Walker can have huge Week 1

It is a little hard to believe but the start of the season is here. And I say it every season, but there isn’t a better time of the year to be a fantasy owner. You get to see your team finally in action, seeing if your hard work has paid off. There is high hopes for all fantasy teams. And now you get to see if your calls were right or wrong. . . .at least for a week. So good luck to you this season. Here is to hoping you have a fantastic year.

Now for my random thoughts for the week. . . .

First off, don’t forget that we not only have a Thursday game as usual this week but the Chiefs and Chargers are playing Friday night in Brazil. The games are spread out again, so just keep that in mind when setting lineups. Make sure you have your players in there on time!

So I like to pick my Super Bowl teams every year in this column. I will do it again. Let’s start with the AFC. I’m not sure the Chiefs can do it again. They are another year older and while I think the passing game will be better this year, I still worry about the offensive line and the defense taking a step back, being another year older. I think the Bills get over the hump this year and knock off the Chiefs. Buffalo is a really complete team. I still with they had a true No. 1 receiver for Josh Allen, but the Bills can get by without that fine.

The NFC has plenty of contenders as well, including the Lions, Vikings, Bucs, Rams and Commanders. But I like the Eagles to repeat. It is so hard to repeat but the talent of the Eagles stands out above the rest. Much like the Bills, I consider Philadelphia the most complete team in the NFC. The Eagles can get it done on both sides of the ball at a high level.

And I will go with the Bills to beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl by a score of 31-24. It should be a fun season and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

One of my biggest wild cards this year is Travis Hunter. How are the Jaguars going to use their talented playmaker? You don’t use that high of a pick on a player and not play him early and often. I just wonder how often he will be on the field offensively for him to reach his true fantasy potential. It will be interesting to see how he is utilized this season.

I have a group of players I’m all-in on this year. They are Tet McMillan, Calvin Ridley, Omarion Hampton and Braelon Allen. I have shares of these guys all over and believe they will have big seasons. If McMillan falters, I might be in trouble. I think I have him in about every league. I just love his ceiling, though. He is the true top target for the Panthers that should rack up the weekly targets. I could see him posting numbers similar to that of Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas from their rookie seasons last year. Giddy up!

Rookie tight end Tyler Warren is shooting up draft boards, maybe more than anyone else I’m seeing right now. I get it. He is a talented player and looks to be a big part of the offense. Plus, rookie tight ends have done really well in recent years. But you have to worry about his quarterback situation. Do you really feel comfortable for Warren to have a huge season with Daniel Jones throwing him passes? That scares the heck out of me. I’m not sure he is going to live up to where he is currently going in drafts.

I’m also a little worried about the Lions offense this year. They lost a ton of coaches this offseason and the offensive line is banged up right now. I would not be surprised if this unit got off to a bit of a slow start. I do think they can get it going but maybe not at the same level of last year. That unit was something else last season.

One offense I’m really excited about this season is Denver. I think the Broncos could really put up some numbers with Bo Nix and Courtland Sutton leading the way. I think this duo could be one of the best in football. And adding Evan Engram and R.J. Harvey to the mix in the passing game bodes well for Nix as well. He is going to be a good one this year. I expect big things from the Broncos.

Chris Rodriguez is really undervalued right now. He goes several rounds behind Jacory Croskey-Merritt in recent drafts but is ahead of him on the depth chart. I think Croskey-Merritt could emerge at some point, but Rodriguez is the better fantasy back right now. I look for him to get more work early in the season. And if he plays well, Rodriguez could continue to play a big role in the offense.

News and Notes:  Panthers receiver Hunter Renfrow is listed as a starter on their first Week 1 depth chart. He is ahead of Xavier Legette right now despite just re-signing a few days ago. . . .The Jaguars listed running backs Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby as co-starters on their Week 1 depth chart. It is anyone’s guess how this situation plays out. . . . .Rookie Elic Ayomanor is listed as the starting receiver opposite Calvin Ridley for the Titans. He is ahead of Van Jefferson on the depth chart.

