Minnesota Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell is expected to be more involved in the passing game under offensive advisor Gary Kubiak, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.
Fantasy Spin: Treadwell has posted only 517 yards and one touchdown since entering the league, but the team may be looking for a No. 3 receiver. Owners can monitor the situation over the offseason to see if he will see more targets in 2019.
Minnesota Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell averaged 5.7 yards per target last year, the fourth-worst mark among receivers with at least 50 targets, and Bill Barnwell of ESPN.com expects Treadwell's fifth-year option to be declined.
Fantasy Spin: The former first-round pick has been a bust, and he didn't show any signs of righting the ship despite a bigger role in 2018. Even in dynasty formats, it may be time to give up on Treadwell.
The Minnesota Vikings have declared WR Laquon Treadwell, CB Craig James, DE Tashawn Bower, OG Danny Isidora, RB Mike Boone, LB Eric Kendricks and QB Kyle Sloter inactive for Week 16.
Minnesota Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell will start the team's Week 9 game Sunday, Nov. 4, in place of the injured Stefon Diggs (ribs).
Fantasy Spin: Treadwell is averaging 4.6 targets per game this season, but this will be the first time that either Diggs and fellow target monster Adam Thielen -- who are averaging a combined 22.6 targets per contest -- has missed a game. So expect Treadwell to get a few more looks, but expect Diggs' target share to be spread around amongst several players, leaving Treadwell as more of a dart-throw flex play.
Minnesota Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell was fined $13,369 for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in Week 8.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has caught 10 of the 11 balls that have come his way since Week 5. After an early-season bout with drops, he has solidified himself as the WR3 on the depth chart. The Vikings passing offense has a fantastic matchup in Week 8 against a New Orleans Saints defense that has given up the most fantasy points to wide receivers. Treadwell has an opportunity to get involved as the game is poised to be a shootout. With the Saints keying in on Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, Treadwell may be able to exploit a weak secondary. He is a viable option in the deepest leagues this week.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell snagged four catches for 38 yards in a 27-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The 23-year-old has been quiet to start the season as he tries to carve out a role as the WR3. He caught all four targets that were thrown his way in Week 6, but he remains ineffective for fantasy purposes. There is a bevy of playmakers ahead of Treadwell on the depth chart which makes him a fantasy asset to avoid.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell had yet another nondescript fantasy day on Sunday in the Minnesota Vikings 23-21 road win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Treadwell hauled in 3-of-4 targets for just 21 yards while seeing 30-of-62 (48%) offensive snaps. Fellow receivers Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs commanded 10 and 11 targets, respectively, and will continue to see the majority of targets moving forward as they've been among the best WR-duo's in the NFL. While he has been the Vikings preferred option in three-wide sets this season, Treadwell's lack of involvement in the offense make him a player best left on the waiver wire until further notice.
Minnesota Vikings DE Tashawn Bower (ankle), DE Everson Griffen (knee, non-injury) and CB Trae Waynes (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and have been ruled out for Week 5. CB Marcus Sherels (ribs) was limited during practice but has been ruled out. S Anthony Harris (hamstring), DT Tom Johnson (ankle), DT Linval Joseph (shoulder), LB Eric Kendricks (elbow), LS Kevin McDermott (finger), OT Riley Reiff (foot) and WR Laquon Treadwell (finger) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.
Minnesota Vikings CB Trae Waynes (concussion), DE Everson Griffen (non-injury, knee) and DE Tashawn Bower (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 4. CB Marcus Sherels (ribs) was limited during practice. DT Linval Joseph (shoulder), LS Kevin McDermott (finger), LB Eric Kendricks (elbow), WR Laquon Treadwell (finger), DT Tom Johnson (ankle), OT Riley Reiff (foot) and S Anthony Harris (hamstring) fully participated in practice.
Minnesota Vikings CB Trae Waynes (concussion) and DE Everson Griffen (knee, non-injury related) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 3. DE Tashawn Bower (ankle), CB Marcus Sherels (ribs) and DT Linval Joseph (shoulder) were limited. LS Kevin McDermott (finger), LB Eric Kendricks (elbow), WR Laquon Treadwell (finger), DT Tom Johnson (ankle), OT Riley Reiff (foot) and S Anthony Harris (hamstring) participated fully.
Minnesota Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell was targeted seven times against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. He caught four of them for 47 yards.
Fantasy Spin: Despite some high-profile miscues that were called out by Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, Treadwell continues to see snaps and, more importantly, targets from Kirk Cousins -- only Stefan Diggs (15) and Adam Thielen (12) were targeted more often than Treadwell among Cousins' 50 attempts. Treadwell's value is nil as long as Diggs and Thielen are around, but he's not a bad name to add to your watch list in the event one of them goes down.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell caught four passes for 33 yards in a 27-6 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Treadwell has been a non-factor in fantasy terms so far this season. He has to fight for targets behind Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph, and Dalvin Cook (when healthy). He is a TD-or-bust receiver that will likely bust more often than not. He can be avoided in all formats.
