Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) was listed as limited participant during practice Thursday, Dec. 12.
Fantasy Spin: Williams has been sidelined since Week 11, but there is optimism that he could return Sunday and be a RB2/flex factor in the fantasy playoffs. The key might be if Williams can up his participation level to full in practice Friday.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Fantasy Spin: Williams has missed the last few games but appears to have a chance to play in the Week 15 game. He can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in fantasy leagues if he is active for the game.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) is back on the practice field on Wednesday. Williams has been out since Week 11. In Week 14 against the Patriots, all three of LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson and Spencer Ware were involved in Kansas City's backfield. A Williams return in Week 15 against the Broncos would make this backfield even tougher to predict for fantasy owners moving forward. Ware will likely be the odd-man out if Williams is back, but that's no guarantee. Either way, fantasy owners in the playoffs shouldn't be planning on using Williams this Sunday.
From RotoBaller
The Kansas City Chiefs have declared QB Chad Henne, CB Rashad Fenton, RB Damien Williams, OT Jackson Barton, CB Morris Claiborne, TE Deon Yelder and OG Nick Allegretti inactive for Week 14.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder), CB Rashad Fenton (hamstring) and RB Damien Williams (rib) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 14 versus the New England Patriots. DE Frank Clark (shoulder) and S Jordan Lucas (shoulder, illness) did not practice Friday, Dec. 6, and are listed as questionable. OT Eric Fisher (groin), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring), QB Patrick Mahomes (knee), DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow) and DE Alex Okafor (ankle) practiced in full all week and no longer appear on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) did not practice Friday, Dec. 6, and was ruled out of Week 14 by head coach Andy Reid.
Fantasy Spin: Last year's late-season fantasy darling is off to a rough start this December as he's been sidelined since getting hurt in Week 11 in Mexico City. With fellow RB Darrel Williams landing on IR this week, that means the Chiefs' backfield will be in the hands of veteran LeSean McCoy and rookie Darwin Thompson.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) remained out of practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Unless Williams gets in at least a limited practice on Friday, he's headed for his second straight missed game after getting injured in Week 11. With Darrel Williams (hamstring) on Injured Reserve, we could be looking at a committee approach with LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson and Spencer Ware in Week 14 against the Patriots. Even if Williams is able to play, he'd be an RB3/flex to fade in the fantasy playoffs. Thompson might have the most fantasy upside this weekend with the Chiefs limiting McCoy's touches down the stretch.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) will not practice Thursday, Dec. 5, according to the team.
Fantasy Spin: Williams has not practiced or played since the Week 11 Monday-night game in Mexico City, and a Week 14 return is looking less and less likely with each missed practice this week. Friday likely is Williams' last hope, and we'll wait to see what transpires.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Fantasy Spin: Williams may have a chance to play in the Week 14 game but probably will have to practice at some point this week. Fantasy players will need to check on his status later in the week because he should be a starting option if he plays.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) has a chance to play in Week 14 against the Patriots despite the team signing running back Spencer Ware on Tuesday. Ware will be an emergency option with Darrel Williams (hamstring) a long shot to play this Sunday. Damien Williams missed Week 13 coming out of the Week 12 bye, so you shouldn't be counting on having him for the first round of the fantasy playoffs. Even if Williams does play, he'll likely lose valuable touches to both LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson. If Damien is inactive again, Thompson would have clear flex appeal in deeper leagues after outproducing Shady in the win over the Raiders.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) has a chance to return to Sunday, Dec. 8, against the New England Patriots, according to Adam Teicher of ESPN.
Fantasy Spin: Free-agent RB Spencer Ware was signed Tuesday, but Teicher notes it was more of an emergency signing at this point as RB Darrel Williams also battles injury. Damien Williams remains a risky play due to his timeshare with LeSean McCoy and the Week 13 emergency of Darwin Thompson, but he played 73 percent of the offensive snaps in two straight games before sustaining the injury in Week 11.
From TheHuddle
The Kansas City Chiefs have declared TE Deon Yelder, QB Chad Henne, SS Jordan Lucas, OG Nick Allegretti, RB Damien Williams, DE Demone Harris and OT Jackson Barton inactive for Week 13.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Oakland Raiders. WR Sammy Watkins (illness) was upgraded to a full practice Friday, Nov. 29, and has been removed from the injury report. DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow), TE Blake Bell (ankle), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring), S Jordan Lucas (shoulder), QB Patrick Mahomes (knee), DE Alex Okafor (ankle) and OT Mitchell Schwartz (knee) participated in full all week and no longer appear on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Raiders. The backfield will feature LeSean McCoy, Darrel Williams and maybe Darwin Thompson against Oakland. With Shady and Williams potentially splitting touches down the middle, both will be on the RB2/3 borderline, with McCoy being the more attractive fantasy option in a potential blow-up spot. In the first meeting with the Raiders, McCoy ran 11 times for only 23 yards, but he was also playing second fiddle to Damien Williams at that point.
From RotoBaller
Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) on Friday, Nov. 29, was ruled out of the team's Week 13 game against the Oakland Raiders.
Fantasy Spin: Not even the Chiefs' bye last week was enough time for Williams, who was injured in Week 11. Look for LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams to serve as K.C.'s lead backs and both are viable RB2/flex plays.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) wasn't seen during the open portion of the team's practice Friday, Nov. 29.
Fantasy Spin: Williams suffered a rib injury during K.C.'s Week 11 game in Mexico City, and the bye week seemingly hasn't been enough to get him back on the field, making fellow RBs LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams viable low-end RB2 plays unless we hear otherwise over the ensuing two days.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) and WR Sammy Watkins (illness) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 28. DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow), TE Blake Bell (ankle), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring), S Jordan Lucas (shoulder), QB Patrick Mahomes (knee), DE Alex Okafor (ankle) and OT Mitchell Schwartz (knee) practiced in full.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) was not present at practice for the portion open to the media on Thursday. It's his second straight missed practice coming off the Week 12 bye, so Williams doesn't look to be on track to suit up for Week 13 against the Raiders after getting injured in Week 11. Even if Williams does play this Sunday, there's no guarantee he'll out-touch LeSean McCoy as the lead back in KC. Darrel Williams could also get more involved if Damien has his snaps limited. It's a tough backfield to predict as long as all three backs are active this weekend, making Damien Williams a shaky RB3/flex if he is able to practice on Friday.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) was out of practice Thursday, Nov. 28.
Fantasy Spin: It's starting to feel like he'll be out this week since they were on a bye last week, and he still can't go. LeSean McCoy could wind up being a low-end RB2 in PPR formats against the Oakland Raiders.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) will not practice on Wednesday. Williams suffered his injury in Week 11, but it appears the week off in Week 12 didn't help him all that much. He could still play this Sunday against the Raiders if he returns to practice later this week, but as of now it's looking like LeSean McCoy is the better RB2/3 play for fantasy owners in a good matchup. Even if Williams returns in Week 13, he could split carries and snaps with Shady and frustrate fantasy owners that put him in their starting lineups. Darrel Williams would be the backup for McCoy if Williams is inactive this weekend.