HOT PLAYS

Emeka Ebuka, WR, Bucs. With Chris Godwin sidelined, Ebuka opens his rookie season as the starter alongside Mike Evans. Ebuka looked fantastic in camp and preseason action, giving the team high hopes for a very productive rookie season. And he opens the year against the Falcons, a team that allowed the second-most fantasy points to receivers last season. Look for the Bucs to throw early and often against this secondary, giving Ebuka a chance for big opener.

Chuba Hubbard, RB, Panthers. Hubbard is the unquestioned lead back for the Panthers this year and should get a ton of work in that role. He is a three-down volume back, which is music to fantasy owners' ears. Hubbard plays a Jaguars team that really struggled against the run last year, allowing 132.6-rushing yards per game. Hubbard is setup for a strong Week 1 in a tasty matchup.

Drake London, WR, Falcons. London had a breakout season last year and was even better once Michael Penix took over as the starter, averaging 23 fantasy points per game while Penix was throwing him passes. So you could see London even building on his already big season. He should start fast in 2025, playing the Bucs this week. Tampa is really stout against the rush but allowed the second most fantasy points to receivers last season. London had 16 receptions for 188 yards and a touchdown in two games against Tampa last year.

Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars. If Lawrence is going to have a breakout season, this year seems his best chance. He has a new quarterback-friendly head coach and some more weapons to work with offensively in the passing game. Lawrence is setup for success in 2025. And you have to like his Week 1 matchup against the lowly Panthers. Carolina was dreadful against the pass last year, allowing the fifth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Look for Lawrence to get plenty of chances to air it out against this secondary.

Kenneth Walker, RB, Seahawks. The Seahawks rushing attack looks dominant under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who has a history of producing some big-time rushing offenses. The Seahawks ran over opponents in the preseason, which was very encouraging for Walker. He just needs to stay on the field now. Injuries are always a concern for him. But as long as he is healthy and playing, you have to like his chances to produce a huge game any given week. And a game this week against the 49ers bodes well for Walker in Week 1. Walker found the end zone in each of his games against the 49ers last year. And San Francisco allowed the fourth most fantasy points to running backs.

COLD PLAYS

Caleb Williams, QB, Bears. Williams had a huge ceiling for the coming season, playing in a new offense with a new coach and plenty of top talent surrounding him. We aren’t sure he is a plug-and-play player just yet, though. He will need to show some consistency on the field before that happens. His opener against the Vikings is a scary one. Minnesota had one of the better defenses in football last year, especially against the pass. Minnesota allowed the seventh fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks last year. Williams had fewer than 13 fantasy points his last game against Minnesota. We might steer clear of him in Week 1.

James Cook, RB, Bills. Cook held out much of camp and the preseason before finally getting his new contract. But you have to wonder if that impacts his play a little this year, at least early in the season. He could start a little slow. And a matchup against a very good Ravens rush defense doesn’t bode well for him. In two games against the Ravens last year, Cook had 26 carries for 106 yards without a touchdown.

Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings. Thielen got dealt to the Vikings right before the season and will be the starter alongside Justin Jefferson until the return of Jordan Addison from his suspension. We aren’t sure that means Thielen is an automatic great play, though. He is more of a matchup play. And a game this week against the Bears is not great one for Thielen. Chicago allowed the fewest fantasy points to receivers last year.

Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Lions. TeSlaa garnered a lot of buzz this preseason with his great play. He earned the No. 3 job for the Lions and will get plenty of playing time his rookie season. But you have to remember, he has a ton to compete with for targets in Detroit and is likely to be hit or miss for fantasy owners because of this. Much like Thielen, he is a matchup play for fantasy teams. He gets the Packers in Week 1, a team that allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to receivers last season.

Javonte Williams, RB, Cowboys. Williams opens the season as the Cowboys No. 1 back. It still isn’t certain how this running back room plays, though. It could be more of a committee. But even if it isn’t a committee, Williams is a scary play in Week 1 against the Eagles. Philadelphia is very good against the run, allowing the fewest fantasy points to running backs last year. Williams will be an iffy fantasy play to open the year.

