Oct 18 8:30pm ET

Jacksonville rookie signal caller Gardner Minshew hit a significant bump in the road last week for the first time as a starter. The cure for that skid? It may just prove to be a matchup against a Bengals Defense yielding greater than 425 yards per game. Minshew failed to toss a touchdown last Sunday against New Orleans, the first time he did not record one in six games. While his 240.3 passing yard per contest average is far from gaudy, he has tossed nine touchdowns to just two interceptions, making him a safe option in traditional fantasy, as well as a high-upside low-priced option in DFS.

Oct 13 6:10pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew was smothered by the Saints Defense on Sunday and finished with just 163 yards and a pick on 14-for-29 passing. After throwing his first interception as a starter, Minshew also went without a touchdown toss for the first time this year. The future looks good for the rookie, however, as the Jags will hit the road for a Week 7 showdown with the winless Bengals. Expect a bounce-back performance.

Oct 10 4:30pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew (groin) was added to the Week 6 injury report on Thursday with "minor groin soreness." It's something to keep an eye on, but as of now Minshew should be able to suit up and play against the Saints at home this Sunday. New Orleans allows the third most fantasy points per week (27.2) to the quarterback position, so Minshew could be in for another 300-plus yard outing with a couple touchdowns, especially if Jacksonville is playing from behind. Minshew Mania has high-end QB2 upside this weekend.

Oct 8 1:00pm ET

Jaguars' QB Gardner Minshew II scored 27.90 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 5 loss in Carolina. Minshew II threw for 374 yards on 26-of-44 with two touchdowns.

Oct 6 5:40pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew was 26-for-44 for 374 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers. It was Minshew's first game with 300 or more passing yards. Carolina wasn't a great matchup for the Jaguars, but Minshew was able to find his receivers and make plays. This might not be a harbinger of future success for Minshew, who remains a fantasy QB2 at this point, but it did show us that Minshew's capable of having big yardage days.

Jaguars' QB Gardner Minshew II passed for 374 yards on 26-of-44 with two touchdowns in Sunday's loss in Carolina.

Oct 4 10:40am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew faces a Panthers Defense in Week 5 that's allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and held Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson to no touchdowns and under 200 yards passing in Week 4. That's not a great sign for Minshew's fantasy viability, and he's a low-end QB2 at best in this matchup. Outside of two-quarterback leagues, it's hard to find a convincing argument for playing Minshew that can be backed up with statistical evidence. Sure, he's exciting, but we just saw the Panthers shut down an exciting quarterback.

Oct 2 12:20pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew (knee) will be limited in practice on Wednesday, and head coach Doug Marrone said the team is being careful with Minshew's knee. The Jaguars are just being cautious here with the rookie, so we'd fully expect him to suit up in Week 5 against the Panthers. Minshew hasn't made many mistakes but also hasn't gone over 300 yards passing in four games this season. You could do much worse in two-quarterback leagues, but he'll be just a low-end QB2 option against Carolina this weekend.

Sep 29 8:10pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew put up solid numbers in Sunday's win over the Broncos, going 19-for-33 from the field for 213 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He added two rushing yards on one attempt. The Broncos were able to get pressure on Minshew, but the rookie avoided turning the ball over and put Jacksonville in a position to win. If he continues to play like this, he'll keep creeping up the QB2 tier, though it's tough to see him graduating into a weekly starter in 12-team leagues.

Sep 27 11:40pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew has gotten off to a strong start in his NFL career, but on Sunday he goes on the road against a Broncos team that's allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. That's definitely not good news for Gardner, and while he's shown a strong mix of swagger and skill thus far in his rookie year, that might not be enough to make Minshew fantasy relevant in most formats on Sunday. Consider him a low-end QB2.

Sep 19 11:50pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew threw a pair of first quarter touchdowns in Thursday's win over the Tennessee Titans. He ended up with 204 passing yards on 20-for-30 passing and also added 18 rushing yards on four carries. It was a solid game for Minshew, though one of those touchdowns was made easy by the Jaguars starting a drive at the Titans' seven-yard line. Minshew is making crisp throws and avoiding mistakes so far in his Jaguars tenure and looks like a solid QB2 at this point.

