Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Tyler Eifert caught three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Titans, showing why the Jaguars brought in the oft-injured tight end this offseason. But Eifert is a huge risk in Week 3 against a Dolphins Defense that's struggled this year but has managed to shut down opposing tight ends, allowing 2.2 fantasy points per game to the position through a pair of games. Eifert is a risky deep league streaming option on Thursday night.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert posted three grabs for 36 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Spin: Eifert's work in the red zone is his biggest benefit to fantasy owners. He is a decent low-end TE1 or top TE2. He and the Jaguars will face the Dolphins on Thursday night in Week 3.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Tyler Eifert was targeted six times in Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans. He brought in three of them for 36 yards and a touchdown. At a shallow fantasy position, Eifert's usage in this one is interesting, though the fact that he was targeted just once back in Week 1 is a reminder that he has a rock bottom fantasy floor. It might not be time to rush out and grab Eifert from the waiver wire, but you could at least keep an eye on going forward.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Tyler Eifert isn't listed as the starter on the team's initial depth chart, though the oft-injured former Bengal is likely to be the best receiving option at the position for the team. But being the "best" option doesn't necessarily translate to fantasy football success, and Eifert is best left on the bench in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. Indy allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points to the position last year, and Eifert's best left alone unless he's got an extremely plus matchup against a team that struggles against the position.

Sep 8 1:23am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert is listed second on the depth on the team's official website behind TE James O'Shaughnessy.

Fantasy Spin: Eifert has had a lot of trouble staying on the field during his NFL career, but when he is on the field he is a tremendous red zone threat. For now, avoid Eifert and simply monitor his snaps and stats in the first couple of games. He might re-emerge as a useful fantasy option, but right now he is a reserve at best.

Aug 26 9:23am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert has shown a good rapport with QB Gardner Minshew all of camp.

Fantasy Spin: Eifert has always been tremendously talented, but he hasn't been able to stay on the field. Now approaching 30, he could wind up being a decent value as a backup in fantasy.

From TheHuddle

May 14 11:13pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert suggested during an interview with the team's website Thursday, May 14, that the presence of new offensive coordinator Jay Gruden was 'a big factor' why he chose to sign with the team in free agency.

Fantasy Spin: The two spent their only year together during Eifert's rookie season with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2013, but it's clear the tight end did not forget his former offensive coordinator. It will be interesting to see if the oft-injured 29-year-old (who will turn 30 in early September) will be managed in the same way he was in 2018, as less playing time allowed him to make it through a full 16-game schedule for the first time in his career. Owners should consider him a low-end TE2 with decent upside if that can happen.