SLEEPERS

Michael Penix, QB, Falcons. Penix got some play late last season and showed enough to make him the full-time starter going forward. He finished last year on a high note, showing his potential. He scored 29.1 fantasy points in Week 18. He starts from day one this year and opens against the Bucs. Tampa can stop the run but struggles against the pass, allowing the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks last year. Penix is a good streaming play to open the season.

Cedric Tillman, WR, Browns. Tillman is going to be one of those boom-or-bust players for the coming season. He is going to disappear some weeks but you could see him going off in others. He has big-game potential in this offense, especially with Joe Flacco starting. This week could be a good time to use Tillman. The Browns get the Bengals in what should be a high-scoring game. And you could see the Browns playing from behind, giving Tillman even more chances to make some big plays.

Jordan Mason, RB, Vikings. The Vikings are going to rotate backs this year with Aaron Jones and Mason splitting the load. All you heard were positive reports from Mason during camp, giving you hope the team will use him plenty this coming year. He could have a breakout season. You could see the Vikings employing a run-heavy attack in Week 1. It is J.J. McCarthy’s first start at quarterback and they get the Bears, a team that was good against the pass but poor against the run last season. Chicago allows the third most fantasy points to running backs.

Hunter Henry, TE, Patriots. Henry gets overlooked at times, especially since he is older and not that flashy compared to some of the other younger options at tight end. But he is going to get his targets in this new Patriots offense, an offense that historically targets the tight end. Henry has a favorable matchup against a so-so Raiders secondary to open his season. Plus, Las Vegas allowed the fourth most fantasy points to tight ends last year.

Michael Wilson, WR, Cardinals. Wilson is another one of those wild cards at receiver. You just never know what you are going to get with him. But he is starting and plays in a good passing attack. He is going to have some big games. He gets the lowly Saints this week, a team that might be the worst in football. You could see the Cardinals putting up some points against them, making Wilson an intriguing streaming option.

High/Low Scoring Games

Each week we will take a look at some of the high and low scoring games for the coming week. In high scoring affairs, get your marginal players on those teams in your lineup to take advantage of the possible points barrage. And in the low scoring games, keep those marginal players on the bench and make sure to have your defenses involved in those contests.

High Scoring Games: Cowboys/Eagles, Chiefs/Chargers, Panthers/Jaguars, Bengals/Browns, Bucs/Falcons, Lions/Packers,. Ravens/Bills.

Low Scoring Games: Steelers/Jets, Dolphins/Colts.

Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 15

Player Notes
Keaton Mitchell Dec 10 11:50pm CT
Keaton Mitchell

Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell (knee) was listed as a limited participant at Wednesday's practice. Mitchell left early during Baltimore's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14 due to a knee injury, but the injury is considered minor, and he isn't expected to miss any time. The 23-year-old running back had his best performance of the season last week with six rushes for 76 yards before tweaking his knee. He still hasn't seen a major uptick in snaps after Justice Hill (neck) was placed on Injured Reserve, however. Mitchell has played just 20 total snaps in the last two games, but he has been one of the most dynamic players in the league with the ball in his hands. He will remain just a handcuff behind Derrick Henry heading into the Week 15 divisional game against the Cincinnati Bengals while fighting for touches alongside Rasheen Ali.

Devin Neal Dec 10 11:50pm CT
Devin Neal

New Orleans Saints rookie running back Devin Neal (abdomen) was listed as a limited participant at Wednesday's practice session, according to Ross Jackson of LouisianaSports.net. Neal appears to have exited New Orleans' win over the Bucs on Sunday with an abdominal injury. His injury will be something for fantasy managers to monitor in practice this week, but he should still be on track to play in Week 15 against the division-rival Carolina Panthers. The rookie sixth-rounder recorded a career-high 20 touches for 84 yards and a touchdown last week, and he has been a quality fantasy option with Alvin Kamara (knee, ankle) sidelined. Kamara missed practice again on Wednesday and is trending towards missing his third straight game, which would line Neal up for another week as a plug-and-play starter. If Neal were to trend in the wrong direction in the next two days, Evan Hull and Audric Estime would be names to watch in the Saints' backfield.

