San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 5.
Fantasy Spin: Breida seems set to make his return. He's a high-floor flex play as he's likely to handle the bulk of the passing-game work in a timeshare with Raheem Mostert.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Fantasy Spin: Raheem Mostert has scored touchdowns in consecutive games, and he had a 19-146-1 rushing line last week. It'll be interesting to see what kind of role Breida has alongside Mostert and Tevin Coleman. The New Orleans Saints are one of the best teams against RBs over the last five weeks, and as crazy as it sounds, it might be best to stay away from this situation until more is clear. It's fantasy playoff time, and they could go with the hot hand of the three.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) is taking part in practice on Wednesday. Also practicing are cornerback Richard Sherman (knee), defensive end Dee Ford (hamstring) and left tackle Joe Staley (finger). Breida was close to returning last week but was ultimately held out. The 24-year-old has a much better chance of suiting up in Week 14 against the Saints, but his return will cause even more chaos to a backfield that saw Raheem Mostert get most of the touches over Tevin Coleman last week. The matchup against New Orleans is also a bad one, so we'd suggest fading this entire backfield if Breida returns to make this situation even more head-scratching.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) hopefully will be able to play in the Week 14 game, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Fantasy Spin: Breida has missed the last few games because of the injury, so fantasy players will need to monitor his practice participation during the week. He would be facing a tough New Orleans Saints defense if he plays but could still be a flex option in some leagues.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is optimistic that running back Matt Breida (ankle), defensive end Dee Ford (hamstring) and left tackle Joe Staley (finger) will all return in Week 14 against the Saints. Breida was expected to return last Sunday, but the Niners played it cautious and held him out. Raheem Mostert outshined Tevin Coleman in the loss to the Ravens, but this backfield could become even more muddled if Breida returns. In a tough matchup with New Orleans, Tevin Coleman, Mostert and Breida would be best faded in fantasy lineups. Ford's return would be good news as the Niners look to slow Drew Brees and company. Getting Staley back would be a slight upgrade for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
From RotoBaller
Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 13's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Fantasy Spin: The team wants Breida healthy for Week 14's matchup versus the New Orleans Saints, so he will be held out of action from this afternoon's contest. Tevin Coleman, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. will share carries in the San Francisco backfield, with Coleman possessing the most fantasy value and being a decent starting option in most formats.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) won't play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13. That leaves the bulk of the rushing carries to Tevin Coleman, with Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson getting sprinkled in. It's not a great matchup for Coleman, but he remains a must-start fantasy option as long as Breida isn't around to take carries away from him.
From RotoBaller
Contrary to a previous report, San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 13's game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to a source.
Fantasy Spin: Breida had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited practice participant throughout the week. Even if he is declared active for the game, he would not be a recommended fantasy option because of the difficult matchup, as well as the fact that he would be competing at less than 100 percent. Tevin Coleman, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. will split carries if Breida is sidelined, with Coleman worthy of being a starting option in most fantasy formats.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) is listed as questionable for the Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens but is expected to play, according to a league source.
Fantasy Spin: Although Breida is on track to suit up, he will be facing a surging Baltimore defense while playing through an ankle injury. He's a desperation flex option, at best.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 13.
Fantasy Spin: Breida has missed the last few games but appears to have a chance to play this week. He would be facing a tough Baltimore Ravens defense if he is active but could still be a flex option in some leagues.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is questionable for Week 13 against the Ravens. Breida could be a game-time decision for this one. If he's active, he'll split touches with Tevin Coleman, making him more of an RB2/3 against a tough defense, although Baltimore has been more vulnerable on the ground this year. Raheem Mostert wouldn't be worth using in starting lineups as a flex if Breida returns to the fold in this backfield. Left tackle Joe Staley (finger) is also questionable. His return would be great news for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers DL Dee Ford (quad, hamstring) and WR Dante Pettis (knee) did not practice Friday, Nov. 29, and have been ruled out for Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens. RB Matt Breida (ankle) and OT Joe Staley were limited Friday and are listed as questionable. TE George Kittle (knee, ankle), WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) were also limited Friday but have been removed from the injury report. PK Robbie Gould (quad) and DT Jullian Taylor (jaw) practiced in full all week and also no longer appear on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 28.
Fantasy Spin: Breida hasn't played the last two weeks, leaving extra work for Tevin Coleman out of the Niners' backfield. He's a RB3/flex option if able to return in what's expected to be a high-scoring matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13. Coleman would be an RB2 if Breida can't suit up.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Fantasy Spin: Breida appears to have a chance to play in Week 13, so fantasy players will need to check on his status later in the week. He would have a decent role in the offense if he plays but could be benched in some leagues because of the tough matchup.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) has a chance to play in the team's Week 13 game, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on Breida's practice participation this week to see if he will be able to play. He would have a decent role in the offense if he plays but would be facing a tough Baltimore Ravens defense. He may only be a flex option in deeper leagues because of the matchup.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 12 game.
From TheHuddle
The San Francisco 49ers have declared DL Dee Ford, TE Levine Toilolo, PK Robbie Gould, OT Joe Staley, WR Marquise Goodwin, QB C.J. Beathard and RB Matt Breida inactive for Week 12.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 22, and is listed as doubtful for Week 12.
Fantasy Spin: Tevin Coleman, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. likely will all see playing time this week with Breida still sidelined. Coleman probably has the most value among the running backs and should be a starting option in all leagues.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers OT Joe Staley (finger) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers. RB Matt Breida (ankle), DL Dee Ford (quad, hamstring) and PK Robbie Gould (quad) also did not practice all week and are listed as doubtful. TE George Kittle (knee, ankle), WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) were limited in practice for a straight day Friday, Nov. 22, and are listed as questionable. LB Azeez Al-Shaair (concussion) practiced in full all week, while RB Raheem Mostert (knee) and DL D.J. Jones (groin) practiced fully for a second straight day Friday; all three players no longer appear on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) is yet to practice this week and is listed as questionable for Week 12, though he might be trending more towards doubtful. If he ends up suiting up, he's a very risky start this week. The team's No. 1 running back Tevin Coleman will likely carry the load and if Breida plays, he'd probably see around five or six touches as Raheem Mostert will likely be involved too. Breida should remain on most rosters in leagues of 12 teams or deeper but keep him on your bench this week regardless of whether he's active or not.
