Nov 4 3:20pm ET

The Washington Redskins haven't made a decision on their starting quarterback at the moment, and interim head coach Bill Callahan said he'll take his time and announce it after the team's Week 10 bye. The 'Skins didn't put much on rookie Dwayne Haskins' plate in a tough matchup against the Bills in his first ever start, and he went 15-for-22 for just 144 yards with no interceptions or touchdowns. The 22-year-old could be the franchise QB in the long term, but he's not a good redraft option even if he continues to start. Case Keenum (concussion) is the better bet for fantasy purposes if he returns as the starter in Week 11, but even he would be a low-end QB2 option the rest of the way.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 11:43am ET

The Washington Redskins have declared CB Aaron Colvin, FS Montae Nicholson, CB Deshazor Everett, QB Case Keenum, TE Vernon Davis, RB Chris Thompson and OG Wes Martin inactive for Week 9.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 8:13pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (concussion) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 1, but has been ruled out for Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: Dwayne Haskins will receive his first career start with Keenum sidelined but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 5:43pm ET

Washington Redskins S Deshazor Everett (ankle), S Montae Nicholson (ankle) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) were unable to practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills. TE Vernon Davis (concussion) and QB Case Keenum (concussion) were limited in practice all week and have also been ruled out. DT Treyvon Hester (elbow) was a full participant in practice despite getting added to the injury report on Friday, Nov. 1, and is listed as questionable. RB Adrian Peterson (ankle), CB Quinton Dunbar (hamstring), LB Josh Harvey-Clemons (hamstring), OG Wes Martin (chest), DB Jeremy Reaves (concussion), CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand) and WR Steven Sims (toe) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 2:40pm ET

Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum (concussion), running back Chris Thompson (toe) and tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) have all been ruled out for Week 9 against the Bills. Rookie Dwayne Haskins will make his first career start under center, but he's a last-gasp QB2 for those desperate owners against a strong Bills Defense on the road. Thompson and Davis remain week-to-week with their injuries. Adrian Peterson should continue to be the bell-cow in this backfield, but he has very little upside in this poor offense in a terrible matchup. Jeremy Sprinkle hasn't done much with Davis out in recent weeks, and that shouldn't change this Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Oct 31 6:13pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (concussion) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 31.

Fantasy Spin: Keenum has a few days to pass the concussion tests if he wants to play in Week 9. Dwayne Haskins likely would start if Keenum is ruled out, but both players should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 31 3:50pm ET

Washington Redskins interim head coach Bill Callahan said that quarterback Case Keenum (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol, but it's still possible that he plays in Week 9 against the Bills if he feels better on Friday. Keenum has been taking third-team repetitions at practice behind rookie Dwayne Haskins and Colt McCoy. It's more of a long shot that he'll play at this point, which would put Haskins in line to make his first career start. It would be bad timing, as he's looked really bad in limited duty so far this year, and Buffalo's defense is one of the scariest in the league. Either way, fantasy owners would have to be desperate to use Washington's starting QB this weekend, even in two-quarterback formats.

From RotoBaller

Oct 30 4:53pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Fantasy Spin: Keenum will need to progress through the concussion protocol but it's promising to see him back on the field in some capacity. Fantasy managers in two-quarterback leagues will need to stand by.

From TheHuddle

Oct 28 3:43pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (concussion) did not practice Monday, Oct. 28, and remains in the league's concussion protocol, according to ESPN's John Keim.

From TheHuddle

Oct 25 1:40am ET

Washington Redskins interim head coach Bill Callahan said that quarterback Case Keenum (concussion) will be the starter in Week 9 against the Bills if he's healthy. If he can't get cleared from the league's concussion protocol after suffering a head injury Thursday night, rookie Dwayne Haskins would get the start. The good news is that Keenum will have extra time to get over his head injury, but a date with Buffalo's strong defense on the road won't be good for whoever starts for the 'Skins next week. Keenum gives the Redskins the best chance to win in the short term, and Haskins has looked very overmatched in his little action so far in his rookie season. Washington's offense remains one of the worst in the NFL no matter who is under center.

