2019 RTSports Outlook

Wims played sparsely his rookie season, catching four passes for 32 yards in four games. He will try to move up the depth chart this season but likely serves as the No. 4 o 5 for the team. Wims is a tall receiver but has just so-so speed and athleticism. He catches the ball well and his size makes him an attractive deep threat.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Wims might improve some after doing little last year, but don't expect a big jump. He has a lot to compete with for targets. He might get around 15 catches for 200 yards.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims has a strong chance to make the Week 1 roster after catching five passes for 64 yards in the Bears preseason loss. The second-year receiver looks like he belongs out on the field and was the only consistent weapon for the Bears in the second preseason game. Wims has quietly progressed since being drafted but still would be listed as the sixth receiver on the depth chart if he were to make the team. He will have plenty of opportunities to cement his status and should play plenty of snaps in the final two exhibition games.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims caught five passes for 64 yards in the Bears 32-13 preseason loss to the Giants. Wims used his physical frame to make some nice sideline catches and was open on a targeted deep pass that was overthrown by third-stringer Tyler Bray. Wims has intriguing talent but is battling for a spot on a the team in a crowded wide receivers room. He should continue to lead the Bears in targets the remainder of the preseason.

Chicago Bears WR Javon Wims is a player who 'probably deserves more attention' after performing well during offseason workouts and appears primed to compete for a role on offense in training camp, according to Larry Mayer of the team's website.
