2019 RTSports Outlook

Boyd had a breakout season, winning a starting job and posting career-best numbers across the board. He was even the No. 1 receiver many weeks because of an injury to A.J. Green. Boyd had his first 1,000-yard season, finishing 17th overall in fantasy receiver scoring. Boyd had three 100-yard games. He even missed the last two games of the season and still posted these big numbers. He had at least three receptions every game. Boyd will continue to start this year, serving as the second best option in this passing game. Boyd is a good route runner and has very good hands. He lacks a little elite speed but still runs pretty well for the position. His length makes him a solid deep threat.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Boyd might have a hard time keeping his pace of last year with Green back in the mix, but don't discount him for some good production once again. He should at least be a No. 3 fantasy receiver. He can get around 80 receptions for 1,100 yards and eight or so scores.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Tyler Boyd is being drafted in the eighth and ninth rounds, making him a great value. Boyd finished as WR15 last season and only played 14 games. Hes only going to know the offense more and be better acquainted with Andy Dalton. Many have his projections coming down because of a shaky offensive line and TD regression, but Id argue Boyd may benefit with some quick action routes. Hes a great slant receiver and with linebacker help often leaning towards A.J. Green, the middle will be open for Boyd. Dont draft him with the expectation of a huge season, however. Hes still the third option in this offense when fully healthy behind Green and Mixon. Hes a solid WR3 to start the season and a guy you wont hate to use as a WR2 in most weeks. If he slips into the ninth round, dont hesitate to pick him up.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd caught one of his three targets but finished with no yards receiving in Week 11 versus the Oakland Raiders. However, he did add one rush for 10 yards.

Fantasy Spin: Whatever ceiling Boyd was lowered considerably the moment Andy Dalton was benched in favor of Ryan Finley during the team's Week 9 bye. It won't always be this bad for him - he had six receptions for 62 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10 - but it's also clear he is no longer a must-start. He'll be a dicey WR3 at best in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

From TheHuddle

Nov 17 9:10pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd was a complete non-factor in Week 11 against the Raiders. He had just one catch in the game but he failed to gain any yards on it. His only positive yardage came on a 10-yard rush, his only rushing attempt in the game. Bengals quarterback Ryan Finley completed only 13 passes in the game, so it's no surprise that Boyd wasn't able to come through with a decent game. Boyd had been mostly consistent all year until this game, so hopefully he can bounce back against the Steelers in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 16 10:10am ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd continued to receive plenty of attention in Week 10 despite the change at quarterback. The 24-year-old has at least seven targets in each of his last five games, while also logging at least 10 looks in five games this season. With the Raiders allowing some shoddy numbers to opposing wideouts over the last few weeks, look for Boyd, along with Joe Mixon, to be the main contributors offensively in Week 11.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 6:40pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd recorded six catches for 62 yards during the loss to the Ravens in Week 10. Though it wasn't his best performance, it was an encouraging sign that he received the most targets (eight) from rookie quarterback Ryan Finley, who finished with 167 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Finley relied mostly on the participation of running back Joe Mixon, who had 30 carries on the day, but Boyd should still be involved to a lesser degree moving forward, especially with A.J. Green (ankle) out indefinitely.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 4:43pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd finished with six receptions for 62 yards on eight targets in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Spin: Boyd has registered three or more catches in all nine of his games this season and he has 55 or more yards in each of the past three. He isn't someone to rely upon regularly for fantasy purposes in standard leagues, but he has been a decent enough WR4 or flex play in PPR play. The Bengals hit the road to face the Raiders in Week 11.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 2:30am ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd will continue to be the No. 1 option for a team that will still be without A.J. Green (ankle) moving forward. Though Boyd will continue to fight for targets with Auden Tate and Alex Erickson, he received plenty of attention from quarterback Andy Dalton before the team's Week 9 bye. With Ryan Finley now at the helm, the 24-year-old is obviously a risky play against the Ravens, with more being revealed regarding his role at the conclusion of the Week 10 showdown against Baltimore. Nonetheless, he is worth a start, but mostly in deeper PPR formats.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 6:03pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd posted six grabs for 65 yards on nine targets in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams in London.

Fantasy Spin: Boyd has recorded at least three receptions in every game this season, and he has 55 or more yards in six of his eight outings. He has been a decent WR3 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues of 12 or more teams, with lesser value in standard play. The Bengals are off in Week 9.

From TheHuddle

Oct 27 5:40pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd had 65 yards on six catches during the loss to the Rams in Week 8. Once again, Boyd yielded production to Alex Erickson, who finished the day with 97 yards on six catches. After catching 10 passes for 123 yards and a score against the Cardinals, the 23-year-old has fizzled as of late, combining for just 130 yards and no scores over the last three contests. With A.J. Green (ankle) expected back after the bye, the sell-high window after his Week 5 performance may have slammed shut for good.