Zonovan Knight Dec 10 11:50pm CT
Zonovan Knight

Arizona Cardinals running back Bam Knight has operated as the team's primary running back this season after injuries to James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee). Benson's season has come to an end after not being activated off Injured Reserve within his 21-day activation window. Knight has taken advantage of his opportunities in Benson's absence, sharing backfield duties with Michael Carter and Emari Demercado (ankle). He's handled 81 carries for 271 yards and four touchdowns while adding 22 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown on 31 targets. It has been underwhelming production for fantasy managers, as he ranks as the RB43 with 8.5 PPR points per game, but he's scored at least 13.2 PPR points in three of the last four games. The 24-year-old has been one of the least efficient runners in the league this season. However, he has been active as a receiver and has a firm hold on goal-line duties in what's been a surprisingly fantasy-friendly Arizona offense with quarterback Jacoby Brissett at the helm. Knight will continue to rank in low-end RB3 territory for the Week 15 game against a tough Houston Texans defense this Sunday.

Tyler Shough Dec 10 10:10pm CT
Tyler Shough

New Orleans Saints rookie quarterback Tyler Shough has finished as a QB1 in three of his last four starts, peaking at QB6 in a Week 14 upset of the Buccaneers. While he threw for only 144 yards with zero touchdowns and an interception, his day was buoyed by 55 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. He has now registered at least six carries in three straight games, topping 20 yards on the ground in two of three and showcasing a skillset that wasn't a huge part of his profile coming out of Louisville. Since taking over as the Saints starter in Week 9, he has demonstrated plus athleticism and a command of the offense, entering the conversation as a viable streamer. Unfortunately, his first two fantasy playoff matchups are against the Panthers and Jets, both of whom have been challenging for fantasy quarterbacks. He does draw a favorable matchup against the Titans in Week 17, but most managers who reach the fantasy championship will have likely done so without needing to stream the position.

From RotoBaller

Jalen McMillan Dec 10 10:00pm CT
Jalen McMillan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan (neck) is currently questionable to make his season debut versus the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15 on Thursday night. McMillan has been sidelined all season due to a neck injury he suffered in mid-August in the preseason. Both McMillan and Mike Evans (collarbone) were activated from Injured Reserve on Wednesday. It seems that both wideouts are trending in the right direction ahead of Thursday's matchup with Atlanta. There might be too many mouths to feed for McMillan to be a viable fantasy contributor, though. Rookie Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin Jr., and Evans will all likely be ahead of McMillan in the pecking order. There's some stash value here in deeper formats, but McMillan won't be a recommended starting option in 12-team leagues in Week 15 if he makes his 2025 debut on TNF.

From RotoBaller

Theo Johnson Dec 10 10:00pm CT
Theo Johnson

New York Giants tight end Theo Johnson (toe) was a limited participant for the team's first practice following a Week 14 bye. Last seen in a primetime Monday night loss to the Patriots, Johnson struggled with a costly drop while bringing in only three of his eight targets for 29 yards. His status is worth monitoring through the week, as he has built a strong connection with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, and his favorable Week 15 matchup against the Commanders has him firmly in the streaming conversation to begin the fantasy playoffs. Prior to the Week 13 loss to New England, Johnson had finished as a top-12 tight end in six of his last nine outings, and the explosive athlete is currently RotoBaller's TE15 for Week 15.

From RotoBaller

Mike Evans Dec 10 9:50pm CT
Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (collarbone) is considered questionable ahead of the upcoming Thursday night matchup versus the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15. Evans was activated off Injured Reserve on Wednesday, but it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be active this week. The veteran wideout has missed the last six games due to a broken collarbone that he suffered in Week 7. Before that, Evans missed three games due to a hamstring injury, so it's been an injury-plagued 12th season for the future Hall of Famer. There's a good chance that Evans has a limited snap count if he is active on Thursday night. He hasn't played a full game since Week 3. Everyone is aware of Evans' big-play ability, but the risk might outweigh the reward of starting him in what is the first week of the fantasy playoffs in a lot of leagues.

