Player Notes
Dec 6 1:23pm ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (non-injury) on Friday, Dec. 6, sat out a second consecutive day of practice with an illness, and head coach Adam Gase said he's unsure if Bell will be able to play Sunday, Dec. 8, in Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: Bad timing for Bell owners who will need to be extra vigilant up until kickoff. If Bell can't go, it will likely be a combo of Bilal Powell and Ty Montgomery filling in, but neither would be much more than a dart-throw flex option.

Dec 5 2:23pm ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (non-injury) sat out practice Thursday, Dec. 5, with an illness.

Fantasy Spin: We'll see if he's back at it Friday, and if so, he projects as a high-end RB2 for Sunday's plus-matchup against the visiting Dolphins.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 10:10am ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell has had a rough first year in green and white averaging just 3.2 yards per carry and scoring just four total touchdowns through 13 games. Despite the rough season, a juicy matchup with a porous Dolphins run defense should have Bell in fantasy lineups once again this week. Miami gives up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs and the Jets should focus on giving Bell the ball. Last week the Jets only gave Bell 10 carries against a bad Bengals run defense and were rightfully panned in the New York media for their game plan vs Cincinnati. Expect the coaching staff to learn from their mistake and feed Bell 20-plus touches this weekend putting Bell in the low-end RB1 conversation based on volume and matchup.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 5:43pm ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell rushed 10 times for 32 yards in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals while adding four grabs for 35 yards on five targets.

Fantasy Spin: Bell's performance disappointing, as was the overall production of the Bengals offense against the previously winless Bengals. Bell will look to bounce back in Week 14 against the New York Jets.

From TheHuddle

Dec 1 5:40pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell carried the ball 10 times for just 32 yards in a loss to the Bengals Sunday. Bell added four catches for 35 yards in another disappointing game for fantasy owners that used an early pick on the former Steeler. The Bengals had the worst run defense in the NFL coming into this game but the Jets ran the ball just 17 times as the game script tilted away from the run game early. To make matters worse for Bell, he had a season-long 22 -yard run erased via penalty as the Jets offensive line continues to struggle to provide running room. Bell will be in the RB2-mix next week with another good matchup against the Dolphins.

From RotoBaller

Nov 29 2:50pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell has been a bit of a disappointment for fantasy managers that invested an early pick on the former Steeler, but things could change in a big way this week for Bell vs a familiar opponent. Bell has struggled to run the ball this year playing behind a worse offensive line than he had in Pittsburgh, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. He is yet to have 100 rushing yards in a game and has just three rushing scores on the year. For his running struggles, Bell makes up for it some as a receiver. He has four receiving touchdowns and is the second-most targeted player on the Jets. Start Bell expecting him to get his usual 20-plus touches against a Bengals Defense that he should be able to have RB1-type success against.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 6:30pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell carried the ball 12 times for 49 yards in a win over the Raiders Sunday. Bell didn't score a touchdown for the first time in three games but added 59 yards on five receptions to put together a solid, if unspectacular, fantasy day. The bad news for Bell owners in this game was the Jets splitting carries more than they have most of the season. Backup running backs Ty Montgomery and Bilal Powell had five carries each after Bell had been receiving the lion's share of the carries this season. The Jets said before the season Bell wouldn't have the intense workload he had in Pittsburgh and the further into the season it gets the more other RBs are getting involved. Bell is still getting RB1 work and is a must-start in fantasy, but owners should keep an eye on his touches.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 5:13pm ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell rushed 12 times for 49 yards in Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders and he added five receptions for 59 yards on five targets.

Fantasy Spin: Bell went over 100 total scrimmage yards for the first time since Nov. 3 in Miami, but his streak of two games in a row with a touchdown came to an end. He remains more of a RB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 13 on the road against the winless Cincinnati Bengals.

From TheHuddle

Nov 22 3:00pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell has struggled at times this season, but has scored a touchdown each of the past two weeks to salvage decent fantasy production. Now Bell will face an Oakland defense that is middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to running backs, but have been worse defending pass-catching backs. The Raiders have allowed five receiving touchdowns to running backs, tied for second-most in the NFL and Bell is the second-most targeted player on the Jets. Bell has struggled to find running room behind a sub-par offensive line but has been getting 20-plus touches in most weeks and has scored more with Sam Darnold back healthy. Bell is a must-start option in this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 11:30pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell carried the ball 18 times for 59 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Redskins. Bell also had two catches in the game to give him 20 total touches for the seventh time in 11 games this season. This is the second straight good-not-great performance from Bell where he saved his fantasy day with a touchdown. It's fair to wonder if the Jets start to split carries more with Bilal Powell, the latter received seven carries for the second straight week. Powell averaged six yards per carry to Bell's 3.3 so they may rely more on the fresh legs more moving forward. Despite the inefficiency from Bell, his typical volume makes him a must-start RB in fantasy.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 8:53pm ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell ran 18 times for 59 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Washington Redskins and he added two grabs for 33 yards on his two targets.

