 31 percent of the time in his career - tied for the second-highest mark in the league since 2015.

From TheHuddle

Apr 3 1:53pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson said Friday, April 3, that the Panthers' signing of QB Teddy Bridgewater, a close friend, was the 'icing on the cake' that convinced him to sign with Carolina.

Fantasy Spin: Anderson joins a crowded offense in Carolina that already features heavily-used RB Christian McCaffrey and WRs D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel. Value him as a low-end WR3.

Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Robby Anderson (Panthers) officially signed with the Carolina Panthers Wednesday, April 1. Official terms of the contract were not disclosed.

From TheHuddle

Mar 24 3:50pm ET

The Carolina Panthers agreed to a two-year, $20 million deal with former New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson on Tuesday. Anderson will receive $12 million in the first year of the deal and will be a free agent again at 29 years old. He'll be reuniting with his old college coach Matt Rhule, who is the Panthers head coach. The Jets were interested in bringing Anderson back as their No. 1 wideout, but he'll head to Carolina instead, where he'll join D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel in three-wide sets. It's another receiving weapon for new quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is taking over for Cam Newton. Anderson's arrival is bad news for both Moore and Samuel, and Anderson may still struggle to post his first 1,000-yard of his career. The 26-year-old had 52 catches for 779 yards (15.0 yards per catch) and five touchdowns in 2019. He'll be a WR4/5 target with upside for more if he becomes a focal point in Carolina's offense.

Free-agent WR Robby Anderson (Jets) is signing a two-year deal worth $20 million with the Carolina Panthers Tuesday, March 24, according to a source. Anderson will earn $12 million in the first year of the deal.

Fantasy Spin: The signing comes in the aftermath of the Panthers releasing QB Cam Newton. Anderson, who caught 52 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns with the Jets last season, will compete with D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel for targets in Carolina. QB Teddy Bridgewater isn't a great downfield passer and may struggle to take advantage of Anderson's skill set. The fifth-year receiver will be a WR4/5 option late in drafts.

It was anticipated that free-agent wide receiver Robby Anderson would receive plenty of attention on the open market as the No. 2 available wideout behind Amari Cooper, who quickly re-signed with the Cowboys. However, free agency hasn't gone as expected for Anderson and he's still available without anyone showing interest in him four days into free agency. The New York Jets remain without a No. 1 receiver and Anderson has worked with quarterback Sam Darnold for two years and knows head coach Adam Gase's system. With his price dropping, the Jets could get Anderson to return at a price they're comfortable with. The 26-year-old has never had a 1,000-yard season and was a disappointment in his second year with Darnold in 2019. If he returns to New York, Anderson will be more of a WR4/flex for fantasy owners.

New York Jets impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson could be a target for the Carolina Panthers, according to Rich Cimini of

Fantasy Spin: There's uncertainty surrounding the quarterback situation in Carolina, but no matter where Anderson ends up, his ceiling is probably that of a big play-dependent WR3.

From TheHuddle

Mar 11 3:13pm ET

New York Jets impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson is not expected to receive much interest from the Denver Broncos this offseason, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: Anderson wants to return to the Jets but will receive interest from multiple teams if he hits the free-agent market. He probably will be able to find a starting job this offseason and could be a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Mar 10 4:20pm ET

New York Jets impending free-agent wide receiver Robby Anderson said on NFL Live that he would like to re-sign with the team. "l think they definitely want me back," Anderson said. "I truly do want to be back with the Jets. I love Sam (Darnold). I love my teammates, Jamal (Adams) and all those guys. I feel like there's unfinished business there that I've been trying to get done since I got there." Despite not having a 1,000-yard season in his four years in the NFL, the 26-year-old will have a robust market as one of the top free-agent wideouts available. So if the Jets really are interested in bringing him back as their top receiver, they'll have to spend. Anderson was an inconsistent WR4/flex option for fantasy owners in 2019, and his fantasy value could rise with a move out of New York.

