2019 RTSports Outlook

Wrist and ankle injuries limited Crowder to nine games last year. He had 29 receptions for 388 yards and two scores. He had at least four receptions five of his nine games played. He was a factor in the passing game when on the field. Crowder had two straight seasons with 65-plus receptions before last year. He is a great fit for the slot, a role he is expected to serve again for the Jets. Crowder is a small receiver but has good moves in space and knows how to get open. He gets by with his speed and quickness. Crowder lacks some bulk and height, which limits him some from playing on the outside. Fantasy Outlook: Crowder is a productive receiver in PPR formats, getting plenty of weekly chances. He remains more of a reserve option for fantasy teams, though. He'll get his catches but the rest of his numbers will be pretty mediocre. He can get around 60 receptions for 700 yards and four or five scores. A move to the Jets doesn't make him a much better option than past years.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Crowders 2018 season with the Washington Redskins was terrible whether he was on the field (29-388-2 in nine games) or off it (missed seven games due to injury). Thank goodness he took his talents to the New York Jets or else who knows what he would have done fantasy-wise with Case Keenum or Dwayne Haskins throwing to him in Washington. Crowder signed for $28.5 million to become New Yorks starting slot receiver and make plays down the middle while Robby Anderson hits home runs downfield. The problem is that hard-nosed Quincy Enunwa is a Sam Darnold favorite and might take some targets away from Crowder on third down, plus Crowder might be hard-pressed to reach 95-100 targets when the Jets have to spread the ball around to Anderson, Enunwa, tight end Christopher Herndon and top tailback LeVeon Bell. Crowder does not find the end zone (14 TD in four seasons) so he is more valuable in PPR leagues, but if he has to battle four other pass catchers for targets he might not be very valuable there, either. With a new team, offense, head coach and quarterback, Crowder still should be viewed as a WR3, but the situation he signed into might cause him to slip to be a WR4.

From TheHuddle

Nov 15 2:50pm ET

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder has established himself as QB Sam Darnold's favorite target and will look to keep his personal hot streak going this Sunday in Washington. Crowder has 164 yards and two touchdowns in his previous two games and is easily Darnold's most targeted receiver. In six games with Darnold under center, Crowder is averaging 6.7 catches and 68.5 yards per game. The Redskins have a middle of the pack secondary so Crowder should have space to make some plays assuming he continues to see the target volume he's been getting lately.

From TheHuddle

Nov 10 5:40pm ET

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder caught five of six targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in a win vs the Giants Sunday. Crowder has now scored in back-to-back games after being held out of the end zone in the first seven games of the season. Crowder's numbers overall are fine, but in games where starting QB Sam Darnold has been healthy Crowder has been much better. In six games with Darnold, Crowder has 40 catches for 411 yards and two touchdowns and is by far Darnold's most targeted receiver. Fire Crowder up as a starting-caliber fantasy receiver next week in a revenge game for him vs the Redskins.

From TheHuddle

Nov 8 3:00pm ET

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder has been one of the few bright spots in a lost season for the Jets, and has another good matchup this week vs a beatable Giants secondary. Crowder leads the Jets in targets and has averaged nine targets per game in the five starts Sam Darnold has made this season. Assuming he gets close to that workload, he should be able to put up good numbers, especially in PPR, vs a Giants Defense that allows the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Starting any piece of the Jets offense is risky, but Crowder should be able to put up WR2 numbers in this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 7 7:33pm ET

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.

Fantasy Spin: Crowder had one of his better games of the season in Week 9 and has posted at least 80 yards in three games this season. He should continue to be a reliable target for the Jets and can be at least a flex option in leagues.

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Fantasy Spin: Crowder picked up his first touchdown of the season last week and has been targeted at least five times in each of the last four games. He appears to have a good connection with Sam Darnold and can be a flex option in most leagues this week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 6:30pm ET

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder made eight catches for 83 yards and scored his first touchdown of the season in a loss to the Dolphins Sunday. Crowder hauled in a 12-yard score on the team's opening drive and was peppered with nine targets as QB Sam Darnold faced consistent pressure and checked down to Crowder out of the slot frequently. Crowder has been mostly good when Darnold has been healthy and remains a solid WR3, especially in PPR formats, with the Jets facing a soft upcoming schedule.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 6:13pm ET

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder caught eight passes for 83 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 9. He was targeted nine times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Crowder has been targeted at least five times in seven of the eight games this season. He is a reliable target for Sam Darnold this season and can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues next week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 2 10:40am ET

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder will look to find the end zone for the first time this season when the Jets square off against the winless Dolphins. Crowder was a hot waiver wire add after a 14-catch performance in Week 1, but has had more than four catches in a game just once since then. Crowder has been trending in the wrong direction as Demaryius Thomas has been getting more involved in the offense but still leads the Jets with 50 targets. He's a solid flex play in PPR leagues against a Dolphins Defense that is ninth in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 7:13pm ET

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 1, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: Crowder has been held to under 30 yards in four of the last five games but will look to rebound against the Miami Dolphins this week. He can be a possible flex option in deeper leagues because of the matchup.
