Watson was buried on the depth chart his rookie year, catching one pass in 12 games. The Bucs have more openings at receiver this year, though, so Watson can move up the depth chart and challenge for the No. 3 or 4 receiver job. Watson is a big receiver with size and strength. He does well on contested catches and can make some plays deep. He doesn't have top speed, though, and needs work on his route running.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Watson should get more work this year but likely not enough to be a factor with fantasy teams. He will be erratic in a reserve role and with three players likely to get a bunch more targets than him. He could get around 20 catches for 250 yards.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Justin Watson worked 'extensively' in the slot this spring, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.
Fantasy Spin: As Auman states, there has been a lot of offseason talk about Chris Godwin working in the slot. Godwin will still get plenty of time inside and probably be the primary slot option in Tampa Bay, but he won't be the only one that spends time there. Owners can continue drafting Godwin high because he is poised to break out regardless of where he lines up, but Watson is a name to remember as a highly athletic player capable of becoming what Godwin turned into last season.