Fantasy Spin: Bell has been a bright spot for the Jets this season. While he hasn't had a lot of giant stat lines, he has been consistent and decent as a RB2 in most fantasy leagues. The Jets have a favorable matchup against the Oakland Raiders in Week 12.

From TheHuddle

Nov 17 12:00pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell (knee, illness, ribs) and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (hamstring, knee) are both active for Week 11 against the Redskins. Bell continues to fight through injuries in a disappointing first season with Gang Green, but he has another opportunity to break out against a weak Redskins front. He'll have low-end RB1/high-end RB2 appeal. If Bell can't get it done today for fantasy owners, there's not much hope that he'll be an RB1 the rest of the way. Thomas had a decent day in Week 10 but remains third on the receiver depth chart behind Jamison Crowder and Robby Anderson. Despite the good matchup, Thomas is a low-upside WR4/5 in deeper fantasy leagues.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 11:53am ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (illness, knee, ribs) is officially active for the team's Week 11 game.

Fantasy Spin: Bell has been a big part of the offense for the Jets and should continue to receive a significant amount of touches. He will have a favorable matchup this week and is a must-start option in all leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 17 8:43am ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (illness, knee, ribs) is expected to play in Week 11's game against the Washington Redskins, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Bell had been listed as questionable on the injury report after participating in two of the team's three practice sessions during the week on a limited basis. He has a favorable matchup versus Washington and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 15 6:33pm ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (illness, knee, ribs) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 15, and is listed as questionable for Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: Bell likely will be able to play this week, but fantasy players should keep an eye on his status over the next few days. He has not been as productive this season as he has in the past but should still be a starting option in all leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 15 4:10pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell (knee, illness, ribs) and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (hamstring, knee) were both limited in practice the last two days and are questionable for Week 11 against the Redskins. Barring a late setback, both players are fully expected to suit up. Bell has been a disappointment to fantasy owners in his first year with Gang Green, but he has another great chance to put up numbers this Sunday against a bad Redskins Defense. Thomas has been better than Robby Anderson of late, but he's still more of a low-upside WR4/5 in a shaky Jets offense.

From RotoBaller

Nov 15 3:43pm ET

New York Jets LB C.J. Mosley (groin), DB Matthias Farley (quad), OL Ryan Kalil (knee) and LB Paul Worrilow (quad) were unable to practice Friday, Nov. 15, and have been ruled out for Week 11 against the New York Jets. CB Darryl Roberts (calf) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. RB Le'Veon Bell (ribs, knee, illness), LB Brandon Copeland (hip, thumb), LB Neville Hewitt (neck, knee), OL Alex Lewis (elbow), DL Steve McLendon (neck), OL Kelvin Beachum (ankle) and WR Demaryius Thomas (knee, hamstring) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. DL Henry Anderson (shoulder) was upgraded to full practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. WR Robby Anderson was a limited participant in practice all week but no longer appears on the injury report. RB Josh Adams (illness), QB Sam Darnold (thumb), WR Jamison Crowder (knee, quad), WR Braxton Berrios (hamstring, hip), TE Ryan Griffin (ankle), OL Tom Compton (back), LB Jordan Jenkins (calf), DB Blessuan Austin (knee) and DB Nate Hairston (thumb, knee) fully participated in practice Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Nov 15 2:10pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell (illness) will be a low-end RB1 in a good matchup with the Redskins this Sunday. He was limited this week in practice with an illness, but head coach Adam Gase has said he expects Bell to be fine to suit up. The Jets have struggled to run the ball this season but Bell has been heavily used playing over 89 percent of the team's offensive snaps and has been heavily involved in the passing game as well. Assuming he gets his usual 20-plus touches Bell will be must-start in a matchup with a Redskins Defense that allows the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

From RotoBaller

Nov 15 11:33am ET

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (knee, illness) will be limited again in practice Friday, Nov. 15.

Fantasy Spin: Bell is likely to be questionable, but it's hard to see him not playing. The Washington Redskins are a solid matchup, and he'll be a great RB2.

From TheHuddle

Nov 14 12:00pm ET

New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell (ribs) will be limited in practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. The Jets were just giving Bell a breather in practice on Wednesday, so you should expect him to be fine for Week 11 against the Redskins. The team's starting running back probably isn't 100 percent at this point in the season, but he should be treated as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 for a glorious matchup with Washington's porous defense this Sunday. Bell is still searching for a statement game in his first season with Gang Green, and he's averaging a disappointing 3.1 yards per carry through 10 weeks. His fantasy owners are hoping this will be his breakout game.