From RotoBaller

Mar 10 3:33pm ET

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson said Tuesday, March 10, he and the team have a mutual interest in striking a long-term deal.

Fantasy Spin: Anderson has suffered during QB Sam Darnold's injury absences, but he has totaled at least 750 receiving yards each of the past three seasons with a total of 18 touchdown grabs. Anderson and Darnold having more time to work together could certainly help the fantasy appeal of both.

From TheHuddle

Mar 5 10:40pm ET

The New York Jets are making an effort to re-sign wide receiver Robby Anderson, according to a source. It was widely believed that Anderson would be too pricey for the Jets to retain, as he'll be one of the top receivers on the open market. But it looks like Gang Green might be having second thoughts. The 26-year-old was mostly a disappointment with 52 catches for 779 yards and five touchdowns over a full season in 2016, and he's yet to top 1,000 yards receiving in any of his four seasons in the NFL. Another full year with quarterback Sam Darnold would likely yield better results, but Anderson has mostly been a low-ceiling WR4/flex for fantasy owners. It remains to be seen if he can bust out of that mold if he goes elsewhere.

From RotoBaller

Mar 5 5:13pm ET

New York Jets impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson remains in the team's offseason plans, as the Jets are making efforts to re-sign him, according to a source Thursday, March 5.

Fantasy Spin: Anderson played in all 16 games last season with 15 starts, but he struggled during QB Sam Darnold's injury/illness absences. He finished the season with 52 receptions, 779 yards and five touchdowns, and can be a solid WR3 whenever Darnold is under center.

From TheHuddle

Feb 27 12:13am ET

Impending free-agent WR Robby Anderson (Jets) may end up signing a contract that pays him up to $15 million per season based on market trends and the number of expected bidders, according to Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline. However, the New York Jets are still expected to make a push to keep him from going elsewhere, per Pauline.

From TheHuddle

Feb 20 10:53pm ET

New York Jets impending free-agent Robby Anderson's next contract is likely to come in north of $10 million, according to an AFC personnel evaluator. 'It's real simple,' the evaluator said. 'He's fast and has size. Any team that wants speed at receiver will pay him well.'

Fantasy Spin: Anderson has big-play speed to stretch the field, but his role as a deep threat lends itself to hit-and-miss fantasy production. He will likely be a WR3 candidate wherever he lands.

From TheHuddle

Feb 15 11:00pm ET

The New York Jets are highly unlikely to re-sign impending free-agent wide receiver Robby Anderson, according to league sources. Anderson is expected to receiver $13 to $15 million annually on a multi-year deal on the open market, but Gang Green would like to sign him for just $10 million annually. Because the 26-year-old will be one of the better receivers on the open market, his price will be driven up despite the fact that he had just 779 yards on 52 catches for five touchdowns. Anderson also has yet to produce a 1,000-yard season in four years in the NFL, but he will get paid, and it's unlikely to come from the Jets. The Temple alum could be a fantasy sleeper if he lands in the right situation next month.

From RotoBaller

Feb 15 9:53pm ET

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson is 'highly unlikely' to return to the team in 2020, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic.

Fantasy Spin: Even if Anderson lands in a high-powered passing attack, he is unlikely to be more than a deep threat for the offense and a boom-or-bust flex option for fantasy owners.

From TheHuddle

Feb 15 9:53pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent WR Breshad Perriman could be a target for the New York Jets if WR Robby Anderson doesn't return in 2020, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic.

From TheHuddle

Feb 13 12:53pm ET

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson, a pending free agent this offseason, ranks fourth in the league with 112 targets of 20-plus yards since 2016, but the Jets' quarterbacks have been unable to take advantage of that with a 28.3 percent accuracy rate on such passes during that time span, ranking 31st in the league.

Fantasy Spin: Anderson's best season came in 2017 when he caught 63 of 114 targets for 941 yards and seven TDs -- all career highs. We'll see where Anderson lands this offseason, and chances are if it's not the Jets, he might be primed for a bounce-back season.
