Player Notes
Feb 3 12:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel netted five of nine targets for 39 yards and added three rushes for 53 yards in the Super Bowl loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. The electric Samuel was the best offensive player for the Niners and was heavily featured throughout the game. The 2019 second-round draft pick was hyped as a dual-threat all season and he showed it on the NFLs biggest stage. Samuel emerged as the top aerial threat down the stretch and caps off a brilliant rookie year with 961 regular season scrimmage yards and six touchdowns. Hell garner WR2 fantasy buzz all offseason.

Jan 31 12:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel could lead his team in receiving in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. The rookie wideout has emerged as a top playmaker during the teams stretch run and has also factored into the running game. Even with the Niners attempting just 27 passes across two playoff games, Samuel has earned nine targets. As a trusted weapon with dual-threat potential, Samuel will likely be a very popular DFS and prop bet candidate on Sunday.

Jan 20 10:40pm ET

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Deebo Samuel combined for just three catches for 65 yards in the NFC Championship victory against the Green Bay Packers. Samuel added two rushes for 43 yards. The Niners opened up the game with a dominant running attack and a 27-0 lead, resulting in quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo attempting just eight passes. While the stat sheet was underwhelming, both aerial playmakers made the most of their opportunities, picking up chunk gains on each touch. With the vaunted Kansas City Chiefs offense on deck, the Niners will conceivably need to throw the ball more in the Super Bowl.

Jan 17 1:00pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Emmanuel Sanders both offer solid fantasy value in the NFC Championship against the Green Bay Packers. Both players were limited to under 45 yards apiece in last weekends Divisional Round blowout but were featured early on when the game was still in question. The rookie Samuel has emerged as a consistent dual threat in the latter half of 2019 and is likelier the safer floor. Sanders, the savvy vet has proven himself as a reliable chain-mover with big-play potential. Against the Packers 10th-best pass defense by DVOA, either option seem primed to pop in Sundays winner-take-all battle.

Jan 11 8:10pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel logged three catches for 42 yards and handled a six-yard rush in the Divisional Round win against the Minnesota Vikings. The Niners opened the game with an aggressive passing game plan and Samuel was notably featured, but ultimately rode its dominant rushing attack to 186 yards and an easy 27-10 victory. Samuel again played nearly every snap, giving him a solid floor to balance the major upside. Hell be a fine WR2 option in next Sundays NFC Championship game.

From RotoBaller

Jan 9 5:40pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel carries positive momentum into the Divisional Round matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. After a slow start, the rookie shined in his final eight games, surpassing 100 scrimmage yards or finding the end zone in seven contests. Samuel faces a tough challenge against the Vikings seventh-best pass defense by DVOA, but consistency has earned him WR3 fantasy value. Playing nearly every snap opposite of veteran wideout Emmanuel Sanders, Samuel has also factored into the rushing game, averaging 11.4 yards per tote with three touchdowns this season. Drafted as an electric dual threat and performing to expectations, Samuel will likely be a popular DFS candidate in his first-ever playoff game.

Dec 30 11:40am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel secured five of five targets for 102 yards while adding two rushes for 33 yards and a touchdown in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks. The electric rookie once again showed his versatility, scoring on a 30-yard run in the second quarter by shaking multiple Seahawks defenders down the sideline. Samuel was also a YAC monster in the pass game, moving chains all evening. He finishes the regular season with 57 catches for 802 yards, 159 rush yards and six touchdowns, highlighted by an eight-game stretch with 697 scrimmage yards to end the year. Even with the Niners offensive talent, Samuel has emerged as a consistent and trusted option. Hell be an upside WR3 in the Divisional playoff round once the Niners emerge from their bye.

Dec 27 2:40pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be a solid WR3 in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks. While hes emerged as a trustworthy target in the passing attack, Samuel has also demonstrated his versatility with seven rushes for 89 yards and a touchdown in his last four games. Facing a vulnerable Seahawks Defense in both the rush and pass, Samuel could shine in a critical matchup to determine playoff seeding. Fantasy managers should keep the standout rookie in their plans in any format.

Dec 22 3:20am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel had three carries for 28 yards and a score against the Rams, running one in early in the second quarter. He also caught four of his six targets for 31 yards. This was his first time finding the end zone since Week 13 and a more favorable performance than what he produced against the Falcons, where he finished with just one catch for 29 yards. While Jimmy Garoppolo struggled and turned most of his attention toward George Kittle, the 23-year-old was still able to come away with something. He will look to end the season on a positive note against a mediocre Seahawks Defense in Week 17.

Dec 20 12:10pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Emmanuel Sanders suffered in Week 15, combining for just 40 receiving yards on one catch apiece. Both players will look to bounce back in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Rams. Prior to last weekend, Samuel had gone five consecutive games with a touchdown or 100 scrimmage yards. Sanders was fresh off a monstrous 157-yard, two touchdown (one passing) game in Week 14 so his flop could also be an anomaly. With both players dominating snap share at 90 percent, Samuel and Sanders are upside WR3s even in a tough matchup against a strong Rams secondary.

