Player Notes
Oct 13 7:53pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy rushed eight times for 44 yards with two grabs for no gain in Week 6 against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy was the best of the lot for the Chiefs offense on the ground, but that's not saying much. He remains more of a RB3 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 7 against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night.

From TheHuddle

Oct 13 6:40pm ET

Kansas City Chief running back LeSean McCoy was looked upon as the lead back for the Week 6 matchup against the Houston Texans. McCoy saw eight carries for 44 yards in the 31-24 loss in KC. This was a pass heavy game, so the Chiefs didn't do much running in this one. Damien Williams saw just one carry, so McCoy's value could be on the rise. It appears that head coach Andy Reid is leaning on McCoy more than Williams right now. The Chiefs have a matchup in Denver versus the Broncos on Thursday. McCoy could be looked as a low-end flex option for Week 7.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 8:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 11, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy has lost some touches with Damien Williams back in the lineup but should still have a role in the running and passing game. He has a chance to be a flex option in some leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 5:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs OT Eric Fisher (groin), DT Chris Jones (groin) and LB Dorian O'Daniel (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 6 versus the Houston Texans. WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) also did not practice all week, while OG Andrew Wylie (ankle) did not practice Friday, Oct. 11; both players are listed as doubtful. WR Tyreek Hill (shoulder) was downgraded to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable. LB Anthony Hitchens (groin) remained a limited participant in practice Friday but was taken off the injury report. OT Cameron Erving (knee), DE Alex Okafor (hip), FB Anthony Sherman (shoulder), QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) and RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) were full participants in practice Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 1:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy was held without a carry in the 19-13 loss to the Colts in Week 5. He caught two passes for 23 yards through the air, but it was a disappointing game for McCoy. Lead back Damien Williams is back in the mix, so McCoy could see his value drop. He should have flex appeal against the Houston Texans in Week 6, but the Chiefs seem to go with the hot hand in the backfield.

From RotoBaller

Oct 10 5:13pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) remained a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 10.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy should be clear for Week 6, though he's now sharing the backfield with Damien Williams. They'll eat into each other's upside when both active, but either one could be any RB2 any given week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 5:53pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy was held to only two touches last week with Damien Williams back in the lineup. He should be more involved in the offense this week and can be a flex option in some leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 2:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy played only 14 snaps in Week 5 versus the Indianapolis Colts due to problems in pass protection, according to head coach Andy Reid.

Fantasy Spin: It was widely assumed McCoy got benched for his second-quarter fumble, although one could easily make the argument this reason is even worse considering how long he has played for Reid. Damien Williams (35) easily saw the most snaps in Kansas City's backfield in Week 5, although he didn't exactly do much with his 12 touches (38 total yards). McCoy is the better back of the two, but it is anyone's guess how this backfield is going to shake out from week to week at the moment.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 2:53am ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy caught two passes for 23 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. He did not register a carry.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy disappeared after losing a fumble, finishing the night with just two touches to Damien Williams' 12. Unless he was hurt it made little sense to completely freeze out McCoy in a game where Mahomes was banged up and his top WRs didn't even suit up. Keep an eye out for updates on McCoy heading into Week 6.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 1:00am ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy was not involved in the running game for the team in their loss to the Colts in Week 5. Damien Williams (knee) returned to the field this week and saw almost all of the attempts on the ground. McCoy caught two passes for 23 yards, but that was all he did in this one. However, the Chiefs abandoned the running game in the second half, so that could be part of the reason. Williams is back as the starting running back, so McCoy is going to lose value. He'll be a low-end flex option for Week 6 against the Houston Texans.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 7:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy may lose some touches this week if Damien Williams is active but should still have a solid role in the offense. He can be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 7:10pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy (ankle) has been removed from the Chiefs' final injury report on Friday. McCoy appears to have put that minor ankle injury behind him, and is ready to play in Sunday's contest against the Colts. Starting running back Damien Williams (knee) is listed as questionable for this one. The Chiefs have been running a two-RB committee when Williams is healthy. Fantasy owners should consider McCoy a low-end RB2 option, assuming Williams suits up. However, McCoy would see a boost in fantasy value if Williams does sit out.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 6:03pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs OT Eric Fisher (groin) and LB Dorian O'Daniel (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 5 versus the Indianapolis Colts. WR Tyreek Hill (shoulder) was limited in practice all week but has also been ruled out. DE Alex Okafor (hip) was limited in practice all week, while WR Sammy Watkins (shoulder) was downgraded to a limited practice Friday, Oct. 4; both players are listed as questionable. RB Damien Williams (knee) was a full participant in practice all week but is also listed as questionable. RB LeSean McCoy (ankle), CB Bashaud Breeland (toe), QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle), DT Xavier Williams (ankle) and OG Andrew Wylie (chest) were full participants in practice Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 3 6:13pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 3.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy has played well over the last few weeks with a bigger role but likely will lose some touches with Damien Williams ready to return. He can still be a flex option in fantasy leagues since he plays in one of the top offenses in the NFL.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 8:33pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy has played well as the main running back for the Chiefs but could see a drop in touches if Damien Williams is ready to return. He can still be a flex option in leagues even if he returns to his backup role.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 6:00pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy (ankle) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Shady should be able to suit up in Week 5 on Sunday night against the Colts. However, his RB2 status could be in jeopardy with Damien Williams (knee) returning to a full practice after missing the last two weeks. McCoy should see a split of the workload if Williams returns, but he'll no longer be a lock for the No. 1 duties with Darrel Williams also in the mix for touches. If Damien Williams returns, McCoy will be more of an RB3/flex against Indy.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 8:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy rushed 11 times for 56 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions and he added two grabs for 33 yards on four targets.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy was banged up last week, but he was back as the lead dog and he was needed with Darrel Williams going nowhere fast. Shady remains a decent RB2 or flex fantasy option in most leagues heading into Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts.

From TheHuddle

Sep 29 5:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy was able to contribute in both the running and passing game during the Week 4 victory over the Detroit Lions. McCoy rushed 11 times for 56 rushing yards and a touchdown in the win. He also caught two of his four targets for 33 yards through the air. McCoy has put together surprisingly good value the last two weeks, but the Chiefs have been without running back Damien Williams (knee) in those games. McCoy will remain a strong RB2 for Week 5, assuming Williams sits out again. Otherwise, McCoy will end up being a desperation flex with Williams back as the starter.

From RotoBaller

Sep 28 4:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy (ankle) re-injured his ankle in the Week 3 win, but he had a much better week of practice and is good to go for Week 4 against the Lions. There's always the risk that Shady aggravates the ankle again this weekend, but he will have RB2 upside with Damien Williams (knee) missing his second straight game. McCoy will be sharing the workload with Darrel Williams and rookie Darwin Thompson, but he's the best bet for production in this backfield. Darrel Williams is simply an RB3/flex in deeper leagues.

From RotoBaller

Sep 28 3:00pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy (ankle) is a little banged up, but should be fine for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions. The Chiefs are without running back Damien Williams (knee) once again. McCoy is going to see an increased workload because of that. The Lions have been awful at stopping the running game over the last few years. The Chiefs don't lean on the run game a whole lot, but McCoy should remain involved throughout this game. He has reliable RB2 value for this one, assuming his ankle is back to normal.
