Player Notes
Oct 11 9:10pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen will be looking to recreate the magic from last season when he faces the Steelers this weekend. Allen demolished Pittsburgh's secondary last year when he tallied 14 catches for 148 yards and a touchdown, and he'll hope to do similar damage this year. Obviously, there's risk associated with starting him because Pittsburgh will clearly remember that thrashing and likely scheme to take Allen out of the game, but Allen also has the talent to beat all but the best corners in the league. Allen will be looking to come back strong after being shut down last week, and he should turn in a better showing this time.

Oct 7 2:40am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was completely held in check by the Denver Broncos Defense on Sunday. Allen tallied four catches for just 18 yards, and 17 yards of that came on his first two catches of the game. It was clear that Denver made a point of removing Allen from the game, and they were completely successful in pushing quarterback Philip Rivers into throwing checkdowns all afternoon instead. Allen is still the clear No. 1 receiver on the field, and most teams won't have a shutdown cornerback like Chris Harris Jr. at their disposal, but it's still concerning to see how much the LA offense struggled to deal with the challenge.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 12:03am ET

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen caught four of his six targets for 18 yards in a 20-13 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: Philip Rivers struggled overall in the loss, and shutting down Allen was clearly a priority for the Broncos. Still, he delivers strong results more often than not, and Allen should bounce back against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6. Don't hit the panic button.

From TheHuddle

Oct 5 2:10pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was leading the league in receiving yards after four weeks, but he's got a tough game in Week 5. Allen will be squaring off against the Denver Broncos and top cornerback Chris Harris Jr. Historically, Allen has struggled against Denver, and he only averaged 76 yards receiving in his two games against the Broncos last year. He did haul in one touchdown, and he had a decent game the second time around when he snagged nine passes, but he's still fighting an uphill battle. Allen is one of the most talented receivers in the game and a sure start in fantasy leagues, but don't be surprised if he ends up with pedestrian numbers in Week 5.

Sep 30 2:00am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was the only one of the three usual starting wideouts that actually made it to the field when the bell rung, but he was kept quiet for the vast majority of the game. Allen only officially caught five passes for 48 yards and no scores, though he had a 69-yard touchdown called back due to offensive pass interference. Allen instead played second fiddle to a cast of backups like Dontrelle Inman and Lance Kendricks. By the time he started to get rolling, the game was becoming a bit of a blowout, and the team leaned on the run game to drain the clock. Expect Allen to be loud again soon enough.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 9:43pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen pulled down five balls for 48 yards on six targets in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Spin: The yardage total was easily his lowest of the season, and it was the first time he wasn't targeted at least 10 times. In a blowout win, the Chargers kept the ball on the ground plenty, and Allen's fantasy numbers suffered. He'll look to bounce back in Week 5 against the visiting Denver Broncos.

From TheHuddle

Sep 27 1:30pm ET

After three weeks, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen is on top of the pile for receiving yards at 404. Don't expect that to change anytime soon either. Allen gets to face a horrendous Miami secondary that is one of the worst in the league, and he should be able to do whatever he wants against them. Allen has the size, the speed, the talent, the supporting cast, and the quarterback necessary to be the best in the league, and this game should certainly help him along the way. Expect another ridiculous week from Allen, and multiple touchdowns are more likely than not.

From RotoBaller

Sep 24 4:25pm ET

Chargers' WR Keenan Allen scored an impressive 43.60 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 3 loss against the Texans. Allen caught 13 passes for 183 yards with two touchdowns. It's the 2nd time this season Allen scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Sep 23 2:00am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had the best game of his career on Sunday against the Texans as he amassed a whopping 183 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Allen was targeted 17 times and caught 13 of the passes, but it wasn't enough to lead the Chargers to victory. Allen's two touchdowns included a 12-yard score that featured a nifty juke to get around a defender, and he's now accumulated three touchdowns dramatically faster than in any other season. With the Dolphins on the horizon, Allen could be on his way to a career year.

Sep 22 11:53pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen caught 13 of his 17 targets for 183 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 3.

Fantasy Spin: Allen is off to a scorching start, and he has logged at least eight catches and 98 yards in all three games while piling up 42 targets. He's a must-start WR1 heading into a juicy matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4.

From TheHuddle

Sep 22 8:30pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers' WR Keenan Allen had 13 receptions for 183 yards with two touchdowns in Sunday's loss against the Texans.

Sep 20 6:00pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (knee) was a full participant in practice on Friday and is cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Texans. Allen's knee injury was minor and just held him out of practice for a couple days. After racking up 16 catches for 221 yards in the first two games, Allen is set to face a forgiving Texans secondary that has been below-average so far. Allen continues to be the heart and soul of the receiving corps, and owners should expect another big day with lots of targets for him on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 4:53pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 20, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been targeted at least 10 times in each of the first two games of the season and should receive a similar workload this week. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 19 6:43pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (knee) remained limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy managers will want to see Allen get a little more involved as we get closer to game day, but he should be started so long as he's active.

From TheHuddle

Sep 18 7:33pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Fantasy Spin: Allen should have a good chance to play in Week 3, but fantasy players will know more about his status later in the week. He is off to a fantastic start to the season and is a must-start option in all leagues if he is healthy.

From TheHuddle

Sep 16 1:50am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was a living embodiment of the team's close loss to the Lions on Sunday as he came oh-so-close to putting up big numbers for fantasy owners but fell just short. Allen finished the day with eight catches for 98 yards, including a grab on the team's first drive that left them on the two-yard line, a missed catch due to pass interference in the end zone in the third quarter, and a missed catch that was intercepted in the end zone at the end of the game. Allen is still clearly the man on the outside, and he's going to put up some huge numbers this year. Frustrating ones like this will happen though.

From RotoBaller

Sep 15 4:43pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen caught eight passes for 98 yards against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. He was targeted 15 times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been targeted 25 times over the first two games and has posted 221 yards during that span. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues no matter the opponent.

From TheHuddle

Sep 14 3:40pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers star wide receiver Keenan Allen is already the team's No. 1 target on the outside, but he should see even more opportunities now that injuries are attacking the team's receiving corps. Tight end Hunter Henry is out for at least a month due to a fractured kneecap, and Mike Williams is considered questionable with his own knee injury. The logical place for those targets to land is in Allen's hands. Allen will still have running backs Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson to take some of the pressure off, but when it comes to working the outside, Allen's the man. Expect big things.

From RotoBaller

Sep 10 4:05pm ET

Chargers' WR Keenan Allen scored 26.30 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 1 win against the Colts. Allen caught eight passes for 123 yards with one touchdown. It's the 1st time this season Allen scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Sep 9 2:40am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen ripped the Indy defense for eight receptions and 123 yards on Sunday, including an incredible touchdown catch where he fought off double-coverage to haul in the ball. Allen was having a monster training camp before a mild ankle injury allowed him to rest for the last few weeks, but it looks like he's fully recovered and ready to ball out this season. With Mike Williams going down with a knee injury of unknown severity, Melvin Gordon continuing to hold out, and Tyrell Williams wearing a rival team's jersey in 2019, Allen may make the leap into the echelon of the truly elite receivers in the league this year.