Dec 15 8:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel earned three targets against the Falcons in Week 15 and managed just one catch for 29 yards. He also had an eight-yard rush in the game. Samuel had been on a hot streak coming into this game with either five-or-more catches or a touchdown in five straight games. Despite a favorable matchup against the Falcons, the 49ers offense struggled as a whole in this game. Samuel and the 49ers will look to get back on track against the Rams in Week 16.

Dec 12 6:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel has lived up to his second-round billing in recent weeks and remains a steady WR3 in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons. Over his last five contests, Samuel has either surpassed 100 scrimmage yards or scored a touchdown, becoming an instrumental piece of the offense. Even with veteran wideout Emmanuel Sanders reassuming No. 1 receiver status, Samuel has continued finding ways to make an impact. Against an Atlanta Falcons Defense ranked 26th in DVOA, there should be ample opportunities for all Niners playmakers.

From RotoBaller

Dec 8 7:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel netted five of eight targets for 76 yards in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints, adding two rushes for 33 yards. The rookie has now gone five straight games with either 100 scrimmage yards or a touchdown and rarely comes off the field. He showed his versatility on Sunday, participating in running schemes and moving the chains on several impact catches. Samuel will remain a solid WR3 in Week 15 in a cushy matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Dec 5 4:40pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) and wide receivers Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) are practicing in full on Thursday. Breida is the big one, as he hasn't played since Nov. 11 against the Seahawks. His return will make it hard to trust anyone in San Fran's backfield, which includes Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert. Jeffery Wilson could be a healthy scratch with Breida back in Week 14 to face the Bills in a tough matchup. Samuel and Sanders are good to go as well. Samuel has become the better fantasy wideout over Sanders, but the rookie is still a boom/bust WR3 for fantasy owners in this run-first offense.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 7:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel snatched two of four targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens. The rookie also added a 20-yard rush. Most Niners pass-catchers were rendered useless in the rainy battle but Samuel made the stat sheet with an impressive 33-yard contested touchdown catch on the opening drive. After an inconsistent start to his career, the 2019 second-rounder has 20 catches for 337 yards and two touchdowns in his last four contests. With the game seemingly slowing down, Samuel has surpassed veteran Emmanuel Sanders on the depth chart and will settle as a solid WR3 in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints.

Nov 29 6:10pm ET

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (ankle, knee), wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and kicker Robbie Gould (quadriceps) were all taken off the final injury report for Week 13 against the Ravens. Kittle returned last Sunday and went off for over 100 yards and a touchdown against the Packers. Despite the tough matchup, he's a must-start fantasy tight end. Sanders and Samuel are the top two receivers for the team, but the Ravens have been very stingy against wideouts of late. In a run-first offense, Sanders is more of a WR4, while Samuel is trending up as a boom/bust WR3. Gould will be returning for the first time since Halloween. He had been struggling before his injury, so fantasy owners should look to stay away.

From RotoBaller

Nov 27 4:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and running back Matt Breida (ankle) were all limited in practice on Wednesday. Kicker Robbie Gould (quadriceps) was also cleared to practice. At less than 100 percent the last two weeks, Sanders has just four catches for 48 yards. He hasn't done much of anything in his five games with San Fran other than his seven-catch, 112-yard, one-TD performance on Halloween against the Cardinals. Samuel, on the other hand, has a touchdown and two 100-yard games in the last three contests. He's become the better fantasy option over Sanders. Breida is on track to return after missing the last two weeks. He'd be an RB2/3 while splitting touches with Tevin Coleman. Breida's return would make Raheem Mostert hard to trust. Gould could also return this weekend, but he's not a recommended streamer if he's back on the field.

Nov 25 12:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel caught both of his targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in a 37-8 victory over the Green Bay Packers. The rookie broke free of the Packers secondary at the end of the first half for a 42-yard catch-and-run score, his third touchdown of the year. Samuel received only two targets after seeing 21 in his last two games combined, though the 49ers had no reason to throw up 23-0 at the half. The 23-year-old ranks fourth among rookies in receiving yards and has been San Francisco's best receiver this year. Samuel will face an improved Baltimore Ravens secondary in Week 13.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 9:20am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) let Week 11's meeting with the Cardinals early, but not before catching eight passes for 134 yards. He's expected to play in Week 12 against the Packer. With how strong Samuel has come on after the past couple of games, he's worth a flex spot in most formats in what's suddenly becoming a strong 49ers passing offense.

From RotoBaller

Nov 23 3:40pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) is questionable for Week 12, but he's expected to play. The Green Bay Packers aren't a great matchup, but Samuel has been productive the last five weeks in point-per-reception leagues. He has 23 grabs for 305 yards and no touchdowns, which ranks him 22nd in fantasy points during the stretch. Samuel is a solid WR3 in PPR formats this week.