From RotoBaller

Emeka Egbuka Dec 10 9:50pm CT
Emeka Egbuka

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie first-round wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has struggled to produce any consistent numbers over the last month of the season. Egbuka has finished with 42 receiving yards or fewer in four straight games. His target share has been there, with eight targets or more in seven consecutive contests. Unfortunately, Egbuka and quarterback Baker Mayfield aren't on the same page right now. Egbuka's fantasy value could drop even more going forward with veteran Mike Evans (collarbone) trending in the right direction to return in Week 15. Egbuka figures to lose targets to Evans and Chris Godwin Jr. to close out what has been a strong first NFL season. The rookie wideout has enough big-play potential to warrant a look for the Thursday night matchup versus the Atlanta Falcons, but fantasy managers might want to temper their expectations for him as a WR3/flex.

From RotoBaller

Chris Godwin Dec 10 9:50pm CT
Chris Godwin

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. has been a decent contributor on offense over the last two games as he puts a fractured fibula in the rearview mirror. Godwin had a season-high five receptions for 55 yards during last week's loss to the New Orleans Saints. The 29-year-old has been seeing more involvement lately, but that could change, beginning on Thursday night versus the division-rival Atlanta Falcons. Both Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck) have been activated from Injured Reserve and could suit up against the Falcons. If that happens, Godwin could quickly see a reduced role in this offense. The good news is that Godwin is the best slot receiver on this roster and should remain a key part of the passing attack. He should still see enough work to muster up WR3/flex value this week.

From RotoBaller

Jake Ferguson Dec 10 9:50pm CT
Jake Ferguson

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson (calf) was limited during Wednesday's practice with a calf issue. Ferguson had a clean bill of health heading into Week 14's Thursday night matchup with the Lions, and he was heavily involved throughout the game, finishing with five catches on seven targets for 58 yards. Ferguson has been the TE3 in Half-PPR formats and is RotoBaller's TE8 heading into a Week 15 Sunday night matchup with the Vikings, so his status certainly bears monitoring. Third-year tight end Luke Schoonmaker makes for an interesting pivot should Ferguson's availability remain cloudy until game time, but with all teams now past the bye, fantasy managers should be able to find higher upside streaming options in what would be a worst-case scenario.

From RotoBaller

David Sills Dec 10 9:50pm CT
David Sills

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver David Sills V was targeted four times in Week 14's 37-9 loss to the Seahawks, however, he failed to haul in any of those passes. It was a disappointing performance after two straight weeks catching touchdown passes from Kirk Cousins. Despite the goose egg, two of the 29-year-old's targets came in the red zone, and he was on the field for 94 percent of the team's offensive plays, which was well ahead of wide receivers Darnell Mooney (77 percent) and Dylan Drummond (61 percent). With Drake London (knee) ruled out once again, Sills will have another opportunity to produce on Thursday night against a Tampa Bay defense that has yielded the sixth-most passing yards per game this season (237.8). The 6-foot-3 wideout has a floor of zero, but has the potential for another touchdown catch as well, making him a very risky WR option in only the deepest of formats.

From RotoBaller

Baker Mayfield Dec 10 9:40pm CT
Baker Mayfield

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is looking to break out of his slump against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night in Week 15. Mayfield hasn't been himself lately, with fewer than 200 passing yards in each of his last four games. He suffered an AC joint sprain during the loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12, which could still be impacting Mayfield's performance on the field. The 30-year-old does have a plus matchup against the Falcons' defense this week, though. All-Pro wide receiver Mike Evans (collarbone) could be making his return to the field as well. Evans has been out since Week 7, but his return should give Mayfield a boost in fantasy value. It has been a disappointing couple of weeks for Mayfield, but fantasy managers should be able to trust him as a low-end QB1/high-end QB2. In the Week 1 win over Atlanta, the veteran signal-caller threw three touchdown passes.

From RotoBaller

Bucky Irving Dec 10 9:40pm CT
Bucky Irving

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving has seen a heavy workload since making his return in Week 13. Over the last two games, Irving has carried the ball 32 times for 116 rushing yards with one touchdown on the ground. Irving has also added four receptions for 46 yards and an additional score as a pass-catcher. The 23-year-old should be a full-go for the upcoming Thursday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, a defensive unit that has been middle-of-the-road when it comes to fantasy points allowed to opposing backs this season. Irving should continue to see the vast majority of backfield work for the Bucs, especially with quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) struggling to find consistency in the passing game right now. Fantasy managers should feel fine about penciling in Irving as an RB1 in Week 15.