Sep 19 9:40am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew faces a Titans Defense on Thursday that's been in the middle of the pack so far this year when it comes to defending quarterbacks. The Titans allow the 19th-most fantasy points to opposing passers, and while it's too early to draw major conclusions from that, it's not too early to say this: you should not start Gardner Minshew in a one-quarterback league in a Thursday night game. He has value as a low-end QB2 this week, but we saw in Week 2 against the Texans how Minshew can struggle against better defenses.

From RotoBaller

Sep 18 3:40pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson (knee) will start on Thursday against the Titans. It's an upgrade for rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew's blind-side protection in Week 3, but Jacksonville's offense is still likely to struggle to move the ball consistently without Nick Foles (collarbone) under center. You should only be looking to start Minshew if you're desperate in deep two-QB leagues.

Sep 15 4:30pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew threw for 213 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. He was 22-for-33 passing and also added 56 rushing yards on six carries. It was another solid fantasy outing for Minshew, though it didn't really translate to the scoreboard for the rookie passer. Minshew looks like a solid option in two-quarterback leagues, but until he can show that he can put the ball in the end zone consistently, Minshew won't have much more value than that.

From RotoBaller

Sep 13 11:20am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew threw just three incompletions in his NFL debut against the Chiefs in Week 1, and he'll look to keep that efficiency going against a weak Houston Texans secondary in Week 2. The Texans allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to a quarterback in Week 1 and struggle to defend down the field. Minshew looked accurate in Week 1 throwing the ball and has experience playing in a high octane, Air Raid offense. If the Jaguars line gives him time, he should be able to have another solid day. He shouldn't be started in leagues where you start one quarterback, but he's a strong option to be a QB2 in a two-quarterback or superflex league.

From RotoBaller

Sep 9 12:30pm ET

The Jacksonville Jaguars feel comfortable using quarterback Gardner Minshew as their starter under center with Nick Foles (collarbone) on Injured Reserve. The Jaguars traded for Joshua Dobbs on Monday, but he's expected to backup Minshew until Foles is ready to return. Minshew looked good in relief of Foles in Week 1 against the Chiefs, going 22-for-25 for 275 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. It was basically in garbage time in a blowout, though, and it's unlikely he'll be much of a QB2 next week in Houston. Still, Minshew is worth consideration off the waiver wire in deep two-QB leagues now that he's the starter.

From RotoBaller

Sep 8 4:20pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew wasn't supposed to see serious minutes in the team's season-opening loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but a shoulder injury to quarterback Nick Foles led to Minshew playing the final three quarters. Minshew was 22-for-25 throwing the ball, with a pair of touchdown passes and an interception. He added six rushing yards on one carry. Minshew came close to setting a team record for consecutive completions in a game. What happens next in Jacksonville will depend on what the outlook for Foles is. If he misses time, Minshew showed that he can keep the Jaguars offense running, though the overall ceiling on the team is lower without Foles.

Aug 30 8:50am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarter Gardner Minshew did enough this preseason to claim the team's backup job, but after going 11-for-26 for just 79 yards in the preseason finale against the Falcons, Minshew officially ends the preseason without a touchdown pass. Sure, it was the preseason, but it's still not an encouraging sign for a team to do into the year with such an unproven commodity as their QB2, especially when that quarterback had a so-so preseason. If anything happens to Nick Foles, this entire offense could be in trouble.

From RotoBaller

Aug 25 12:47pm ET

The three-way battle for the Jacksonville Jaguars' backup quarterback job between rookie Gardner Minshew, Tanner Lee, and Alex McGough appears to have been won by Minshew. Phillip Heilman of The Athletic reports that Lee and McGough were practicing kickoff coverage in Tuesday's training camp practice, with Minshew leading the second-team offense. Nick Foles has a firm lock on the starting quarterback role, but Minshew was an exciting college player and is worth a roster spot in dynasty leagues in case the Foles era in Jacksonville doesn't go as planned.

From RotoBaller

Aug 25 12:45pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew's preseason debut didn't go the way he was hoping. The rookie was 7-for-14 throwing the ball for 46 yards. He didn't throw a touchdown or an interception. Minshew also added three rushing yards on two carries. It wasn't a great performance, but it did surpass that of his competition for the team's backup job. Alex McGough was 3-for-8 with 19 yards and a pick, while Tanner Lee was 0-for-3 with an interception. It's safe to say Minshew is Jacksonville's QB2 this year, though even a Nick Foles injury wouldn't propel him to fantasy relevance.
