2019 RTSports Outlook

Crabtree did not have the first season as expected with the Ravens, catching 54 passes for 607 yards and three scores. He did not hit the 100-yard mark in any game and had more than 50 yards just five times. Crabtree was released by the Ravens this offseason and hopes to earn a roster spot for the coming season. Crabtree has fewer than 620 yards two straight seasons. Crabtree is a pretty polished receiver at this stage of his career but seems to be slowing down. He will be 32 years old before the start of the year. Crabtree has plus hands, runs solid routes and is a playmaker. He doesn't have elite speed, but enough to get the job done. Fantasy Outlook: Crabtree is not likely to rebound after two straight subpar seasons. He is likely to be a touch-down dependent player going forward. He might get 40 receptions for 500 yards with a few scores.

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree's release was made official Monday, Feb. 25, saving the Ravens $4.6 million in salary cap space.

Fantasy Spin: Crabtree is over the hill, before the 2018 season he stringed together seasons with nine, eight and eight touchdowns in succession. He'll land somewhere, but he can't be seen as more than a WR4.

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Crabtree is expected to be released Monday, Feb. 25.

Fantasy Spin: By the time he was able to rectify those issues, the Ravens made the change from Joe Flacco to Lamar Jackson and became the most run-heavy team in the league. Crabtree should not struggle to find work on the open market as a complementary wideout, but he should no longer be considered a primary option. Depending on his next landing spot, the 31-year-old may have enough left to be considered a touchdown-dependent WR3 in fantasy. Baltimore figures to be targeting receivers heavily again this offseason.