From RotoBaller

Oct 25 1:03am ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (concussion) will be the team's starter against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Nov. 3, if he clears the concussion protocol, according to interim head coach Bill Callahan. Prior to departing with the injury, Keenum was 12 of 16 for 130 yards against the Minnesota Vikings Thursday, Oct. 24.

Fantasy Spin: Keenum was solid against his former club, and after watching Dwayne Haskins in the second half it's no wonder that Callahan said after the game that there was "no question" Keenum would be the starter if healthy. We'll see if the extra days off are enough to get Keenum on the field, but even if he plays he's of no interest to fantasy owners.

From TheHuddle

Oct 24 10:20pm ET

Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum (concussion) suffered a concussion on Thursday night against the Vikings and has been ruled out for the second half. The journeyman quarterback was 12-for-16 for 130 yards without a touchdown or interception, but he did lose a fumble before leaving. He wasn't terrible, but he predictably wasn't great either against a strong Vikings Defense. Keenum will have extra time to clear the protocol before the Week 9 game, but there's still a chance the 'Skins go back to rookie Dwayne Haskins. Haskins will get the rest of the second half to try to lead the team to a comeback on the road.

From RotoBaller

Oct 24 10:03pm ET

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings with a concussion.

Fantasy Spin: Haskins will finish out the game, and if Keenum misses additional time, Haskins and Colt McCoy would both be candidates to start. However, neither player would worthwhile fantasy options.

From TheHuddle

Oct 23 2:53pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (foot, shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

Fantasy Spin: Keenum is facing another tough defense this week and probably should be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 23 10:10am ET

Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum will look to bounce back from Sunday's 9-0 loss in which he threw for under 100 yards, but a date with Minnesota doesn't provide him with much more fantasy appeal. This should be interpreted more as a lack of faith in Washington's offense than a vote of confidence in the Vikings' relatively exploitable pass defense, but the point remains. The Redskins are averaging 12.9 points per game on offense, and they could be without both of Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson in the backfield. The hope here from a fantasy perspective is that Minnesota's suddenly explosive offense puts the Redskins up against a massive early deficit, thus forcing Keenum to air it out. Even if the Thursday night game unfolds as such, fantasy owners would be putting a ton of misguided faith in pass-catchers like Paul Richardson and Trey Quinn by starting Keenum in fantasy lineups. The reward does not outweigh the risk.

From RotoBaller

Oct 22 6:03pm ET

Washington Redskins S Deshazor Everett (ankle), LB Josh Harvey-Clemons (hamstring), OG Wes Martin (chest), S Montae Nicholson (ankle), CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand), Adrian Peterson (ankle) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) did not practice Tuesday, Oct. 22. WR Steven Sims Jr. (toe) and TE Vernon Davis (concussion) were limited. LB Ryan Kerrigan (elbow) and QB Case Keenum (shoulder, foot) participated fully in practice. OT Donald Penn (non-injury) was not given a practice designation after being limited one day earlier.

From TheHuddle

Oct 21 5:53pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (foot, shoulder) fully participated in practice Monday, Oct. 21. The Redskins did not hold a practice Monday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Keenum struggled in inclement weather last week and will be facing another tough opponent again this week. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 20 6:30pm ET

Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum completed nine of 12 passes for 77 yards in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. Terrible weather slowed down both of the offenses in this contest, and the Redskins ran the ball just well enough that airing it out through a hard rain would not have improved their chances of winning against San Francisco. Up next for Keenum is a rolling Vikings team on a short week, as the two NFC foes will face off on Thursday night in Minnesota.

From RotoBaller

Oct 20 4:33pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum went 9-for-12 for 77 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Keenum did not throw much because of the weather and was not able to put any points on the board. He probably will remain the starting quarterback for now but should be avoided in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 18 4:23pm ET

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum (foot, shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Keenum has thrown at least two touchdowns in four of the five games he has played in this season but will be facing a tough San Francisco 49ers defense. He could be a low-end No. 2 quarterback in two-quarterback leagues but should be avoided in standard leagues.
