Mostert was finally getting some chances on the field but broke his arm Week 9, ending his season early. He looked pretty good before getting hurt, though. He averaged 7.7 yards per carry and topped 80-rushing yards twice despite having double-digit carries just once all season. He made some big plays with his chances. Mostert will compete for the No. 3 or 4 running back spot this year. Mostert had never topped 30-rushing yards in a season before last year. He doesn't have great size for the position and lacks a little thump, but has good speed and moves in space. He also needs to improve as a receiver, failing to have a catch until last season.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Mostert was a huge surprise last year after doing next to nothing his first three seasons in the league. He might not get as much work this year, though, having a lot to compete with for touches. He could get around 300 total yards.

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert is expected to be one of three running backs active during the regular season since he is the team's best special-teams player.
Fantasy Spin: Mostert has shown in the past that he can be effective running the ball, but that's unlikely to be his role in 2019 with the likes of Tevin Coleman, Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida creating a logjam in the backfield. He has minimal fantasy appeal as long as everyone is healthy and ready to play.
San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert (forearm) needed to have another surgery to fix his broken forearm and will be out for another month. It adds injury to insult, as Mostert is behind Matt Breida, Tevin Coleman, Jerick McKinnon and Jeffery Wilson on the team's crowded backfield depth chart. It'll take several injuries ahead of him for Mostert to gain any real playing time in 2019. He received only 34 carries for 261 yards (7.7 average) and one touchdown in nine games for San Fran in 2018.
San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (arm) needed a 're-set' after the fracture in his surgically repaired arm wasn't healing properly. The latest adjustment has reportedly added a month to his timetable to return.
San Francisco 49ers RBs Tevin Coleman Jerick McKinnon, Matt Breida, Jeffery Wilson and Raheem Mostert will ultimately decide who plays and how much each one plays, according to comments made by head coach Kyle Shanahan on the Adam Schefter podcast recently. 'Everyone keeps asking me that like I'm in charge of that or something,' Shanahan said with a laugh. 'It's up to the players. They will define their roles. That's kind of what's unique about this.'
Fantasy Spin: The common assumption since Coleman signed in March was that he would probably handle more carries than anyone else in this backfield in 2019, but it could easily be argued Breida was more impressive in 2018 than Coleman was at any point during his time with Shanahan in Atlanta. It is shaping up to be an unpredictable backfield, although McKinnon's role as the pass-catching back - assuming he is recovered from his ACL injury - would seem to be the most secure.
The San Francisco 49ers agreed to terms on a three-year, $8.7 million deal with running back Raheem Mostert on Saturday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal will include $3 million guaranteed. Mostert spent the last two years with San Fran, compiling 40 rushing attempts, 291 yards and a touchdown in 20 games. He'll be buried on the depth chart behind Jerick McKinnon, Matt Breida and newly-signed Tevin Coleman, so Mostert is unlikely to have any fantasy value.
San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman is expected to lead what could be a group of four active running backs on game days this season. Coleman and fellow RBs Jerick McKinnon, Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert would comprise the foursome.
Fantasy Spin: It's an admirable group, but this could be a nuisance for fantasy purposes. Coleman is the running back to own in San Francisco, but McKinnon and company really limit his ceiling. Both Coleman and McKinnon still possess PPR RB2 upside.
Free-agent RB Raheem Mostert re-signed with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, March 15, agreeing to a three-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers restricted free-agent RB Raheem Mostert received the original-round tender offer, according to a source.
San Francisco 49ers restricted free-agent RB Raheem Mostert received a tender offer Thursday, March 7.
San Francisco 49ers restricted free-agent RB Raheem Mostert likely will receive a tender offer this offseason and could even receive a multi-year extension from the team.
