Player Notes
Oct 18 3:23pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman should serve as the backup running back for the Giants this week and will only see limited playing time with Saquon Barkley back. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 3:43pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 17.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman appears to be on track to play but likely will only receive a handful of touches with Saquon Barkley expected to play. He can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 3:23pm ET

New York Giants CB Corey Ballentine (concussion) was unable to practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Oct. 17. WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was limited for a second straight day. RB Wayne Gallman (concussion), DL Olsen Pierre (concussion), RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and TE Evan Engram (knee) were full participants.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 1:40pm ET

New York Giants running back Wayne Gallman (concussion) practiced in full on Thursday. After missing last Thursday's contest, Gallman looks to be on track to return in Week 7 against the Cardinals. However, Saquon Barkley (ankle) is also practicing in full and should be able to return after a two-game absence. Gallman will be a little-used backup for the Giants if Barkley is starting and playing his normal allotment of snaps. Gallman would only be on the RB2/3 borderline if the Giants play it cautious and hold Barkley out for another week. With Barkley healthy, Gallman is strictly a handcuff for Barkley owners.

From RotoBaller

Oct 16 3:33pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Spin: It seems like Gallman will return to the backup job once he is cleared to play since Saquon Barkley is practicing. Fantasy players in all leagues can avoid Gallman moving forward.

From TheHuddle

Oct 14 11:53am ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) took part in individual drills during the light practice Monday, Oct. 14.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman's status might not matter if Saquon Barkley (ankle) returns. Gallman could be a flex option if Barkley is unable to go against the Arizona Cardinals.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 7:13pm ET

The New York Giants have declared RB Saquon Barkley, WR Sterling Shepard, TE Evan Engram, RB Wayne Gallman, G Chad Slade, OT Eric Smith and LB Tae Davis inactive for Week 6.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 2:13pm ET

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (knee), RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) and WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 9, and have been ruled out for Week 6. RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited during practice but has been ruled out. LB Lorenzo Carter (neck) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring), OT Nate Solder (ankle), LB Josiah Tauaefa (knee) and LB Tae Davis (concussion) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 1:20pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion), tight end Evan Engram (knee) and running back Wayne Gallman (concussion) have all been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Patriots. With Saquon Barkley (ankle) out another week too, it'll be rookie Jonathan Hilliman and Elijhaa Penny in the backfield against the Patriots' league-best defense. It'll be hard to trust anyone in New York's offense with rookie quarterback Daniel Jones under fire without his best playmakers available. Tight end Rhett Ellison and receiver Golden Tate will be Jones' top targets in the passing game. Cody Latimer and rookie Darius Slayton will step up in three-receiver sets. This one will be ugly.

From RotoBaller

Oct 9 1:13pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 6.

Fantasy Spin: Elijhaa Penny and Jonathan Hillman figure to take whatever work the running game will allow in what figures to be a laugher against the New England Patriots. Avoid the situation altogether unless you're looking for a DFS flyer.

From TheHuddle

Oct 8 5:43pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) and WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) did not practice for a second straight day Tuesday, Oct. 8. TE Evan Engram (knee), RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Lorenzo Carter (neck) were limited. LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring), OT Nate Solder (ankle), LB Josiah Tauaefa (knee) and LB Tae Davis (concussion) fully participated in practice Tuesday.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 5:23pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 7.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman only has a few days to clear the concussion protocol, so fantasy players should not count on him this week. Jon Hilliman filled in for Gallman during the Week 5 game but is not a starting option because of the touch matchup.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 6:13pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) rushed for 14 yards on two carries against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5 before he left the game with a concussion.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman will only have a few days to go through the concussion protocol since the Giants play on Thursday Night Football. Fantasy players in all leagues should not count on Gallman next week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 3:10pm ET

Starting again in place of an injured Saquon Barkley, New York Giants running back Wayne Gallman won't return to Sunday's contest against the Minnesota Vikings after sustaining a concussion in the first half. Gallman had just 14 yards on two rushes before departing and will be replaced by rookie Jon Hilliman and fullback Eli Penny for the remainder of the game. Given today's injury, along with Barkley trending towards returning sooner than expected, it seems that the sun is quickly setting on Gallman being a useful fantasy asset.

From RotoBaller

Oct 6 2:03pm ET

Updating a previous report, New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) suffered a concussion during the Week 5 game and will not return.

Fantasy Spin: Saquon Barkley may have a chance to return in Week 6, so he would receive most of the work at running back if he plays. Jon Hilliman probably would receive the start if both Barkley and Gallman are sidelined but would not be a strong fantasy option.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 1:43pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (head) left the Week 5 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman has been starting while Saquon Barkley but will miss some time if he is diagnosed with a concussion. Barkley may be back soon, so he is probably the only Giants running back worth having on a roster.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 7:13pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (neck) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman should receive most of the work at running back this week and will be involved in the passing game in addition to the running game. He can be considered a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 5:53pm ET

New York Giants LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring) was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 5 versus the Minnesota Vikings. LB Tae Davis (concussion) was limited in practice all week and has been ruled out. RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Oct. 4, and has also been ruled out. LB Lorenzo Carter (neck) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. OG Kevin Zeitler (shoulder), RB Wayne Gallman (neck) and OT Nate Solder (neck) fully participated in practice Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 1:03pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (neck) is in line for a second straight start in Week 5 with fellow RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) being ruled out Friday, Oct. 4, with an ankle injury.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman was limited in practice earlier this week after outperforming expectations in Week 4 with 118 total yards and two TDs. And even if he's close to full strength Sunday, he'll find the going tougher against a Vikings defense surrendering the 11th-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs. He's a low-end RB2 consideration.

From TheHuddle

Oct 3 5:33pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (neck) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 3.

Fantasy Spin: Gallman was a big part of the offense last week and should have a similar role in Week 5 if he is active for the game. He should at least be a flex option in leagues and could even be a No. 2 running back in some leagues.
