Player Notes
Oct 13 7:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 19-of-35 passes for 273 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in Week 6 against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes looked mortal over the past two games, banging up his ankle and suffering from a lack of mobility. His fantasy lines were just average as a result. However, while his ankle might not have been 100 percent, he had his deep threat Tyreek Hill back, and they hooked up for two scores. It's a quick turnaround for Mahomes and the Chiefs, as they head to Denver on Thursday for their Week 7 game.

From TheHuddle

Oct 13 6:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was somewhat underwhelming in the 31-24 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 6. He completed 19 of 35 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. The last three weeks have been fairly average weeks for Mahomes in terms of fantasy production. The three touchdowns was helpful, but Mahomes has looked a bit off lately. He was limping around after tweaking his bum ankle once again. It shouldn't be something that sidelines him, but the Chiefs do play the Denver Broncos on Thursday next week. Mahomes will be locked in as a top QB1, assuming he's healthy.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 8:33pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 11, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes is leading the league in passing yards this season and may be in a high scoring game this week. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 5:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs OT Eric Fisher (groin), DT Chris Jones (groin) and LB Dorian O'Daniel (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 6 versus the Houston Texans. WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) also did not practice all week, while OG Andrew Wylie (ankle) did not practice Friday, Oct. 11; both players are listed as doubtful. WR Tyreek Hill (shoulder) was downgraded to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable. LB Anthony Hitchens (groin) remained a limited participant in practice Friday but was taken off the injury report. OT Cameron Erving (knee), DE Alex Okafor (hip), FB Anthony Sherman (shoulder), QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) and RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) were full participants in practice Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 1:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has put together average fantasy performances over the last two weeks. He has thrown for over 300 yards in both of the last two games, but has only one touchdown to show from those contests. He should rebound nicely against the Houston Texans Defense in Week 6. The same defense that has allowed eight touchdowns and caught just one interception over the last four games. Star wide receiver Tyreek Hill (shoulder) could be back on the field this week and that would be a huge boost for Mahomes. It sounds like it'll be a shootout this week, so Mahomes should get plenty of fantasy points. He'll be a locked in elite QB1 for Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Oct 10 5:13pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) practiced in full once again Thursday, Oct. 10.

Fantasy Spin: It's been a smooth week thus far for Mahomes, and he should be all systems go Sunday.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 5:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes continued his streak of at least 300 yards last week but has been held to only one touchdown pass over the last two weeks. He may be in a high scoring game this week and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 2:00pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) said his ankle is feeling good on Wednesday and that he'll be fine moving around. Mahomes tweaked his ankle in the Sunday night loss to the Colts, but he'll practice this week and should be fine to play in an expected shootout in Week 6 against the Texans. Mahomes is a must-start, high-end QB1 as long as he's playing, and he could be getting receiver Tyreek Hill (collarbone) back on Sunday as well.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 3:30pm ET

Chiefs' QB Patrick Mahomes passed for 321 yards on 22-of-39 with one touchdown in Sunday's loss against the Colts. It was Mahomes's 5th consecutive 300+ yard passing game. He has averaged 366 yards passing in those games.

Oct 7 9:43am ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) tweaked his ankle in the Week 5 game Sunday, Oct. 6, but he expects to be OK. 'Just reaggravated it a little bit there in the first half and then got stepped on in the second half,' Mahomes said. 'Obviously it's going to be a little sore tomorrow.'

Fantasy Spin: The injury isn't really worrisome, and he should remain a must-start against the Houston Texans next week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 2:33am ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) connected on 22 of his 39 passing attempts for 321 yards and a touchdown during the team's Week 5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Mahomes also ran three times for 17 yards.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes started fast but was slowed considerably after tweaking his ankle and later having it stepped on. The reigning MVP was also short some of his top playmakers and didn't seem to get much help from the play calling. Keep an eye on the injury report, but assuming he's healthy enough to go Mahomes is staring down a tasty matchup with shootout potential against the Houston Texans.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 12:40am ET

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was able to create yards through the air, but it wasn't enough to get them the victory over the Colts in Week 5. Mahomes completed 22 of 39 passing attempts for 321 yards and a touchdown in the 19-13 loss on Sunday. This wasn't a bad game for Mahomes, but he also had to work without his two best receivers due to injury. He should've been able to take advantage of the banged up Colts' secondary, but not tonight. Tyreek Hill (shoulder) has the possibility of returning for Week 6 versus the Houston Texans. Mahomes should have a better performance in that one.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 7:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes has thrown for at least 300 yards in every game this season and should be a starting option in every fantasy league.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 7:00pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes did not throw a touchdown in the victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 4. It was the first game this season that Mahomes has been unable to throw at least one touchdown. He completed 24 of 42 passes for 315 passing yards, but fantasy owners expected more from the elite stud quarterback. Mahomes has a great chance to get back on track and put together strong fantasy numbers against the Colts in Week 5. Consider Mahomes as one of the best quarterback options for this week.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 6:03pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs OT Eric Fisher (groin) and LB Dorian O'Daniel (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 5 versus the Indianapolis Colts. WR Tyreek Hill (shoulder) was limited in practice all week but has also been ruled out. DE Alex Okafor (hip) was limited in practice all week, while WR Sammy Watkins (shoulder) was downgraded to a limited practice Friday, Oct. 4; both players are listed as questionable. RB Damien Williams (knee) was a full participant in practice all week but is also listed as questionable. RB LeSean McCoy (ankle), CB Bashaud Breeland (toe), QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle), DT Xavier Williams (ankle) and OG Andrew Wylie (chest) were full participants in practice Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 3 6:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 3.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues no matter the opponent.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 8:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes continued his streak of 300-yard games last week but was held without a touchdown pass. He is the best fantasy quarterback in the NFL and is a must-start option in all leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 29 8:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 24-of-42 passes for 315 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions. He also ran six times for 54 yards.

Fantasy Spin: It was weird seeing Mahomes failed to pass or run for a touchdown, and perhaps fantasy owners have gotten a little spoiled. He still went over 300 yards, so there's that. He'll look to get back to his usual lofty fantasy numbers when the Chiefs host the Colts in Week 5.

From TheHuddle

Sep 29 5:30pm ET

Chiefs' QB Patrick Mahomes passed for 315 yards on 24-of-42 but no touchdowns in Sunday's win in Detroit. It was Mahomes's 4th consecutive 300+ yard passing game. He has averaged 378 yards passing in those games.

Sep 29 5:10pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was shocking unable to find the end zone during the 34-30 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Mahomes completed 24-of-42 attempts for 315 passing yards without a touchdown or interception. He also ran the ball six times for 54 yards on the ground. It was a surprisingly low scoring week for Mahomes in a great matchup against the Lions Defense. Fantasy owners should consider this a fluke, and expect Mahomes to be a QB1 versus the Colts in Week 5.