From RotoBaller

Oct 25 10:50am ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd will look to get back on track against the Rams on Sunday. Though he played 71 snaps against the Jaguars in Week 7, while getting 14 targets from quarterback Andy Dalton, the 24-year-old managed to pull in just five catches for 55 yards. The upside is there for Boyd in Week 8, however, so if you are in need of someone to get you through the bye or to come in for injury relief, he is your guy, especially with A.J. Green (ankle) out of the lineup.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 12:20pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd finished with five receptions for 55 yards against Jacksonville on Sunday. With 14 targets on the day, which was tied with Alex Erickson, who hauled in eight catches for 137 yards, Boyd wasn't able to get anything going against a Jaguars Defense that was all over quarterback Andy Dalton. A.J. Green (ankle) is expected to return within the next week or so, and while it may decrease Boyd's looks, Green's presence back in the lineup may open things up for 24-year-old moving forward.

From RotoBaller

Oct 20 6:13pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd posted five receptions for 55 yards on 14 targets in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Spin: Boyd bounced back somewhat after an awful game last week. Andy Dalton tried to get him the ball, but they were unable to connect on nine occasions, too. He has been a decent low-end WR3 at times in PPR leagues, with lesser value in standard play. The Bengals meet the Rams in London in Week 8.

From TheHuddle

Oct 19 5:10am ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd will remain the No. 1 option on Sunday against the Jaguars. With A.J. Green (ankle) still not ready to return, Boyd should continue to get his looks from quarterback Andy Dalton. The 24-year-old has played relatively well, considering that the team has arguably the worst offensive line in football, and without Jalen Ramsey in the mix for Jacksonville after he was traded, the door is open for some solid production from Boyd. The upside is there for those plagued with injuries or looking to get through a bye.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 6:33pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd had three receptions for 10 yards on seven targets in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Spin: Boyd had a giant game last week, posting 10 grabs for a season-high 123 yards and a score, but this week was a season-low yardage total. That type of inconsistency is maddening for fantasy owners. He is a boom or bust fantasy option heading into Week 7 against the Jaguars.

From TheHuddle

Oct 13 5:40pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd finished with just 10 yards on three catches (seven targets) during the loss to the Ravens. After seeing 14 looks from quarterback Andy Dalton against the Cardinals in Week 5, the 24-year-old was held in check throughout this one. With A.J. Green (ankle) expected back for the Week 7 encounter with Jacksonville, his role moving forward is somewhat of a mystery at the moment. Keep an eye on his progress, but the window of opportunity to sell-high after his efficient outing against Arizona may have closed for good.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 8:20am ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd had his best performance of the season against the Cardinals by ending Week 5 with 10 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown. In the absence of both A.J. Green (ankle) and John Ross (shoulder), Boyd continues to be a favorite option for quarterback Andy Dalton as evident by his 14 targets against Arizona. Expect the 24-year-old to continue to get looks and make some noise against the Ravens in Week 6 based on target volume alone.

From RotoBaller

Oct 8 1:00pm ET

Bengals' WR Tyler Boyd scored 28.30 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 5 loss against the Cardinals. Boyd caught 10 passes for 123 yards with one touchdown.

Oct 6 7:10pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd hauled in 10 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown during the loss to the Cardinals. With A.J. Green (foot) and John Ross (shoulder) both out of the equation, Boyd was the clear-cut No. 1 option for quarterback Andy Dalton. The 24-year-old has gotten plenty of looks and will continue to do so until Green can return to the lineup at some point this season. Nonetheless, Boyd remains a must-start moving forward.

From RotoBaller

Oct 6 5:03pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd pulled down 10 receptions for a season-high 123 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Spin: Boyd had his second double-digit catch performance and second 100-yard day, but this was his first visit to the end zone. He'll look to build on the momentum heading into Week 6 at Baltimore. He remains more of a WR3 or flex fantasy option in most leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 4:30pm ET

Bengals' WR Tyler Boyd had 10 receptions for 123 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's loss against the Cardinals.

Oct 3 4:50pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd will likely see an increase in looks from quarterback Andy Dalton against Arizona on Sunday. With the team dealing with a plethora of ailments on the offensive end, the 24-year-old could see north of 10 targets against a weak Cardinals Defense. Though Auden Tate and Tyler Eifert should also be involved on the receiving end in some capacity, expect Boyd to lead the way as long as the offensive line can hold it together. Keep him starting in Week 5.