From RotoBaller

Rachaad White Dec 10 9:40pm CT
Rachaad White

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White has fallen back into the No. 2 role in Tampa's backfield. White took over as the lead back earlier this year when Bucky Irving missed seven games due to foot and shoulder injuries. Irving is back up to full speed, though, so White has been delegated to change-of-pace duties. Last week, White rushed the ball 11 times for 53 yards in the loss to the New Orleans Saints. It was actually a bit surprising to see White average 4.82 yards per carry. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect those results weekly, especially with fewer touches. White belongs on the bench in most fantasy formats for the upcoming Thursday night matchup versus the Atlanta Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Ladd McConkey Dec 10 9:40pm CT
Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice. This is a new injury for McConkey, so it bears monitoring, but it should be noted that he led all Chargers non-quarterback skill players with 64 offensive snaps in a Week 14 overtime win over the Eagles. The Chargers travel to Kansas City in Week 15, and with a banged-up offense coming off one of their sloppier performances of the season, it's reasonable to distrust most of Los Angeles' passing game against a Chiefs defense that has been stout across the board for most of the year. McConkey is currently RotoBaller's WR22, though that ranking could drop based on his practice availability.

From RotoBaller

Justin Herbert Dec 10 9:20pm CT
Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (hand) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, but he informed the gathered media that he's further along than he was at this point last week, with his grip strength improving. In a gutsy Monday night win over the Eagles, he completed fewer than 50% of his passes for under 150 yards and one touchdown. He also threw an interception and fumbled twice, while taking a beating all night long. With injuries continuing to mount on the offensive line, he faced 26 pressures and was sacked seven times, with notable contact made to his injured non-throwing hand throughout the game. The Chargers face another swarming defense in Week 15 when they travel to Kansas City. Playing behind a battered offensive line that has been overmatched for most of the season, Herbert is RotoBaller's QB20 heading into the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

From RotoBaller

Alvin Kamara Dec 10 9:00pm CT
Alvin Kamara

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (knee, ankle) was a non-participant during Wednesday's practice session. Kamara has yet to practice since he suffered a sprained MCL in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons. Rookie RB Devin Neal (abdomen) was limited to begin the week as well. That leaves Audric Estime and Evan Hull as the only healthy running backs on the Saints' roster. Fantasy managers will need to monitor the health of these two backs ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. This would be a situation to avoid for fantasy managers if both Kamara and Neal are unable to suit up. With the Saints out of playoff contention, it's unlikely they will rush Kamara back, so fantasy managers should not expect to have him available this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Alec Pierce Dec 10 8:50pm CT
Alec Pierce

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (rib) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Pierce suffered an undisclosed injury at the end of last week's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but now we know it was a rib ailment. It doesn't appear to be anything serious with Pierce already back to being a full participant in practice. Fantasy managers should fully expect Pierce to be ready to play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 on Sunday on the road. His fantasy value will take a hit with quarterback Daniel Jones (Achilles) out for the rest of the season. Pierce isn't as appealing with either Philip Rivers or Riley Leonard (knee) making the start in a tough road matchup this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Trevor Lawrence Dec 10 8:50pm CT
Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice. Lawrence didn't have any kind of wrap on his ankle when addressing the media, though. It seems like a minor injury that shouldn't keep him out of the upcoming Week 15 matchup against the New York Jets on Sunday, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on his status over the next couple of days. Lawrence has played better lately, with multiple touchdown passes in three straight games. Fantasy managers should check back on Thursday and Friday for another update on his status. Lawrence should offer low-end QB1 value for this weekend as long as his ankle won't limit his mobility inside and outside of the pocket.

The Detroit Lions were awarded CB Jalen Mills off waivers from the Houston Texans Wednesday, Dec. 10, and in a corresponding move, TE Hayden Rucci was waived.
