Player Notes
Nov 12 3:10am ET

In one of the toughest games of his career, Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson bashed and bounced his way to 89 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's win over the 49ers on Monday night. Tallying just 3.6 YPC, it seemed like Carson was constantly being hit. His long rush for the night was just nine yards, and he truly fought for every inch he gained. Carson contributed one of five Seahawks fumbles on the evening, but his was actually recovered, so it likely won't be the focus of this week's conversations about fumbling. Carson continues to be one of Seattle's focal points on offense, though he's probably going to be taking a lot of painkillers this week. Good thing they have a bye next week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 12 12:23am ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson rushed 25 times for 89 yards and a touchdown in the Week 10 win against the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

Fantasy Spin: Carson was impressive against the suffocating defense of the 49ers, and he has now rushed for 89 or more yards in six of the past seven outings while scoring a touchdown in four of the past six (three rushing, one receiving). Fantasy owners will need to make alternate plans in Week 11, as the team is on a bye.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 6:13pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) remained a full participant in practice Saturday, Nov. 9.

Fantasy Spin: Carson is good to go for Week 10, albeit in a tough matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Typically a high-end RB2, he should be viewed as an RB3/flex option this week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 3:10pm ET

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson has pretty much been exactly what owners expected so far. He's averaging 4.4 YPC, slightly down from last season, but he's racking up nearly 85 yards per game, leaving him on pace to top 1,300 yards this season. He's also seen a bump in his receptions as Seattle has tried to get their running backs more involved in the passing game. Now, he'll face his toughest matchup of the season in SF. However, maybe it won't be quite as tough as first thought. The 49ers lost Kwon Alexander for the season and got ripped by Kenyan Drake last week. It looks like the best defense in the NFC may be susceptible to the run. If that's the case, expect Carson to be a focal point of Seattle's offense on Monday night.

From RotoBaller

Nov 8 7:43pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 8.

Fantasy Spin: Carson ranks second in the NFL with 175 carries and sixth with 764 yards. He should continue to see significant carries this week and can be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 7 8:03pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) was listed as a limited participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.

Fantasy Spin: Carson topped 100 yards rushing last week for the first time since Week 6, so it makes sense for him to be a little more tired and sore than usual. There doesn't seem to be any concern over his Week 10 status.

From TheHuddle

Nov 4 1:30am ET

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson throttled the Tampa defense on Sunday as he rushed for 105 yards on the ground, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. Carson was held scoreless, but his 133 scrimmage yards are nothing to sneeze at. He did cough up a fumble, but he continued to show that he is a critical part of Seattle's offense. The high-scoring affair meant Seattle didn't get to feed him the rock as often as in previous games, but Carson showed that he could succeed against a vaunted defense. He'll face another such front next week, but the Seahawks have shown that Carson is someone to be counted on.

From RotoBaller

Nov 4 1:13am ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson carried 16 times for 105 yards and caught both of his targets for 28 more yards in Week 9 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also lost his fourth fumble of the season.

Fantasy Spin: This game saw the return of his ball-security issues (two fumbles, losing one), although it's not hard to understand why he put the ball on the ground either time. Carson did the bulk of his damage on a 59-yard run. The third-year back will probably have to answer questions about fumbles again this week, but it's clear he's in no immediate danger of losing work to Rashaad Penny. Owners need to keep him in lineups despite a difficult matchup in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 8:50pm ET

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson has been an RB1 over the last five weeks. He rushed for 501 yards and two scores with another through the air over the last five games. He'll have a tough test against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. The Bucs have been among the best against the position during the stretch. Carson has what it takes to break through, though, and he's a low-end RB1 this week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 8:33pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 1, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: Carson has rushed for at least 90 yards in four of the last five games and has two touchdowns during that span. He should have similar success against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is a must-start option in all leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 5:53pm ET

