Gordon landed with the Patriots last year and seemed on his way to great things but had an-other hiccup off the field. He is suspended indefinitely. He could be reinstated before the season, during the season or after the season. It really isn't known at this point. He just needs to get himself clean and stay clean, which is easier said than done for Gordon, who has battled substance abuse since entering the league. The positive for Gordon was he played well with the Patriots, having 40 receptions for 720 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. Gordon had two 100-yard games and at least four receptions seven games. The Patriots already resigned Gordon, so if he plays again, it will be with the Patriots. Gordon is a very talented player. He is a matchup nightmare for defenses because of his combination of size and speed.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Gordon is obviously a huge risk. He has a high ceiling if playing, though. He can post big numbers in this offense but you just never know what will happen with Gordon. He might be the biggest question mark in the draft. It all comes down to price tag for Gordon. If you can get him at a good price, he is worth the risk. If not, don't bother.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posted a video on his Instagram of him throwing to suspended wide receiver Josh Gordon. He has been suspended indefinitely by the league for multiple violations of the substance-abuse policy, but there is a "chance" that Gordon could be reinstated by training camp next month. This is further proof that the Patriots think Gordon will become eligible to play at some point in 2019. With New England's lack of receiver depth, they really hope he's available to them eventually. If active, Gordon is a fantasy relevant receiver with big upside after he caught 40 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games for the Pats in his first season with them last year.
New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon, who is on the Reserve/Commissioner Suspended list, posted a video of him working out with Patriots QB Tom Brady Wednesday, June 19.
Fantasy Spin: There has been speculation that Gordon could be reinstated again, and he's still such a tease of a fantasy asset. Keep tabs on his situation.
New England Patriots restricted free-agent wide receiver Josh Gordon signed his $2.025 million tender on Tuesday. Gordon is on an indefinite suspension for his latest violation of the league's substance-abuse policy, but he'll be back with New England if he is reinstated at some point. The star-crossed 28-year-old played in just 11 games for the Pats last year, catching 40 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns. New England could surely use the receiver help if Gordon is somehow reinstated before the start of the season. He'll be worth a late-round flier in most leagues this fall for his upside.
Restricted free-agent WR Josh Gordon signed his one-year tender with the New England Patriots worth $2.025 million on Tuesday, April 23.
New England Patriots restricted free-agent WR Josh Gordon received an original-round tender Tuesday, March 12. If he's reinstated, he'll have a one-year, $2.025 million contract.
New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon has reportedly been training with Olympic gold medalist Tim Montgomery since the NFL suspended him indefinitely in December of 2018, according to multiple sources.
New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon could be reinstated by the NFL around the time training camp starts if he stays in contact with his doctors and continues his treatment, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Spin: Owners will need to monitor the situation to see if Gordon suffers any setbacks this offseason. He is a very good player when he is on the field but is a risky fantasy option because of his off-field issues. He could be a late-round option if he is reinstated but may not be a reliable starting option.
New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon is doing better while in rehab for substance abuse and he could be reinstated and return to the team by training camp this summer. Gordon was suspended indefinitely for another violation of the league's substance-abuse policy. He had 40 receptions for 720 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games for the Patriots before the suspension. Gordon will turn 28 in April and still has plenty of upside, but his off-field issues make him a huge fantasy risk. If on the field for the Pats in 2019, Gordon would have WR2 upside, especially with Chris Hogan set to be a free agent.
Former New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon, who remains indefinitely suspended by the NFL for repeated violations of the substance abuse policy, will spend Super Bowl LIII in an in-patient treatment facility in Gainesville, Fla. There is no exit date yet for when Gordon will leave rehab, but the hope is that it's relatively soon.
Fantasy Spin: Even though Gordon still will only be 28 this April, he won't be able to pick up and resume his career any time soon with his league suspension. And at the moment, it's hard to imagine him being able to make it back anywhere else if he couldn't in a near-ideal situation in New England.
New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon, who was suspended indefinitely for more failed diluted drug-test samples, is currently receiving treatment at an inpatient facility in Florida, according to a source with knowledge of Gordon's situation. The Patriots are paying for Gordon's treatment and a return to New England is still possible. The talented yet controversial receiver caught 40 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games for the Pats in 2018. He has WR2 upside when healthy in New England, but he's been suspended multiple times by the NFL for violating the substance-abuse policy and it's anyone's guess when he might be reinstated. Gordon will probably continue to be a late-round flier solely because of his upside.
New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon remains at an inpatient drug treatment facility, according to a source. The Patriots are paying for Gordon's treatment while the NFL's Players Association is working with Gordon to help treat his addiction. Gordon is serving an indefinite suspension for diluted drug test samples - a violation of his reinstatement.
Fantasy Spin: It remains to be seen if Gordon will ever play in the NFL again. He will turn 28 years old this offseason and has ostensibly exhausted his opportunities. As of now, he's not worth selecting in redraft leagues.
