Player Notes
Oct 17 3:10pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper has 23 receptions over his past three games and has topped 100 receiving yards in two of those three games. This week, the Falcons host the Rams and look to end their four-game losing streak. While it's unlikely that Hooper will remain this consistently productive throughout the season, he's certainly established himself as a key part of the elite Falcons passing game. He should be started every week without question until further notice, but don't be too surprised if he has a down week in one of his next few games if the team leans more heavily on Julio Jones or their other weapons.

From RotoBaller

Oct 15 4:05pm ET

Atlanta's TE Austin Hooper scored 25.70 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 6 loss in Arizona. Hooper caught eight passes for 117 yards with one touchdown.

Oct 13 11:13pm ET

Atlanta Falcons TE Austin Hooper caught all eight of his targets for 117 yards and a touchdown in a 34-33 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.

Fantasy Spin: Hooper seems to improve every year, and after becoming a low-end TE1 last season, he has made the leap to must-start TE1 in 2019. He is currently on pace for more than 100 catches and 1,000 yards.

From TheHuddle

Oct 13 7:50pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper was a terror on the Cardinals Defense in Week 6, catching all eight of his targets for a team-high 117 yards and a touchdown. He's now topped 100 yards in two of his past three games. The Cardinals are an extremely favorable matchup for tight ends so it's not shocking that Hooper had a solid game, but it was hard to expect him to be this good. Hooper's been a true breakout this year and should be started every week without question until further notice.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 7:30pm ET

Falcons' TE Austin Hooper had 8 receptions for 117 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's loss in Arizona.

Oct 11 10:50am ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper has been fantastic so far this season, especially in PPR leagues, but he should be started in all formats without any question this week. The Falcons take on the Cardinals in a Week 6 game that should be very high-scoring. Hooper has 20 targets over the past two weeks and should see at least seven or eight targets this week, giving him a good shot at catching six or seven passes for at least 70 yards and a chance to score.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 2:13am ET

Atlanta Falcons TE Austin Hooper corralled six of his nine targets for 56 yards in Week 5 versus the Houston Texans. He also scored on a two-point conversion.

Fantasy Spin: The formula for Hooper has been pretty consistent all season long. Atlanta fails to establish the run and fall behind by multiple scores due to a leaky defense, leaving Hooper to clean up in garbage time while the defense allows the Falcons to pick up yards in small chunks. Fantasy owners should be able to count on Hooper producing for at least one more week, as the Arizona Cardinals' defense has been dreadful against tight ends. Hooper figures to be a popular DFS option for that one.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 8:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper continued his strong start to the season in Week 5, catching six of his nine targets for 56 yards. He's now caught six-or-more passes in four of five games this year, a fantastic clip for a tight end, especially in PPR leagues. Hooper tied with Calvin Ridley for the most targets on the team in Week 5 and he was second to only Ridley in receiving yards in the game. Hooper is a must-start TE1 going forward.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 11:13pm ET

Atlanta Falcons TE Austin Hooper ranks second among tight ends with 28 receptions this season, and his 33 targets and 307 receiving yards both rank fourth at the position.

Fantasy Spin: Hooper had a steady role in the passing game last year, but he's taken another step forward this season. He's been the No. 2 option in the Atlanta passing attack, and he's emerged as a must-start TE1.

From TheHuddle

Oct 3 3:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper has been one of the clear offensive highlights for the team this year. He's caught 28 of his 33 targets on the year and led the team in receiving yards with 130 in Week 4. After being a low-end TE1 at best the first three years of his career, Hooper appears to be emerging as a weekly must-start option. Even if he slows down just a bit, he's going to be start-worthy more often than not, especially in PPR leagues. This week, Hooper and the 1-3 Falcons take on the Texans in a game the team sorely needs to win. Expect Hooper to get around seven or eight targets, giving him a good chance to catch five or six passes for about 60 yards.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 6:23pm ET

Atlanta Falcons TE Austin Hooper caught nine passes for 130 yards against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. He was targeted 11 times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Hooper has posted at least 65 yards in three of the four games this season and has been targeted 33 times in the four games this season. He should continue to be a popular target for Matt Ryan and can be a No. 1 tight end in all leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 29 5:10pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper had a fantastic game against the Titans in Week 4, catching nine of his 11 targets for 130 yards. He led the team in receiving yards and was second in targets behind only Mohamed Sanu, who had 12. Hooper has been a PPR dream so far this year with 28 catches through four games. He's a clear TE1 going forward and will look to keep the good times rolling next week on the road against the Texans.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 4:30pm ET

Falcons' TE Austin Hooper had 9 receptions for 130 yards but no touchdowns in Sunday's loss against the Titans.

Sep 27 9:50am ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper scored his first two touchdowns of the season last week and has caught 19 of his 22 targets on the year. He's off to a tremendous start to the year and should keep the good times rolling in Week 4 against the Titans. Hooper has been targeted at least six times in each game this year. The Falcons have an elite passing offense and Hooper is greatly benefiting from it. He should be able to catch about five passes and be a threat to score just about every week. Start him with confidence this week and each week going forward until further notice.

From RotoBaller

Sep 22 5:53pm ET

Atlanta Falcons TE Austin Hooper posted six catches for 66 yards and two scores in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Spin: Hooper has gathered at least four catches through the first three games, making him a decent low-end TE1 in most PPR fantasy formats. If he can continue to visit the end zone on a more frequent basis his value will obviously climb. The Falcons host the Titans in Week 4.

From TheHuddle

Sep 22 5:10pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper had six receptions for 66 yards and two scores during the loss to the Colts on Sunday. After failing to score a touchdown through the first two weeks of the year, Hooper finally came to life against Indianapolis. His absence in the end zone up to this point has been somewhat troubling, but his ability to haul in passes gives him some PPR appeal moving ahead.

From RotoBaller

Sep 19 10:40am ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper has been heavily utilized by quarterback Matt Ryan so far this year. Through two games, Hooper has been targeted 15 times and has caught 13 of those targets for 111 yards. He's been mostly targeted on short routes. His yards per reception average is only 8.5, making him a more valuable asset in PPR leagues, but he's still start-worthy in non-PPR leagues given his high usage and the lack of depth at the position. Expect him to get at least six targets this week against the Colts with a solid chance to score his first touchdown of the season.

From RotoBaller

Sep 16 5:20am ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper had just four receptions for 34 yards during the Week 2 win over the Eagles. After pulling in all nine of his looks against the Vikings in Week 2, Hooper cooled off and was barely targeted on Sunday night despite quarterback Matt Ryan throwing the ball 43 times. Hooper will attempt to get back on track in Week 3 for a meeting with the Colts. He is a borderline-start.

From RotoBaller

Sep 13 10:30am ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper was one of the team's offensive standouts in Week 1, leading the team in both receptions (9) and receiving yards (77). He caught all nine of his targets and was second on the team in targets in Week 1, behind only the great Julio Jones, who had 11 targets. Hooper has a good chance to keep the good times rolling in a favorable matchup against a weak Eagles pass defense in Week 2. Expect Hooper to deliver around the same yardage this week with a strong possibility of scoring his first touchdown of the year. Start him confidently as your TE1.

From RotoBaller

Sep 8 5:50pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper was one of the team's offensive bright spots on Sunday. Hooper caught all nine of his targets for 77 yards. He was second on the team in targets after Julio Jones, who received 11 targets from Matt Ryan. This is certainly very encouraging for Hooper going forward. If he can be consistently hovering between seven and ten targets in what should be a highly productive offense, he's almost a lock to be a TE1 and will be especially valuable in PPR.