Seattle Seahawks S Quandre Diggs (hamstring) and DE Quinton Jefferson (oblique) were unable to practice all week and are listed as doubtful for Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. S Lano Hill (elbow) was limited in practice for a second straight day on Friday, Nov. 1, and is also listed as doubtful. OT Duane Brown (biceps, knee) was limited all week, while S Ugo Amadi (non-injury) was added to the injury report Friday after a limited practice, but both players no longer appear on the injury report. OT Jamarco Jones (knee), S Bradley McDougald (back), CB Tre Flowers (neck), S Marquise Blair (shoulder), QB Russell Wilson (knee), DE Ziggy Ansah (ankle), LB K.J. Wright (knee), WR Tyler Lockett (non-injury), RB Chris Carson (non-injury), LB Bobby Wagner (non-injury), CB Neiko Thorpe (tooth), DT Al Woods (neck), OG Mike Iupati (knee), DE Jadeveon Clowney (knee) and QB Geno Smith (oblique) practiced in full and have also been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 31 7:43pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) was upgraded to a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 31.

Fantasy Spin: Carson faces a stiff test against the NFL's No. 1 rush defense, but he's still an RB2 as QB Russell Wilson helps relieve some of the pressure Carson would face from the defense.

From TheHuddle

Oct 30 8:43pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Fantasy Spin: Carson continues to be a big part of the Seahawks offense and has at least 20 carries in each of the last five games. He will continue to receive a lot of carries against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is a must-start option in all leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 28 11:40am ET

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson carried the ball 20 times for 90 yards and punched in a goal-line touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons. Carson ran like someone stole his lunch money, often bouncing off tackles and dragging defenders with him. It was his fifth game this year tallying at least four yards per carry and at least 20 touches. The 25-year-old is the clear workhorse back in Seattle, though backup Rashaad Penny did get eight carries for 55 yards. The Seahawks may have been trying to boost Penny's trade value as rumors have been abound. With or without Penny, Carson will be in the RB1/2 discussion next week against the stingy Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 7:23pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson rushed 20 times for 90 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. He was targeted once but didn't have a catch, too.

Fantasy Spin: Carson rebounded after an uneven performance against the Baltimore Ravens, returning to the end zone for the second time in three games. He has 20 or more carries in five straight games with 90 or more rushing yards in four of the outings. Carson is the bellcow in Seattle and a solid low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 in all fantasy leagues. Next up is a visit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9.

From TheHuddle

Oct 25 8:03pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

Fantasy Spin: Carson has been a focal point on offense for the Seahawks this season and will continue to receive plenty of carries in the running game. He should be at least a No. 2 running back in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 25 5:53pm ET

Seattle Seahawks S Lano Hill (elbow) and DT Quinton Jefferson (oblique) were unable to practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 8 versus the Atlanta Falcons. OL Germain Ifedi (knee) did not practice for a second straight day on Friday, Oct. 25, and is listed as questionable. S Bradley McDougald (back), CB Tre Flowers (neck), Ziggy Ansah (ankle) and S Quandre Diggs (hamstring) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. OT Duane Brown (biceps) was upgraded to a full practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. OT George Fant (shoulder), RB Chris Carson (non-injury), WR Tyler Lockett (non-injury), OL D.J. Fluker (hamstring) and QB Russell Wilson (knee) were full participants in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 24 7:43pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 24.

Fantasy Spin: Carson failed to rush for 100 yards last week after breaking the threshold in three straight games. He has just two rushing touchdowns on the year, but he has two as a receiver and is a reliable RB1.

From TheHuddle

Oct 23 8:43pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Fantasy Spin: Carson has received at least 20 carries in each of the last four games and has posted three 100-yard games in that span. He will continue to be the focal point in the running game for the Seahawks and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 21 10:50am ET

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson tallied 65 yards on 21 carries during a 30-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7. He also caught three passes for nine yards in the loss. It was a sloppy game for both offenses, as heavy rain debilitated the impact of skill players. Carson had three-straight games with over 100 rushing yards before this contest, and he should be able to get back on track against a porous Atlanta Falcons Defense in Week 8.
