Player Notes
Nov 17 8:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel logged just four receptions for an underwhelming 25 yards during the Week 11 loss to Atlanta. Samuel fizzled after scoring a touchdown in the previous two games coming into this one, but he can't take all of the blame as quarterback Kyle Allen was brutalized by a Falcons Defense that recorded five sacks and four interceptions on the day. Nonetheless, with this one behind him, Samuel will look to rebound against the Saints next Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 5:13pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel caught four passes for 25 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11. He was targeted seven times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Samuel has been targeted at least six times in all but one game this season and has three touchdowns in the last five games. He should continue to be a solid part of the passing game and could be a flex option in leagues next week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 16 8:30am ET

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel has played well as of late and will look to keep it going against the Falcons in Week 11. Samuel has received at least six targets in each of his last three games and has recorded a touchdown in three of his previous four outings. He won't get the same amount of attention from Kyle Allen that D.J. Moore does, but he is always a threat to score on a week-to-week basis. Keep him starting in all formats against Atlanta on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Nov 11 3:10am ET

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel finished with four catches for 35 yards in the loss to Green Bay but made his mark by bringing in a two-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Allen in the first quarter. As usual, he played second fiddle to D.J. Moore, who had nine receptions for 120 yards, but with four touchdowns, the 23-year-old leads all Panthers' wideouts this season. While he is inconsistent to some degree, he remains a suitable option in deeper PPR formats moving ahead.

From RotoBaller

Nov 8 3:23pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

Fantasy Spin: Samuel has recorded at least 60 yards and one touchdown in two of the last three games and should continue to have a solid role in the passing game. He can be considered a flex option most leagues this week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 7 3:23pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.

Fantasy Spin: Samuel appears to be on track to play this week and should have a role in the passing game. He has played well over the last several weeks and can be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 7 2:53pm ET

Carolina Panthers DT Vernon Butler (back), OT Greg Little (concussion) and CB James Bradberry (groin) did not practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Nov. 7. DT Gerald McCoy (knee) and RB Christian McCaffrey (knee) were upgraded to a limited practice. S Eric Reid (ankle), Curtis Samuel (hamstring), LB/DE Christian Miller (ankle), LB/DE Brian Burns (wrist), LB/DE Mario Addison (non-injury), QB Kyle Allen (shoulder) and LB Shaq Thompson (ankle) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Nov 7 2:50pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) and wide receiver Curtis Samuel (hamstring) both returned to practice on Thursday after being held out on Wednesday. McCaffrey was limited, while Samuel practiced in full. Both players will be fine for Week 10 against the Packers. McCaffrey is on a mission to break records in the NFL this year if he keeps up his current pace. He's a must-start each and every week and should thrive against Green Bay's suspect run defense. Samuel has a lower ceiling with Kyle Allen at quarterback, but he still will have WR3 upside the rest of the way.

From RotoBaller

Nov 6 4:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) and wide receiver Curtis Samuel (hamstring) both missed practice on Wednesday. The same thing went down last week before both players were active and scored touchdowns in the Week 9 win over the Titans. McCaffrey is an MVP candidate with the way he's carried Carolina's offense without quarterback Cam Newton (foot) this year. He's a must-start each and every week. Samuel had three catches for 64 yards and a touchdown last week. He's not a high-volume guy in this run-first offense led by Kyle Allen, but he'll have WR3 upside on a weekly basis.

From RotoBaller

Nov 6 3:03pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Samuel will be able to play in Week 10. He has been targeted at least six times in each of the last seven games and has three total touchdowns over the last three games. He can be considered at least a flex option if he is active.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 9:53pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel finished with three grabs for 64 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans while adding one catch for 10 yards.

Fantasy Spin: Samuel been a bit inconsistent from a fantasy perspective, but he has WR4 potential in most formats more often than not. The Panthers hit the road to take on the Packers in Week 10.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 7:10pm ET

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel had three catches for 64 yards and a score against the Titans in Week 9. After there were some doubts that the 23-year-old would be available in this one as a result of a shoulder injury, he was able to make the most of his time on the field by receiving six targets from quarterback Kyle Allen in addition to a lone rushing attempt for 10 yards. With a touchdown in two of his last three games, Samuel should be classified as a must-start in deeper formats against the Packers in Week 10.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 12:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel (shoulder) is active for Week 9 against the Titans. Samuel hasn't been as trustworthy for fantasy owners with Kyle Allen at quarterback instead of Cam Newton (foot), but he still has some fantasy appeal as a boom-or-bust WR3. The 23-year-old had a healthy 11 targets in the loss in Week 8 and went for 70 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Buccaneers on Oct. 13. Samuel may not catch a ton of passes on a weekly basis, but he's always a threat to score on a big play whenever he touches the football.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 11:53am ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (shoulder) is active for Week 9's game against the Tennessee Titans.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 9:23am ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 9's game against the Tennessee Titans, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Samuel had been listed as questionable on the injury report after participating in just one of the team's three practice sessions during the week. He is worthy of consideration as a flex option in most fantasy leagues if he is active this afternoon.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 3:23pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 1, and is listed as questionable for Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: Samuel may be a game-time decision for the Week 9 game, so fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He has been targeted at least seven times in four of the last six games and could be a possible flex option in some leagues if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 3:13pm ET

Carolina Panthers OT Greg Little (concussion) and QB Cam Newton (foot) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Tennessee Titans. LB/DE Mario Addison (non-injury) and WR Curtis Samuel (shoulder) did not practice Friday, Nov. 1, and are listed as questionable. LB/DE Christian Miller (ankle) was limited in practice for a third straight day on Friday and is also listed as questionable. DT Vernon Butler (hip), DT Gerald McCoy (knee), S Eric Reid (shoulder), LB Shaq Thompson (ankle), WR Jarius Wright (ankle), RB Christian McCaffrey (knee) and LB/DE Brian Burns (wrist) fully participated in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 1:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said that wide receiver Curtis Samuel (shoulder), who is listed as questionable for Week 9 against the Titans, is more probable than questionable. Samuel hasn't had the upside with Kyle Allen at quarterback, but he's still a fine WR3 with boom/bust potential against the Titans this weekend. Allen and the Panthers offense will be looking to bounce back after getting blown out by the 49ers in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Oct 31 3:43pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 31, after failing to practice Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Fantasy Spin: Samuel was targeted 11 times in last week's blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers. This week matchup against the Tennessee Titans isn't all that much better, but his volume and big-play ability make him a viable WR3 just about every week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 31 3:43pm ET

Carolina Panthers LB Mario Addison (non-injury), OT Greg Little (concussion) and QB Cam Newton (foot) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 31. DT Gerald McCoy (knee), LB Shaq Thompson (ankle) and LB Christian Miller (ankle) were limited. DT Vernon Butler (hip), S Eric Reid (shoulder), WR Curtis Samuel (shoulder), WR Jarius Wright (ankle), RB Christian McCaffrey (knee) and LB Brian Burns (wrist) practiced in full.
